Fated for Sure

I sit there staring at him, frozen as if time itself has stalled. Of course, it hasn’t—but it feels that way, as I look at the most breathtaking man I’ve ever laid eyes on. Too bad he’s my professor. Lottie is in her second year at MIT, getting a degree in bioengineering. She’s never been distracted by anyone on campus. Not once. Not until he walked into her classroom and her world tilted. The problem is obvious: he’s her professor, and he’s ten years older. The problem she didn’t expect: the electric tingles that shot up her arm when their hands brushed. The sudden, aching need to be near him. To breathe him in. The problem she never imagined: discovering he’s her fated mate. How will she handle a truth that could upend both their lives? Will she choose the path that protects them both—or will fate force her hand? ****** I stand there staring at him for a moment, trying to make sense of what just happened. In the two years Jordan and I have been friends, I’ve seen his dad more times than I can count. But this is the first time we’ve touched. And the second our hands meet, something sparks. Charlie has been Jordan's best friend for two years. He’s been in and out of Jordan’s house so often it feels like a second home. But it isn’t until one ordinary afternoon, two years after meeting Jordan’s dad, that everything changes. One accidental touch. One jolt of something he can’t explain. Charlie doesn’t know what’s happening to him yet. But he’s about to find out. And when he does, he’ll have to choose: step into the truth fate has been quietly weaving around him—or try to break free from a bond that may not let go.
