Chapter 18 CHAPTER 18
Chapter eighteen
Kieran’s POV
My heart was raging as I rode through the thick forest, my grip tight around Kayla’s reins. She galloped at full speed, her powerful legs pounding hard against the ground , but no matter how fast we went, the pain in me never ran
The past is always here. It did not fade. It did not leave. It remained, it constantly reminded me of who I was, like an open wound that refused to close.
My eyes turned red as I heard her scream—piercing, raw, filled with pain and terror
Lily.
My sister’s voice as she desperately called me to save her but I couldn't, I was tied down like an animal as I watched my sister burn into ashes .
I clenched my jaw, my fingers tightening around the reins so hard my knuckles turned white. The memory was just there, dragging me back to that night, forcing me to remember the horror which I have always wanted to bury.
A strangled growl tore from my throat. Out of agony and anger yet that fking shaman has no solution to this.
Rage burned through me like it wanted to consume me, and I dug my heels into Kayla’s sides, urging her to move faster. I needed to act. I needed to do something before this anger consumed me completely.
Sienna.
Darius’s daughter.
She has to suffer.
Kayla burst through the iron gates of the mansion as she finally came to a halt. I swung off her back effortlessly, my breathing ragged, my hands clenched into fists.
A guard approached, bowing. “Alpha.”
My voice was low but commanding “Take the girl to the Torment Hall.”
The guard nodded
“And,” I growled. “Bring Razor.”
His eyes widened slightly, but he did not question me. He simply bowed again and hurried off to carry out my orders.
As I stepped into the mansion, the servants and guards all lowered their heads in respect. I barely noticed them. My mind was elsewhere, trapped between the past and the present.
\~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
By the time I arrived at the Torment Hall, a crowd had already gathered.
The hall was a large, open space. It was a place built for punishment, for suffering.
And today, it will serve its purpose well.
I moved toward my seat at the front, my gaze fixed on the center of the hall where the both of them stood
Razor—a mentally unstable man in the town who is known for beating up the people for fun. We had him locked up after beating a young warrior to coma.
And Sienna.
She looked smaller than before, very small and fragile . Her clothes hung loosely off her frame, I guess the guard wore her back her clothes, her skin looks pale.
But there was no way I didn't see the fear in her eyes as she watched confusedly.
“Razor, do what you know how to do best,” I ordered and Razor let out a knowing smile.
The crowd murmured with anticipation.
Razor cracked his knuckles and the people clapped. He turned toward Sienna, his eyes shining with cruelty
“Well, well,” he laughed wickedly, showing his dirty teeths. “Looks like I finally get to have some fun.”
Sienna swallowed hard, but she did not move.
The first punch came fast. It's very hard that the people to gasp at the impact.
She gasped, doubling over, her arms wrapping around herself. But Razor did not give her time to recover.
His fist slammed into her ribs next, this one sending her staggering backward.
The crowd roared with approval.
I watched as Razor kept throwing the punches one after the other. Each punch comes with a harder force.
Her body jerked with each hit. She didn’t fight back. She didn’t even raise her hands in defense.
Weak.
She was too weak.
Darius didn't teach her how to fight?
Such a stupid man
Razor grabbed her by the hair, yanking her head up so she was forced to look at him. “Not so tough, huh?” he muttered but I could read his lips before driving his knee into her stomach.
She choked on air, dropping to her knees.
I leaned forward.
He threw another punch—this time to her face. Her head snapped to the side, blood trickling from her lip.
She fell.
The crowd cheered.
Razor chuckled darkly, stepping closer, standing over her. “What’s wrong, princess?” he mocked. “Had enough already?”
She coughed, her fingers trembling as they pressed against the ground, trying to push herself up.
But he wasn’t done.
He grabbed her by the collar, dragging her to her feet
And then—he hesitated.
For just a second, he stopped and the crowd looked at sienna.
Because she was smiling.
A small smile on her bloody lips.
Razor frowned. “What the hell are you smiling for?”
Sienna let out a breathless chuckle. “You hit like a child.”
The crowd fell silent.
I even sat still, watching, waiting.
Razor glared hard at her.
“You little—” He raised his fist again, but this time, Sienna did something unexpected.
She spat.
Blood and saliva landed right on his cheek.
The people gasped.
Razor froze. His entire body went rigid, his face contorted with rage.
“You bitch—”
Before he could finish, she opened her mouth and spoke again, her voice quiet but loud enough for me to hear.
“Kill me if you want,” she murmured. “Beat me until there’s nothing left. But it won’t change the past.”
My breath hitched.
She turned her head slightly, and for the first time since this began, she met my gaze directly..
I clenched my fists.
Razor growled. He pulled his fist back for the final blow—
But my voice stopped him!.
“Enough!”
The room went still.
Razor paused, his fist still raised. “What?”
I stood slowly. “I said enough!.”
He hesitated for only a moment before dropping his arm and stepping back.
Sienna remained on the ground, her breathing very rough, her face bruised and bloodied. But she did not look away from me.
The crowd murmured in confusion, uncertain why I had stopped the fight.
Neither was I.
I exhaled sharply, turning away. “Take her back to her cell.”
A guard rushed forward, grabbing her roughly.
Sienna winced but did not resist.
And she was dragged away.
Why did I do that?
