Chapter 39: Mr. Richter Got Serious

But Bryan suddenly frowned.

He looked at the cards on the table.

Each one was bigger than the ones in his hand.

In other words, he suffered his first major defeat in life.

Elena actually won.

"Won...Elena won?" Robert leaned over the table to confirm. Elena really won!

When everyone heard Robert's voice, they also glanced over.

They were all stunned when they saw Elena's cards.

"This woman won?" And the crowd of audience members hadn't fully recovered yet.

"You lost." Elena stood up and said coldly.

Compared to everyone's surprise, she remained much calmer, as if this was all within her expectations.

Bryan glanced at the playing cards. He had many questions to ask Elena, but in the end, he just nodded.

"You can just give the villa to Robert directly." She no longer wanted any contact with Bryan.

"You played against me just to give Robert a gift?" Under the lights, Elena couldn't see Bryan's expression clearly.

Elena met Bryan's gaze and said, "Yes, I confronted you just to give Robert a villa."

She was too lazy to lie and felt it was unnecessary.

"She played cards with me, defeated me, and then gave the villa to another man?"

Bryan went through this logic in his mind several times and finally understood.

He furrowed his brows fiercely.

It was just a villa. He didn't care about that. What he truly cared about was the woman in front of him, Elena.

"If you wanted this villa, you could have just told me directly. But to give it to Robert..." Bryan suppressed his inner anger.

Robert thought to himself, "Mr. Richter, can't you treat me the same as others?"

"Mr. Richter, since you lost, you have to accept it. I didn't steal your villa. We had already agreed on that earlier." Elena casually played with her own hair, feeling a bit impatient.

She should be sleeping at this time.

Bryan was in a bad mood because Elena would never be so distant and cold towards him before, let alone call him Mr. Richter like she was now.

Could it be that the contrast before and after Elena's divorce made him uncomfortable? He thought, indeed, getting used to things was not a good thing.

"May as well admit defeat." Bryan reluctantly said these words.

The people around were shocked. They had never seen Mr. Richter be so obedient to one person before.

Could it be that it was because this woman was good-looking?

No, that's not it... Mr. Richter has never been one to judge based on appearances.

Bryan breathed a sigh of relief. Elena glanced at Robert and said, "Mr. Watson, we no longer owe each other. Goodbye."

Elena gracefully turned around and entered the elevator, heading upstairs.

Bryan wanted to ride the elevator with Elena, but it was too late. He could only hurriedly take the private elevator. Robert took the opportunity to squeeze in as well.

As soon as Robert entered, he felt the atmosphere in the cramped space was particularly tense.

He swallowed his saliva and said, "Bryan, I didn't know you were coming to the casino today..."

If he had known Bryan's plans, he definitely wouldn't have come here.

He could have had a date with Elena. How could Bryan ruin such a good opportunity?

"What does she mean by 'we no longer owe each other'?" Bryan asked darkly.

After their divorce, Robert had been getting closer to Elena, which made him very uncomfortable.

"I helped her with a small favor before," Robert answered somewhat dismissively.

Just as Bryan was about to ask further, the elevator doors suddenly opened. Robert was the first to rush out.

Bryan also hurriedly followed, afraid that Elena would leave.

Elena had just put on her helmet. The pink helmet sat on her small head, leaving only a pair of foxy eyes visible, making her look mischievous and attractive.

Bryan's blood boiled when he saw the Kawasaki.

He was also a motorbike enthusiast.

But... Elena was a girl. He was already amazed when she participated in the race last time. Could she also ride a motorcycle?

"Elena, did you ride a motorcycle here?" Bryan stepped forward, asking in surprise.

Elena replied impatiently, "Mr. Richter, don't have a finger in every pie."

Bryan was puzzled for half a second, not understanding her meaning.

"Goodbye, but I don't think we'll meet again."

Elena smiled and then leaned forward, driving the motorcycle away.

"What she means is 'it's none of your business'," Robert explained.

Bryan angrily said, "Are you trying to pick a fight?"

"I didn't say that," Robert muttered quietly.

Bryan's expression worsened. He squinted his eyes, staring at that fading figure in the distance.

He increasingly felt that he didn't understand Elena at all.

He thought he had married a virtuous wife.

But only after the divorce did he realize that this so-called virtuous wife was a racer. And she could easily win against him at the casino, and even... she was good at riding motorcycles.

Bryan squinted his eyes and suddenly had other thoughts.

He felt that maybe he should get to know Elena again.

"Bryan, where are you going?"

Robert became instantly unsettled when he saw Bryan about to leave.

"Back to the office." Bryan now had a plan...

He wanted to find some cooperation projects to establish a connection with Elena.

"Can you at least drop me off at home first?" Robert looked pitifully at Bryan. His car was broken.

Bryan scornfully said, "I can give you a villa, yet you still want me to drive you home? Robert, have you gone crazy?"

Robert had nothing to say.

Bryan turned around and left.

Bryan thought, "I can't believe he really abandoned me."

Robert could only stand still and wait for a taxi to pass by.

Night fell, and only Bryan's office was lit in the entire building.

Currently, the Winston Group only had cooperation with Bayton.

Bryan put down the mouse, rubbed his forehead, and then walked to the floor-to-ceiling window.

He lit a cigarette. The crimson fire flickered on his fingertips.

Bryan rarely smoked, but when he was irritated, he would still smoke one.

"Quinn, how about you give me the development rights of Bayton?"

"Bryan, have you gone crazy? I fought so hard for it, and I've already agreed to cooperate with the Winston Group, so that's not possible."

Even though Bryan was his good friend, Quinn still refused.

Bryan said, "Coaston from the Richter Group will be yours."

Coaston was the place where the wealthy often visited, with unlimited potential. Many people tried their best just to get a share of it, but the Richter Group was too wealthy, and no one could compete.

Although Bayton was valuable, it still couldn't compare to one in a million of Coaston!

Quinn was shocked and took a while to react.

"You... Are you telling the truth? Are you willing to give me Coaston?"

Bryan responded casually.

"Bryan, why are you doing this?"

Quinn was puzzled. Even people who were not in the business world knew the value of Coaston, let alone Bryan, who was a shrewd businessman!
