Chapter 38 No, I never touched her
The four of them were now in a restaurant, sitting at a table, each seemingly preoccupied with their own activities.
Camilla had been busy with her phone, Danieru was daydreaming, and Hatsu and Rachel were busy talking about the future of their marriage.
Danieru had chosen Golden Court as their lunch spot. This restaurant serves seafood and is quite famous for its Chinese cuisine.
Golden Court is located at No. 203 Macao SAR 3/F, Sands Macao Hotel, Macau, China. The place is quite comfortable, and the service is excellent.
“Camilla, are you okay after your miscarriage? You don't seem too sad,” Hatsu asked.
Danieru, hearing Hatsu's question, glanced at the man sharply; in truth, he was quite annoyed by his question.
“You,” Rachel whispered.
Danieru, who could hear her, took a deep breath. He looked at Camilla, who had placed her phone on the table, and then she smiled warmly.
‘This old woman is really unpredictable now.’ Danieru thought to himself again, he wanted to see how Camilla would answer Hatsu’s question.
“Why didn’t you answer right away? Were you really pregnant and had a miscarriage?” Hatsu asked again.
“Brother-in-law, I can’t just wallow in grief. Will crying and acting like a lunatic mean the child will be back in my womb?”
Danieru, hearing Camilla’s answer, stared in disbelief. Camilla… that woman… why was it so easy to answer a question that was usually so sensitive after someone had just miscarried, especially if Camilla was lying?
“Really? At least you’d look very pale. A miscarriage can cause a lot of blood loss, and they’d look very weak.” Hatsu cornered Camilla again.
“Brother-in-law, is everyone the same physique? I think everyone’s physique is different. As for paleness, is my makeup so thick today?”
Rachel almost laughed; she hadn’t expected Danieru to actually marry such a smooth-talking woman.
“You’re a smooth-talking woman,” Hatsu said again.
Danieru stared intently at Camilla. He was surprised by the way the woman spoke, and frankly, Camilla seemed so relaxed.
"Thank you, I'll always remember Sister-in-law's compliment."
Hatsu, once again receiving an answer from Camilla, felt even more irritated. He racked his brains again and found something interesting. He remembered this, and hopefully, Camilla would get a response to the answers that had left him defeated just seconds ago.
Danieru, curious about Hatsu's next move, chose to remain silent. He would wait, watch, and enjoy the rare sight before his eyes. It was rare for anyone to want to talk for long with Hatsu; he had always won the conversation.
Rachel, curious to see what her husband would say next, looked impatient, focusing her attention on Hatsu's hands, which had been tapping the table with a slow rhythm. What was her husband's plan this time? It seemed quite well-thought-out and would truly put Camilla in a corner.
"Since when have you known Danieru?" Hatsu asked.
Camilla's expression changed, unsure of how to respond. But... Camilla's memory suddenly raced back. She remembered her and Danieru's agreement about that love story.
"I've known Danieru for a long time. My Dad and mother-in-law were classmates back in school, and I dated Danieru three years ago." Camilla smiled, then continued, "During our wedding, my father said that Danieru and I were supposed to get married two years ago because of a family arrangement. Well... I also heard about this arrangement at the time, but because I didn't know who I was going to marry, and I was deeply in love with Danieru, I turned it down."
"Is that all?" Hatsu asked.
“Of course... when I was little, my father often told me stories about my mother-in-law. And I never thought I'd actually meet my father's school friend.”
“Wasn't Danieru just dating Rachel three years ago? Then... didn't you know that Danieru was having an affair behind your back? I wonder which of you or Rachel dated Danieru first?”
Camilla racked her brains again, while Danieru hoped Camilla would answer that question well.
Camilla smiled again. “It could have been Rachel first. Didn't Danieru give Rachel the necklace around my neck first? He clearly loved Rachel more than me.”
“And then?” Hatsu was curious about Camilla's next story.
“I tried to win Danieru over, and that was made easier by Brother-in-law's arranged marriage with Rachel. Luck always favors good women, do you understand, Brother-in-law?”
Rachel fell silent, swallowing once again her response, thinking that Danieru and Camilla were simply forced into a marriage. The woman didn't expect Camilla to answer everything Hatsu asked so well. In fact... she even trampled on her pride.
"Anything else you want to ask?" Camilla sat up straight, looking very enthusiastic about their conversation.
"How did you manage to make Danieru love you?" Hatsu asked.
Camilla grinned and then looked at Hatsu. "Was Rachel a virgin on her first night?"
Danieru's eyes widened, while Rachel and Hatsu were caught off guard by Camilla's words.
"Y-yes, I entered her first."
Camilla smiled again and then looked at Danieru. "Have you ever touched Rachel?"
"No, I never touched her."
Camilla was pleased to hear the answer. She then looked at Hatsu and Rachel.
"Why are you asking such a taboo subject in public?" Rachel felt embarrassed when Camilla asked.
"Danieru has been playing in bed with me a lot since we started dating. Is that enough of an answer?"
Hatsu shook her head. “A man who loves a woman won’t touch her; he’ll guard her.”
“Brother-in-law, I say it again. Everyone has their own ways. If a woman is supposed to be taken care of, why did Brother-in-law touch Rachel after marriage?”
Everyone was silent, and Danieru shook his head.
“What’s wrong? Danieru didn’t touch Rachel because he doesn’t love her. Danieru only loves me, my body, and everything about me.” Camilla looked completely satisfied now. She kept saying one sentence after another, and they were all right on target.
“Yes, I do love you. Are you satisfied, my sweet wife?” Danieru asked.
“Very… very… and extremely satisfied.”
Hatsu was irritated, and was about to argue with Camilla again, but Rachel stopped him. Just then, several servants arrived to serve food.
