Chapter 9: 6.Destiny reveals them

A Jaguar is parked on the sidewalk in front of a window displaying elegant dresses, and as both the front and back doors open, on the right side feet in black sneakers and leggings plus a stylized gray T-shirt; on the left side black sandals, white leggings, and a shirt tied at the navel.

-Thank you for the ride Dad- says Soraia as she bends down to smile at her chauffeur's father today.

Adam didn't even look like the forty years of life he carries on him, because with his black hair and eyes -in fact, the same as his daughter's- and a face with strong angles I would say he would be thirty, and even more with tight dark jeans and a white shirt with a black blazer, pure charm.

-Soraia, honestly, what do you have to do in this city on Sunday?- Amy frowned as she crossed her arms and, with a beak, faced her friend, who smiled and nodded.

-Amy looked around as if she was looking for someone.

-Amy what?

-What?

Soraia stalled in front of Amy and demanded:

-Speak up.

Amy sighed defeated, for she knew that if there was one person who could rival her stubbornness, it was Soraia.

-Something tells me we shouldn't have left the house today.

-Amy, stop it, you're scaring me- Soraia didn't want to admit that there was a certain fear from the moment they left the house, but she ignored it and took Amy's hand and pulled her- come on, let's go for a walk- and that's what they did, although something was accompanying them.

Back in the forest, separated by trees and foliage, the pack of wolves kept coming towards the city and away from the others a lone black wolf, but no less fast, was running. They all ran to the same place, for they sensed danger; but as enemies they did not divide the territory, but protected it. And one of them would protect the woman they loved.

Soraia and Amy now talked and laughed as they walked along the sidewalk looking at the novelties in the shop windows.

Suddenly at a corner the already introduced Lucas and Lucian together with a nice group of people came around the corner.

-Wow, look at that, what a delight, - exclaimed Lucas as he gave Soraia and Amy a good evaluation from head to toe.

-You take the one on the right and I'll take the one on the left - proposed Lucian, licking his lips as he assessed his preference for the redhead. Even before they reached the girls they were already trembling, after all there was no one else besides them and their group to whom they could ask for help.

-Soraia, what are we going to do? -Amy asked, seeing those two guys, who probably didn't have good intentions towards them, getting closer and closer.

The wolves sniffed their enemies from afar, and the black wolf, smelling his wife next to them, quickened his pace with the other wolves following him, lifting dirt from the sandy ground and the trees became nothing more than a tunnel of blurs around them.

What moves them? Passion.

And if something bad happens to their loved one, what moves them is revenge. Then the snarling intensified.

Soraia and Amy tried to retreat, but the two were already close and stopped them by grabbing their wrists and abruptly turning them towards them.

-Why the rush?

-We haven't even introduced ourselves yet," Lucas smirked as he devoured Soraia with his eyes.

-Let go of me- Amy asked as she saw herself being abruptly grabbed by that guy who was already turning her wrist red.

-What's the matter, redhead, don't you like to be touched?

-Get your hand off me, - demanded Soraia as she pulled her wrist out of the hand of that idiot, who grinned madly in his rage.

Lucian laughed -my brother loves a fiery cat- and looked devilishly at Amy, who looked at Soraia -and me too- and showed her fangs growing in a not nice way. And of course her brother followed her example.

A black wolf followed by many others came charging at the vampires, who, caught unawares, were thrown into a shop window that not only triggered an alarm but also had its glass shattered to pieces by the sidewalk. The girls, due to the force of the wolves' impact, were also thrown to the ground with painful sighs.

-My God, I can't believe my eyes! - said Amy, open-mouthed and slumped on the ground as she stared in disbelief at the scene of real wolves fighting each other with huge fanged faces and black eyes with a red 'spot'.

Soraia, who was also on the ground, was speechless, after all these were no ordinary wolves, they were some kind of mutant wolves, in her opinion, judging by their unusual size and the strength of their blows.

The fight didn't take long to start, after all, the wolves were only there because their Alpha had decided to save those two humans, and as every wolf who preys loves to teach a good lesson to the notorious wolves, they didn't miss their chance.

The vampires came out unharmed but furious from inside the destroyed store promising revenge in their eyes.

The looks of fire and blood met and the fight was good.

Wolf howls and vampire snarling sounds mingled in the air as the girls already on their feet hugged each other trapped against a wall trying not to get hit by wolves that were thrown at them and/or vampires in the same situation only to return to attack them more angrily than before. The urge to run was enormous, but it was also exciting to see the unknown, now real, beings from nightmares or stories right there in front of them fighting.

The wolves had already ruined many vampires who in turn had already hanged and broken many bones of their enemies. They are even immortal but they are not made of iron so they can't be seriously hurt.

At the double windows of the nearby apartments and houses, the balconies were taken by curious people, terrified, but still curious about what their wide-eyed eyes saw.

The police station phone rang, and as Delegate Sergio was nearby, reading some reports, he answered it and laughed listening to what the person said.

-How is it?

Silence.

-Ma'am, this is a homicide police station, not a movie theater.

Silence again as the police chief rubbed his forehead nervously.

-"Ma'am, if you continue to insist on this madness, I'll have you arrested for importuning the police station," he assured as he hung up the phone in front of the poor woman and grumbled:

Huh, wolves and vampires fighting in front of a boutique. If I were a psychiatrist I'd have this woman committed, and he hadn't even finished his sentence when his cell phone rang in his pocket and when he picked it up he saw the picture of a girl's face on the screen and smiled.

The girl was his daughter Sofia, with a deconstructed haircut and light green eyes.

-What is it Sofia?

On the other end of the line Sofia watched the awestruck and wide-eyed scene from the corner of the window curtain going on downstairs.

-Father, there's a pack of giant wolves fighting a pack of vampires in front of the building.

Sergio snorted.

-Sofia, even you with this little story, do me a favor, daughter.

-Father, I'm not lying, I see them," he said, "and there are still two girls trapped in the middle of the fight.

Sergio sighed as he ran his hand over his face, tired from the many phone calls in the police station.

Sofia appealed - Dad, if you don't believe me, come and see for yourself.

- Okay Sofia, I'm coming to see you- she said as she hung up the cell phone, threw the papers on the desk and headed for the door, grabbing the keys to the truck and her guns on the way and calling for Investigator Malvina, who emerged in the hallway, overwhelmed by the deputy's shout for her.

-God, Deputy, what's going on?

-Come with me", he said, after all, if he told her, she would laugh at him just as he himself had laughed at the woman on the phone, and he would still go there to confirm the lie.

A very muscular wolf, even in animal form, like a cupboard managed to get its claws into the ribs of a vampire, who screamed in pain as he was sent straight into the wall where he fell to the floor writhing and groaning in pain. Amy watched the whole thing and was ecstatic to see that the vampire was none other than Marcus.

-Marcus- a barely audible whisper came from her lips as she put a hand to her mouth to keep from screaming for him and all that brutality.

-Soraia asked as she saw her friend's reaction and ran to meet Marcus who was squeezing his ribs as if he was putting the bones back into place.

The fight continued, most of the walls were cracked and / or destroyed to the heaps of bricks and dust accumulating on the sidewalk due to the violent impacts of the wolves and the vampires that wouldn't give up the fight, even with several shards of glass on the floor and /or falling from the higher windows due to the great force that some had to throw the other up.

When Soraia thought of following Amy a vampire with fangs dripping blood appeared in her path and approached her, who swallowed dryly and remained motionless.

-I haven't introduced myself yet," he said, "I'm Lucian and it will be a pleasure to suck you dry," and licked the blood dripping from his fangs and from his lips and chin.

A black wolf ripped the vampire's head off with its mouth, but looking back saw Soraia cornered by a vampire.

The fire intensified in her eyes to growl furiously and run to meet the wretch who wants what doesn't belong to him, and if it were up to this wolf, he would never have her. And when he was close to them he dared to return to human form and reveal himself as Augustus all flesh, muscles and a pair of shelter pants below the waist with a tank worthy of a grade 10.

Soraia lost track of her senses when this stranger appeared in front of her, who now became even stranger as he managed to transform himself from a big and powerful black wolf to a big and powerful man as well, only working on his good tanned, sweaty, naked skin.

Why are these things happening to me?

Before he could get an answer to his mental question, thick smoke came out of nowhere and began to cover the entire street.

From the windows where the murmurs were constant silence reigned along with the curiosity of what would come next.

The delegate and the investigator were stunned by the scene and the mysterious appearance of the smoke from nowhere.

-But where did that smoke come from? - asked Malvina as she covered her mouth, since the smell and taste were already infiltrating her lips through the truck's window.

-That's what we are going to find out,_ said Sergio as he stopped the car, cocked his pistol, and climbed out of the vehicle with Malvina in a defensive position and into the middle of the smoke.

Just as all that smoke had risen it had also begun to fade as it settled to the ground, but all they saw was a scene of destruction with piles of debris and concrete, chaos of glass scattered everywhere and many bloodstains on the sidewalk and even on the walls.

-Investigator call your people- Sergio ordered as he looked at those bloodstains on the wall and no injured people in sight. And how in God's name did those stains get up there?
