Chapter 66: Man Sleepover

Rose’s POV

“We can’t leave until Brent gets back!” I told the others.

“I sent him a text, I think what we should do right now is give him some space,” Damien said.

“I don’t feel comfortable leaving yet, though. What if he doesn’t forgive me and he doesn’t want to come back?” I asked.

Colten interjected, “Rose, your family is worried about you. Your mom and dad has been worried sick with you gone, plus we’re about to have graduation.”

“He needs to be there, too.” I whined.

Garrett walked up to me and gave me a side hug, “don’t worry about him, if he wants to bitch and moan, that’s his own problem. You’re still perfect just the way you are.” He smiled down at me, making me feel a little better.

“I have a weird question for you,” Joel asked me.

“What’s up?”

“Why did you tell us that you’ve only ever had one ex boyfriend? I thought that I was your ex?” He said.

I grinned sheepishly, “actually Joel, I considered you a summer fling, Garrett was my only other boyfriend before I met all of you.”

Joel looked a bit disgruntled.

“I’m sorry,” I cooed at him. “But now you’re more than that, you’re my forever.” I whispered as I walked towards him. I cupped his face and softly rubbed my nose against his. “I love you so much.”

I heard a cough behind me and saw Garrett looking awkward.

“Sorry,” I said while blushing. I let go of Joel and went to sit down on the couch. I sighed, worried about Brent. Where are you Brent, and why aren’t you answering the phone? We all tried calling him but it went to voicemail.

Brent’s POV

“How about I make it my business?” This chick had the audacity to say. I scoffed, “look missy, I’m in a shitty mood, you need to leave me alone.” Instead of walking away she walked closer and pressed her breasts into my arm.

“I don’t want to.” She whispered before she reached up and licked my ear. I had to will my cock to stay soft. The last thing I needed was temptation while I’m pissed off.

“Look, my girlfriend will be pissed if she knew some slut was rubbing up against me. So leave me alone before I’m forced to be an asshole.” I grabbed her arm and shoved her off. She fell back into the water, laughing like a lunatic. What the hell is wrong with this chick?

“Brent, you know you want me.” She cooed at me.

“How the fuck do you know my name?” I said.

“I know everything about you, including your desires.” Damn it, I bet she’s a fucking siren.

I started to move out of the water as quickly as possible but she grabbed my arm and yanked me back with inhuman strength.

“You’re not going anywhere big boy. I like what I see and I’ve decided I’m going to have you.” She taunted. I tried to shove her off again, but had no luck. The bitch is strong as fuck.

“What can I do to make you let me go?” I asked.

She stopped and seemed to think it through.

“Give me the best sex of my life and I’ll let you go.”

Maximus’s POV

I decided to sneak around the apartment to try and figure out what Monica is up to. Something isn’t quite right, I just have a gut feeling. She was in a room she called her study and I tiptoed as close to it as possible without alerting her of my presence. She sounded like she was on the phone.

“Yes, I have him.”

…..

“No, he doesn’t know.”

…..

“As long as you keep bringing me ingredients for that tea then everything will be fine.”

……

“Ok mom, I’m going to go now, take care.”

When she sounded done on the phone I scurried off as quickly as possible and tried to act nonchalant.

After a few minutes she appeared in the doorway of the bedroom with a mug.

“I brought you your tea, baby. Be sure to drink it up.” She said.

I looked at the mug in her hand before taking it from her.

“I gotta take a piss first,” I told her. She scrunched her nose and nodded before leaving the room.

I let a breath out and grabbed the mug, taking it to the bathroom to drain it down the sink. I felt a sense of relief as soon as the mug was empty. Now I guess I just wait to see what happens.

Damien’s POV

Brent is still missing. It’s been a few hours and I have a feeling something is wrong.

“Where could he have gone?” I yelled out in anger. We finally get our mate back and he pulls this shit.

“We can’t keep waiting for him, we need to head back home soon so Rose can see her parents. Afterwards, let’s organize some teams to try and figure out what happened to him and Max. Max disappearing is a distressing but Brent also disappearing seems to be more than a coincidence.” Joel said.

“You think someone planned this?” Rose asked.

“Maybe. But we can’t be sure. Look for now let’s head back and maybe talk to a witch. They can probably do some voodoo tracking shit.” Joel said.

“I hope you’re right,” I tell him.

“What are you going to do, Garrett?” Rose asked him.

“I’m not sure. I’m tempted to go home since you’re safe but I feel like you aren’t quite out of the woods yet. I think I’ll rent a room and stay in town.” He answered.

“Ok, well let’s head back now.”

“I’m going with Sebastian, you guys head back without us.” Sophie said. Rose nodded and gave her a big hug before getting her shoes on to get ready to leave. I ordered us plane tickets and then we were all ready to head back.

Several hours later we arrived back in town and got to Rose’s parent’s house.

“Rosie-bear!” I heard her dad yell as soon as the door opened. He grabbed her and pulled her close to him.

“Daddy, I can’t breathe.” She chuckled.

“Rose! Don’t you dare scare us like that again! Your father and I were extremely worried about you and our grand babies. Did he hurt you anywhere?” Her mother said.

I noticed her eyes stayed glued to the hickeys on her neck and chest but Rose shook her head no.

“I’m alright now, mama.”

“Garrett! What a lovely surprise!” I heard her father bellow out. He grabbed the boy and pulled him into a tight embrace. “Are you staying in town?”

“Yes sir, I want to keep an eye on Rose so I’m planning on renting a hotel room.” Garrett answered.

“Nonsense! You’ll stay with us! After all, you’ve always been a trustworthy, excellent young man.” I swear her father stared each of us down while said those words.

“Daddy, we don’t have the room.” Rose said, clearly uncomfortable with the arrangement.

“We‘ll make room, after all it’s easier for him to keep you out of trouble if he’s always around.” Her dad winked. Ah shit. I knew her father was unhappy with us but now I’m convinced that he’s absolutely livid. I wonder what he would think if he knew his precious Garrett had special diet needs?

“Sir, I’ve never had the opportunity to talk to you about this before but I’m a vampire. I just thought you should know.” Garrett beat me to the punch.

Rose’s father seemed taken aback for a minute. When he recovered he simply said, “well I appreciate your honesty, that’s a quality I greatly appreciate. You’ll stay with us, no arguments. Being a vampire means you can protect her better than a normal human.” He grabbed Garrett by the shoulders and led him into the house.

“Why are there less of you?” Rose’s mother asked.

“Mama, two of my men are missing.” Rose told her. After her mother hmm’d she said, “well there were too many of them anyway, maybe this is meant to be.”

Rose looked at her mother incredulously while she walked away.

Rose turned to us and said, “I’m so sorry! They were okay with all of you beforehand, I don’t understand what’s different now!”

“Rose, baby, your parents are upset that you were kidnapped not just once, but twice. They blame us and frankly I understand. They’ll come around. I don’t like the idea of Garrett staying under the same roof as you, though. You know he’s still in love with you?” I told her.

She looked confused, “I think you’re wrong, he’s just worried about me after everything that’s happened. He knows that I’m with you guys and that he and I are over.”

“I wouldn’t count on that.” Colten muttered. Rose gave him a look.

“I’m exhausted, I’m ready to go in and shower before bed.” She told us. She kissed Colten, Joel and me before walking inside. I sighed. We finally get her back and now we have more things to worry about. I’m not comfortable going home to an empty house now.

“Man sleepover?” I asked the other two hopefully.

Colten cracked a half smile, “Sophie is staying with Sebastian so yes, man sleepover.” Joel chuckled and then we left to head to Colten’s house.
