Chapter 26

overly concerned that the monstrous male, his traitor Beta, who had been sent to eliminate him, would also finish his little sister once he's done with him. Alpha Brentwood regained his wolf strength.

Alpha Brentwood cleanly slashed off the monstrous male's arm, which was gripping his neck, before the male could behead him.

He then took the truck that had hit him and his sister off the road, using it to carry her to a small pack he could trust for medical help.

Dahlia regained her consciousness a few minutes after the small pack doctor examined her, but she still hadn't healed fully because her injuries were severe.

Dahlia wanted to leave with Alpha Brentwood after learning that he was planning to go alone to his pack, but Alpha Brentwood didn't want her to follow him, knowing his Beta would send more men to kill him after finding out that he wasn't dead.

As expected of his Beta, Johnson, who had been his best friend since childhood, Alpha Brentwood was attacked several times on his way to his pack and was even kicked out of the moving truck.

When he arrived on his pack land, his white shirt was torn up from all the fighting on his way there and stained with blood from his attackers.

The fight wasn't done yet. It had just started.

A hundred men who had teamed up with his Beta were waiting for him when he walked onto his land.

The Beta stood before them, staring gravely at him.

"Why did you decide to take my place as the alpha?" Alpha asked, staring fiercely back at him.

"I've gotten comfortable in your seat, and one day I decided that I didn't want to lose this comfort. Hearing from your sister, who wanted me to send help because you've become weak after being rejected by your fated mate, I thought, Why not use it to my advantage to get rid of you myself?" his Beta answered proudly.

His beta reminding him of his fated mate rejecting him made Alpha Brentwood even angrier.

The hundred men surrounding him attacked him all at once.

"I'm going to show you why I'm the strongest alpha," Alpha Brentwood growled.

His claw emerged from his finger, and he started slashing. His slash was so powerful that it killed all 100 men in a single strike.

Soon, it was down to him and the Beta alone.

The Beta, seeing that he was no match for his 100 men, began to flee. Before he could move, Alpha Brentwood flashed before him, stopping him.

"Please have mercy on me!" the beta trembles, begging.

"I have no mercy for anyone who tries to kill my family," said Alpha Brentwood, pulling his head from his body with one thrust.

A Few Months Later

Dahlia thought keeping the news from his brother that his fated mate had come looking for him the day he was returning to his pack was the best thing she did to protect him from ever being hurt by her again.

Keeping such a big secret from him, she felt she'd betrayed him in the worst way his beta and best friend, Johnson, had done to him.

She decided to tell him.

She knocked on his office door.

"You don't have to knock, Dahlia," said Alpha Brentwood, sensing it was her.

Dahlia slowly pushes the door open.

As usual, Alpha Brentwood was handling dozens of documents. He has been working nonstop ever since he returned to his pack. Dahlia knew it was his way of trying to deal with his fated mate's rejection.

"Brother, I have something to tell you, but please tell me you won't get mad at me and will forgive me, for I was only trying to protect you," said Dahlia, and she began to cry.

Seeing her sister cry, Alpha Brentwood rushed from his desk to comfort her. He loathed seeing anyone he loved cry.

"Tell me everything; I promise not to be mad at you," Alpha Brentwood said, holding Dahlia by both of her shoulders and staring into her eyes, worried about her.

Dahlia told him everything, and Alpha Brentwood kissed her on the forehead, happily, before dashing from the office to find his fated mate.

Dahlia trailed behind him as well.
