Chapter 8: 8- The Red Light Kingdom´s Fairy

That beautiful rubi stone reminded me of my grandmother, I couldn't understand why it was associated with the visit to Ari's abandoned house, but Red Lights was not a well-known city in Ireland, it didn't even appear on the maps, and whenever my grandmother took me to visit her city, she said it was a Kingdom full of fairies and princess and that the address was a secret, I was just a child and always believed it was a fantastic story, but when I grew up, I found out that the address didn't actually exist. Suddenly, I go to a place in the city where there are objects that allude to the Kingdom of Red Lights, and I find myself meditative.

When I touch the ruby, I can hear the voice of that woman I had felt in the abandoned house again, suddenly an image came to my mind.

She squats down, wearing a long dress with white lace, barefoot on the floor and stares fixedly at one of her children, the youngest, who was looking at the stone hanging from her neck. The kid is about 10 years and his eyes are kind and his curly hair makes him to look adorable.

"The ruby is a very powerful stone" She tells with tender voice to the boy, staring at him, her eyes shining brightly and with great intensity " It is a stone with great magnetism, and it has various meanings related to emotions and health. Because of its characteristic red color, it is the stone of love, but it is also connected to the base chakra and the heart chakra, which is associated with stability and prosperity."

"The chakra?" the boy asked.

"Yes, this is chakra one" she said, pointing to the area below her belly button "this is chakra two", then she slid her hand over the boy's stomach, moved her hands up to his ribs and whispered "and this is chakra three" she says.

"And the fourth chakra is your heart" - she added sweetly and kissed the boy's forehead.

"As long as you have it, you will have luck and heal your heart " she told him and at that moment she took off the red and shiny stone and placed it around the boy's neck, who had a sweet face and curly, tousled hair that resulted in a mass of curls.

I close my eyes and I found myself into my room, "I had a vision" I think for myself. I blinked several times and stared at the ruby in my hands. Charlie meowed and I leaned towards him, stroking him gently. I served Charlie his food, poured myself cold milk, and also for him. I took some cereal and oatmeal and ate it while sitting on my bed, until I fell into a deep sleep. Shortly after midnight, a suffocating feeling woke me up. At first, I thought I had carelessly left something on in the kitchen. But as I walked towards the kitchen, only the light in the hallway remained on. At that moment, I turned it off and prepared to walk back to my room, the memory of everything that had happened came to me and I remembered that beautiful maiden I had found information about in a very strange newspaper, the Lady of the Lake. A feeling of peace overwhelmed me as I thought of her, so I went to bed, but seconds after turning off the light in the hallway, someone knocked on my apartment door.

I turned around with fear and walked hesitantly. It couldn´t be Ari, and neither Giannis. "Who else could it be?" I wonder walking to the door. Upon opening the door, a tall, handsome boy with disheveled hair and beard looked at me fiercely. I felt like I had seen him somewhere, but I couldn't remember where.

"Hello" he said dryly.

"What do you want?" I as, a little confused, but I have no fear. His eyes looks honest.

"I believe you have taken something that doesn't belong to you, an artifact from the Fairy of the Lake, and you must return it as soon as possible."

"Excuse me? Are you coming to my house to accuse me of being a thief?"

"It is of utmost importance that nothing in that house be moved or altered, as it is the house of the Queen of the Red Lights Lake, and in that house, there is a powerful portal that connects to the Kingdom of Red Lights. If you take something, the portal weakens."

"Red Lights?" I asked with a furrowed brow. It seemed like I had heard my grandmother talk about that town before. Why couldn't I remember anything?

"Who are you?" I wanted to know.

"My name is Jonathan, I am the guardian of the portal between the Kingdom of Red Lights and this world."

"And how did you get here?"

"I followed you. I've been waiting for you to turn off all the lights, to make sure everyone is asleep. Then I planned to enter your room and take the ruby diamond back."

"But you chaned your mind, and you knocked on my door."

"Yes, it was just a decoy, it's funny how humans think that the door is the only portal that exists to their homes."

"So you're the guardian of the Red Lights portal?"

"I am."

"Is the Ari's house, that she´s going to buy a portal?"

"Buy?"

"Yes, it will be turned into a Dance Academy."

"Impossible, you can't do that, you must stop her."

"But why?"

"Are there other portals?"

"There are, but that house holds a special connection to the only descendant of the Lady of the Lake, Gamal Del Lago, one day he will be the prince of Red Lights and he must return to that house." He explains.

"But what are you saying? That house is abandoned, Ari found the papers for the old mortgage."

"You must prevent your friend from acquiring that property. If possible, you should acquire it yourself, so that no one can buy it."

"Me?" I wonder, confused.

"Why me? " I asked with eyes filled with surprise. Suddenly Jonathan looked at me in a way that made my cheeks burn.

"Because you have the heart of a fairy."

"Your grandmother, Muse of Ra, was a fairy who lived in Red Lights a long time ago."

"My grandmother's name was Musa, but she wasn't a fairy, she was a baker. And she had a bakery in the Colony of Red Lights, on the outskirts of… - "A kingdom," I thought silently. I said passionately, remembering my grandmother, but suddenly I realized that I couldn't remember the exact address where she lived.

"I can't remember where she lived."

"Because she lived in the kingdom of Red Lights, no non-magical human can remember the address unless a magical being accompanies them. You always went with your grandmother, but you were too little for her to reveal the address of the Kingdom to you."

"How do you know?"

"Kallisto, I have been observing you your whole life. I used to visit you on dreams. I have been waiting for you. It is time for you to know where you come from and return to the Kingdom of Red Lights. You are a fairy, and you must protect the portal to Red Lights."
