Genesis's POV
What was this man going crazy about now?!
I panicked and grabbed Eli's sleeve, anxiously signing: \[Didn't you promise you wouldn't sleep with me now?\]
Seeing my anxious state, Eli laughed. He grabbed my hand and kissed it near his lips.
He teased, "Didn't I tell you not to sign too fast? I haven't fully learned it yet."
I stopped awkwardly. He supported himself on both sides of my body and leaned in to give me a kiss.
"Even if I can't understand, I can guess what you want to say.So you must find a way to pass within a week!"
He placed the stack of documents in my hands. Only then did I realize this was actually learner's permit study material.
I looked at Eli in shock.
Eli explained, "You'll be going to college soon. You can't keep taking the bus every day, right?"
I hadn't expected him to think so much about this. I pressed my lips together.
\[I can just find a place near the school then. It'll be convenient for getting to classes.\]
I wouldn't be going to San Aurelia at all. Eli's planning was useless.
Eli didn't notice my mood and gripped harder.
"I knew you were lazy. You don't even want to drive. Do you also want to live in the dorms when you go to college?" Eli scoffed.
I nodded honestly. When I got to Novien University of Technology, I would indeed consider living on campus.
Actually, I had wanted to learn to drive long ago and had tried studying these materials before.
But applying for a learner's permit required parental signatures, just like the previous class trip to the city. Christian had no time and couldn't be bothered with me, while Savannah simply wouldn't sign for me.
After trying once, I gave up.
So what if I learned all the material here within a week? In the end, I still couldn't take the test.
I dejectedly put the materials back on the desk, but saw Eli throw a paper at me.
It was actually a Learner's Permit Parental Consent! With Christian's signature on it!
I looked at Eli in disbelief. When did he get this?
Eli smiled. "You were worried about this, right?"
He seemed to understand everything and had guessed my past struggles and grievances.
In that instant, my heart was moved.
No matter what Eli's real purpose was, he had indeed solved a difficulty I had tried but failed to resolve.
He hadn't even told me about it beforehand.
"Tomorrow I'll have someone notarize it. Then you can take this to the test." Eli instructed.
Seeing I wasn't speaking, Eli frowned and gripped my shoulders.
He asked, "What are you thinking? Are you afraid the test will be too hard?"
I shook my head and looked at him seriously. "Why did you think of all this?"
Even if this was easy for him to do, he had noticed and thought of it. That was what made it extraordinary.
Perhaps not expecting me to be hung up on this question, Eli laughed helplessly.
He said carelessly, "Before, you received a car from the Sofia family as an apology, but sold it for money shortly after. I guessed you must have no way to learn driving. To figure this out, I specifically asked Susan, then solved this little trouble for you."
Watching his relaxed manner, my heart wavered for a moment.
Should I tell Eli about Christian's plan?
\[Thank you.\]
I thanked him seriously, my heart becoming even more conflicted and complicated.
If I told Eli about Christian's plan, with his abilities he could definitely counterattack Christian and maybe even make him suffer greatly.
But then Eli might really become the don of the Martinez family, and I'd have no hope of escape.
Did I want to stay by his side as a mistress who couldn't be acknowledged until he lost interest in me?
I didn't want that.
While I was silent, Eli suddenly hugged me.
He lowered his head and said, "These are just small things. How can you be so innocent? Getting so moved by little things? Good thing you're dating me. If it were another man, he probably would have tricked you into bed already."
So he thought my silence was because I was moved.
But hearing his words, all my emotion almost immediately dissipated completely.
I knew it! Eli couldn't stay serious for more than three seconds! His brain was full of sex and nothing else!
"You don't have cleaning duty tomorrow, right?" Eli looked at me with dangerously narrowed eyes. "Tomorrow morning wait for me to drive you to school. Don't even think about refusing me."
I was very unwilling but couldn't find a reasonable excuse to refuse him. I could only nod in agreement.
I was terrified that Maria or others would notice something. I worried so much I couldn't sleep well all night.
When I came downstairs the next morning, Susan was startled to see me.
"What happened to you? Why do you look so haggard?" Susan asked with concern.
I shook my head and signed to her: \[I just didn't sleep well.\]
Susan immediately showed an understanding expression and patted my shoulder with a smile. "It's because you were too excited, right?! Eli came to ask me yesterday why you don't learn to drive, then said he'd help you solve this problem. You can definitely learn to drive now?!"
I couldn't tell Susan the truth, so I went along with her words and gave a few evasive responses.
Unexpectedly, Eli came downstairs at this moment, looking somewhat smug.
It seemed he had heard our conversation.
"Let's go." Eli said to me.
Susan looked at me in surprise, not expecting Eli would drive me to school.
I had to make up an excuse to get by and followed Eli out the door.
After getting in the car, Eli suddenly reached out and pinched my face. "You're way too easily satisfied, aren't you? Just learning to drive and you were so excited you couldn't sleep all night?"
I pressed my lips together and said nothing. I couldn't tell him I was worried about him driving me to school, could I?
I carefully observed the activity around the villa. Fortunately, no one else was visible. No one should have noticed Eli driving me to school.
Finally reaching the school entrance, I immediately went to pull the car door but was stopped by Eli.
I looked back at him questioningly. He clicked his tongue irritably.
"Shouldn't you give me a goodbye kiss before getting out?" Eli glared at me dissatisfied.
I froze in place, not wanting to do anything here.
If classmates saw us, I would definitely go crazy.
Eli impatiently tapped the steering wheel. I had to steel myself and lean forward, placing a kiss on his cheek.
"You really are!" Eli was somewhat unsatisfied, but seeing I was indeed blushing furiously, he didn't make things harder for me. He just pinched my face hard.
"I'll let you off for now. Tonight when you come home to study driving knowledge with me, I'll collect everything back."
