Chapter 10: Doubts

Her

I can't believe that brute ripped off my niqab and tore it all up! Well, I don't like niqabs anyway, it was Amir's shrew of a mother's imposition, but he didn't have that right! He even left here irritated, saying I'd sleep alone as if it were a punishment.

Idiotic, rude, brutish, incredibly hot werewolf!

It's at times like these that I realize I'm going crazy. I'm in a strange place, surrounded by even stranger beings, and something inside me feels immense pleasure in contradicting the handsome leader of the monsters.

I'm afraid of what all this means, but I'm confused by feeling strongly attracted to him, as I've never felt for any man. It's true that he's incredibly handsome, but wanting to tear his shirt and lick his chest can't be considered sanity, can it?

That Dófona came here pretending to be friendly and told me it's impossible to go back to my world because time passes differently in this universe.

One day here is months on Earth… Or something like this.

As much as I've seen so many absurd things, I still think this is a lie, and I'll find a way to escape from here. Dófona also told me that the Alpha rules everything and everyone and that everyone is afraid of him, but that I am his soulmate.

Who would believe that soulmates exist? Very romantic, but I wouldn't advise any girl to have such hope.

To escape from here, I'll have to act wisely and coldly. To begin with, since the Alpha thinks I'm his beloved promised by their pagan goddess, I'll have to take advantage of that. I'll make him trust me, show me the place, the entrances and exits, and at the first opportunity, I'll run away.

He returned the backpack I prepared for the escape, the contents are intact, rummaged through, but intact. The money is still here, at least these wolves didn't rob me.

I'll rest tonight and think of the best way to escape.

HIM

— She's a liar!

— Did you notice too? I found her way of lying charming.

— She's weak!

— Humans are naturally weak, their offspring take too long to do simple things, like walk and feed themselves!

— How can she be Luna, so weak and fragile? Any female who challenges her for the position of Luna will win effortlessly! I can't stand something like that.

— She is Luna, I know, you know!

— The rest of the pack won't know, it's not easy to feel her aura, especially inferior wolves. They will doubt us, even more so with your vision, which made everyone believe that I was truly cursed without a mate.

— I have the gift of foresight, how people interpret visions is not my responsibility...—She defended herself, and, deep down, I knew she was right. — The Gamma will reveal her to everyone.

— We don't have Gammas in our Pack! — Another indication that I wouldn't have a Gamma soul was the absence of Gammas among the members of my pack.

— Are you sure? She was in another world, no Gamma would feel her until she arrived in our universe. I wouldn't be surprised if someone develops the traits now that she's here.

— After maturity?

— Exactly! Being a Gamma is the choice of the great Goddess, it's not like being a Delta, Alpha, or Omega. If the Luna doesn't exist in this world, the Gamma doesn't exist either. If the Luna enters our world, she begins to exist, and the Gamma will reveal himself.

— Those are just assumptions.— I murmured hopelessly.

— It's logic, my Alpha, there's no moon without sky, nor Gamma without Luna.

Her optimism didn't infect me.

— She doesn't want me, there's no desire, she feels nothing...—  I finally said what led me to Dófona's tent.

— My Alpha, you will need to be patient. Humans do feel the connection, but not as quickly and strongly as wolves. Human love develops slowly, the connection between you is just the gateway. Try to reach her heart as humans do.

— How do human male attract a female?

— Hmm... I don't know either, perhaps I should ask a human?

— I'm not going to ask the other male about my female, who… — The third form's growl made the tent shake.

— I see… that was a terrible idea, if he were attractive to her, he wouldn't be an EX-husband…

— Inform me about what a husband is, Dófona, and do not lie this time!

— Alright, but control your nature. A husband is the male chosen to mate and start a family with the female.

My beast emanated the urge to hunt the human, wound him to death, mount and mark my female in front of him, before taking his life. His teeth tore my gums and I swallowed my own blood to control it.

— Did she choose him? A weak and despicable human?

— She is also human, my Alpha, your prejudice won't help you at all. What do you think about talking to Antero? He's a half-breed, his grandmother was human.

Antero was a young warrior in my army, very strong and dedicated. His mother joined our pack because she was the companion of one of the deltas, and they brought the whole family, including the old human who died shortly before Antero's Wolf matured.

— I'll think about it. For now, order the males to gather in the courtship alley, I'll go get my female, and we'll see if any of them reveal themselves to be the Gamma.

— Yes, sir, with pleasure, but wouldn't that be a task for the Beta?

— The Beta went to the Black Wolves' territory to deliver the papers for the supply exchange agreement for the winter.

— The Alpha of the Black Wolves is rapidly expanding his territory, leaving a trail of blood wherever he goes, the council fears that the Beast is losing himself due to the death of his

mate.

— The more land he has, the better for us. And if, by chance, he gets lost, I'll have a pretext to kill him and take everything he has conquered.

— He is our ally… — She smiled cunningly.

— Yes, for now, but taking the life of a lost wolf is an act of mercy for his people.

— Why do I feel that it wouldn't be out of mercy that you would kill him?

— Because you're a busybody… and you know me more than I'm comfortable with.

Dófona smiled, a true smile, and accompanied me out of her tent. My wolf manifested, licking his teeth in anticipation of meeting our female.
