Chapter 41 Learnning

Chapter 41 Learnning

Genesis's POV

Eli's gaze was too sharp. I suspected that if I dared to lie, he would make both Forth and me die right in front of him.

I shook my head repeatedly and took out my phone: \[He and I are just friends! He was really upset just now, so I was comforting him.\]

I wisely didn't tell him why Forth was upset. If Eli knew the details, Forth would really be dead.

Eli obviously didn't believe me and sneered. "Comforting? I didn't know friends needed hugs to comfort each other."

A mafia member like Eli who killed without hesitation wouldn't know normal ways to comfort people.

I blinked innocently, looking confused: \[Don't you give your friends hugs when comforting them at this age?\]

"Of course not." Eli showed a disgusted expression. "I only give them cars or women."

I knew it! In Eli's world, there was nothing that women couldn't fix. If not, just arrange two women.

Suppressing my disgust, I smiled dryly: \[We ordinary students do this. We don't have money for cars and women.\]

Eli pursed his lips and grabbed my chin, staring at me seriously. "From now on, you can't comfort male classmates like this. Just buy them a meal."

This damn rich mafia member. Buy them a meal? That's expensive!

For Eli, money was probably just a number that he didn't care about at all.

I lowered my eyes and nodded. Eli praised me happily, "What a good girl."

His voice was low and husky. His thumb slowly caressed my lips, and the air in the car suddenly became intimate.

His blue-green eyes showed undisguised desire. My heart jumped violently, and I struggled to get out of his arms.

Eli's perfectly muscled arm held me tight and gently bit my ear. "Little mute, why are you so shy?"

His tongue quickly slid across my earlobe. I shivered all over and got goosebumps.

Eli turned my head and slowly leaned closer.

Just as he was about to kiss my lips, someone suddenly knocked on the car window.

I jumped in fright and pushed Eli away hard, looking at him in terror.

Eli was extremely displeased.

He frowned and looked toward the car window with murderous intent.

Maria's voice came from outside the window. "Uncle Eli, open the door quickly!"

I looked toward the window in panic. Fortunately, the windows were tinted, but I didn't know if they were really private.

Eli clicked his tongue impatiently and unlocked the car.

Maria climbed into the back seat familiarly and said with a grin, "I'm going to tell Jordan that you're hiding in the car doing bad things!"

At that moment, my heart almost stopped beating!

Endless panic overwhelmed me. Maria must have seen everything! She saw me and Eli kissing!

If Jordan found out about me and Eli, he might kill me directly!

I clenched my hands into fists anxiously and even forgot to breathe.

"What are you doing here? How dare you sit in the passenger seat!" Maria seemed to notice my presence only now and scolded disgustedly, "Get out of here right now!"

She cursed harshly, but I breathed a long sigh of relief.

At least this proved she didn't see me and Eli kissing. I was alive again!

I didn't want to stay in this dangerous space with Eli anyway, so I took the opportunity to grab my backpack and get out of the car.

But Eli called out coldly, "Stop."

I sighed helplessly and stopped moving.

Eli glared at Maria with a dark face. "This is my car. When did you get to make decisions?"

Eli was already in a bad mood from being interrupted. Now Maria had hit his sore spot.

Maria sat there awkwardly. "But..."

"No buts." Eli said coldly. "I came specifically to pick up Genesis. Now get out!"

"Me?!" Maria screamed, pointing at herself. "She's just a bastard, and you're making me get out of your car for her!"

As the princess of the Martinez family, when had Maria ever suffered such humiliation?

She glared at me angrily, wanting to bite me to death.

I reached out and tugged Eli's sleeve, signaling him not to kick Maria out.

I didn't want Maria to hold a grudge against me. Besides, with her here, Eli wouldn't do inappropriate things to me in front of her.

Only then did Eli snort coldly. "You better behave. If I hear anything I shouldn't hear, you'll regret getting in this car."

Maria pouted, obviously dissatisfied with Eli's words, but didn't dare to argue.

So she directed all her anger at me, constantly rolling her eyes at me from the back seat.

I knew my days ahead would be difficult again. Maria would definitely complain to Savannah, and Savannah would punish me to make her beloved daughter happy, like the whipping last time.

It was all that crazy Eli's fault!

At dinner, the family was unusually complete today.

Jordan sat happily in the main seat. He was very pleased and praised Eli.

"You did well with the Nguyen family! That batch of goods stolen by Gage will arrive at the dock in two days. M Logistic will be managed by you from now on. You must personally supervise that shipment. It's goods ordered by the government from us. This is to support the battlefield in the southern region. Those terrorist organizations are causing trouble in the south."

I was somewhat surprised to see that Christian and Savannah didn't look pleased.

You know, M Logistic was the most profitable transportation company in the family. Once it was handed over to Eli, it meant he had gained more competitive power.

But Eli didn't care. He nodded while playing with his phone.

Jordan's face darkened. "Can't you eat properly?! If anything goes wrong with this shipment, get the hell out to South Africa!"

Ding.

My phone rang at an inappropriate time. I picked it up in panic. It was from Eli.

\[Come to my room tonight.\]

What was he planning to do in his room tonight? Eli was a playboy. Probably just kissing me wasn't enough to satisfy him anymore.

After dinner, I was still thinking about Eli's message, dawdling in the kitchen and refusing to leave.

Susan asked me to help deliver Christian's favorite black tea to his study.

I carried the tea upstairs but found that Christian's study door wasn't closed.

He and his subordinate Benjamin were complaining about what happened at dinner.

"Don Martinez is too biased. He actually gave the most profitable M Logistic to Eli! This is a huge threat to us!"

"Since Don Martinez said if Eli screws up, he'll send him to Africa, why don't we sabotage this shipment! Let him mess things up and get sent to South Africa!"
