77. Old Garden
Alice suddenly stopped walking when she saw the man standing in the garden of their house. She blinked to make sure she wasn't dreaming. His hair is long and his clothes are dirty. Even so, it is undeniable that John was that man. She cried and smiled when she saw the scarf he was wearing, he gave it to him and she made it personally. When she recovered from the shock, she stepped closer to the man. Her walk became a trend.
"John!"
John was confronted with the source of the voice he heard. To his surprise, he was confronted by a woman he did not know. He was stunned because of the tightness of her hug despite his being dirty. He looked at the woman's face in amazement. That was familiar to him. She stroked his cheek and he frowned.
"You are John... Thank you and you are alive."
Alice looked at John's face for a long time and she saw the astonishment on his face. An awkward smile flashed across her lips.
"I’m Alice... I was the crying child then that you always put on your back when I get tired of playing. Do you still know me?"
Alice let go of the hug. She also suddenly realized that what she had done was embarrassing. John stared intently at Alice's face who was now grown up to a beautiful lady. Both of its cheeks are red as it bends. A frugal smile appeared on his lips then he touched his right hand on its head and ruffled the girl's hair. Alice suddenly looked up.
"Y-You didn't forget me?" she wondered.
John shook his head and smiled. Then, he hugged Alice. He could not believe that he had been gone for so long. Alice looked at his face again...
"Is there a problem? Are you mad at me? You were quiet before..."
John hesitated to look at Alice. He gently grabbed the girl's hand and guided it to his neck where the scarf was covered. Alice swallowed and she stared at the scarf. Soon, her hand moved spontaneously. She slowly removed the scarf and the large scar on his neck was exposed to her. She covered her mouth and cried staring at John's face.
"Y-You can't speak anymore because..." Alice couldn't continue what she was going to say.
None of her own caressed the scar on the man's neck. John nodded softly and blinked as he held her hand holding his neck. Alice smiled though, she was crying.
"That's okay. The important thing is, you are alive and you are here."
John wiped her tears from the corner of her eyes. It signed sorry...
"You don't have to be sorry. You're not at fault. I'm glad to see you again."
John signed 'Me too, happy'.
Meanwhile... Clemen shook his head as he looked at Alice and John. He looked at Grimm who was also closely observing what he was looking at.
"The sweet of the scene, right?" he suddenly spoke.
Grimm laughed softly as he looked at his companion. It is already dressed. His older brother Constantine lent it to him.
"Yes. At least, there was a happy ending to what we did."
"You're right. And thank you because old man will no longer be rude. It's been a while since I last saw him smile like that."
Grimm looked at Edward and he saw a smile of pleasure on his face as he played with the dog Knight. The vitality of its aura despite the damage suffered by its body due to the use of strong power.
"Are you all right? Have the bruises and any marks of fighting on your body gone?" Clemen suddenly asked.
Grimm looked at his arms. Little by little his scars and bruises disappeared there.
"I'm fine. It won't be noticeable."
"In that case, come on. I'll take you home."
"Okay!"
But before the two left, they said goodbye to their comrades.
When Grimm got home, he immediately went straight to his room and fell down on the bed. He hugged the pillow and after that, he laughed! He looked at his fists.
"Finally, I manage to hit a blow at Lucifer. He taste my fist! I will train better so that I can fight him and the others next time." he smiled.
He hugged the pillow again. Even though he was involved in a fierce battle, he did not feel the pain of the body. He may be used to being beaten or he may be just too happy because somehow he met one of the Seven Prince of Hell. He hugged the pillow again but he looked up when he heard a soft knock in his room. Then, the door opened and his older brother Andrey entered.
"Hello, Grimm..." he greeted with a smile.
He smiled back at it.
"Oh Brother, what about us?"
Andrey sat on the side of Grimm's bed.
"Will you and Father Clemen have another walk tomorrow?" he asked.
"Hmm... Nothing. Why?"
Andrey took a deep breath before speaking. He admits that Grimm's association with Father Clemen helped a lot because it prevented him from getting into a fight. Even its Kuwarog boys are no longer at loggerheads.
"Nothing. It's been a long time since we last talked solo. Where have you been with father Clemen?" He asked.
An awkward smile flashed on Grimm's lips.
"A-Ahm Kuya... We just helped an old man."
He swallowed as he remembered Rusty's Grandfather. He must have been devastated by it when he found out what he was saying.
Meanwhile... Annoyed, Lucifer wiped the blood from the side of his lip. He could not believe that he was able to be hit by the boy who longed for and oppressed them all before... He heard a faint laugh and he looked at the source then. He clenched his right fist. He was even more annoyed when he saw Belphegor because he remembered his face and the appearance of his son Grimm.
"Looks like you were beaten?" its language is still laughing.
A mischievous smile appeared from Lucifer's lips. He calmly looked at Belphegor's teasing face.
"I was not harmed, I was just hit by luck." he answered arrogantly.
Belphegor looked at Lucifer earnestly and folded his arms. He looked it up and down. He grinned foolishly.
"Ah, you just hit by luck. And who is the one who hits you well?"
Lucifer raised an eyebrow. He knew that this rude Belphegor was insulting him.
"Grimm was the one who hit me, your good son. Then, the naughty Victor and another dumb demon accompanied him! How dare them three times a day! Hopefully, you will be hit soon..."
Belphegor shook his head and laughed softly. He rubbed his forehead. He did not know if he would be happy or even more annoyed with what he found out. Grimm was able to keep up with them, Seven Prince of Hell. It has come a long way compared to before.
"Me, next? Thank you for your emotional best wishes... But, you are wrong. That thing will not happen because I will not be stupid like you. How dare you three times a day."
Lucifer laughed softly.
"Don't be silly? If so, why can't you discipline Gaunt and most of all bring your rebellious son Grimm home? Hmm... You are not a fool but you are worthless!"
"Wooh, the pain of an insult then. Thank you, Lucifer."
"You're welcome."
"Can you try to ask Grimm for ice? So that, you have something to apply to your bruises on your face. Ha ha ha ha ha ha!"
To Lucifer's annoyance he released a ball of fire in his right hand and quickly threw it at Belphegor. And as he expected it was easy for the latter to avoid.
"How dare you three times a day!" he said angrily.
"Same to you!"
Belphegor laughed and left. So far, he has not had much plans for Grimm. The truth of the matter is that he quite enjoys what this mess is doing. Gaunt secretly watched. He grabbed his head and smiled.
"Hmm... You're great, Grimm."
Because of what was happening, something finally entered his brain. He has already decided.
The next day... Victor hurried home to Orphen's house. He just came from Grimm because he joined them in delivering pandesal breads. They do not go to school today. When he returned home, he found his older brother John cooking breakfast. The smell of sauted corn-beef. Plus the coffee that being brewed.
"Timing, these pandesal I brought are still warm. I came from Grimm. Good morning!"
John just waved at him in response. He put down the bag he was carrying and set the table. Moments later, Orphen entered the kitchen. It is sweaty and there are still traces of ice on the arms and hands. It obviously practiced outside. It shook the ice in his arm and hand. He wiped away the sweat and sat down at the table. When John finished cooking, he served and they started eating breakfast.
"After you clean the house, you are free to do what you plan to do today." Orphen suddenly said while eating.
Orphen drinks coffee. While Victor chewed on what he ate before speaking.
"I will train there in the woods all day. I still need to be strong." he replied.
"Good then. You can also take home wild cherries if you can find anything."
"Okay."
When they finished breakfast, Victor immediately began his duty at home. From washing their dishes, cleaning to laundry. In a few moments he was finished with his task. He hurried out of the house. In the back he passed because that was where he went to the forest. He saw the siblings at the ceramics workshop. John sketches while leaning against the wall of the house and sitting on the bench. Orphen is currently working on ceramics.
"I'm leaving!" he said goodbye.
He quickly ran into the forest. When he got to the center, he started his training. He pulled out several knives on his body and quickly threw it at all the branches of the tree opposite him. It took him a few seconds. When he finished, he looked at each branch of the tree to see if he had missed anything. He breathed a sigh of relief when he saw nothing. All he had to do was move faster. He continued to practice. Even lifting large chunks of rock he does because he also needs to strengthen the physical strength of his body. When he got tired, he decided to rest. He went to his favourite spot in the jungle. The old garden. He smiled when he saw so many roses blooming all around. He had just discovered the old garden. It was full of pink roses wrapped around the cut walls. There are also purple roses, whites and other varieties. Beautiful roses were scattered in that area.
He goes straight to a ruined hut surrounded by red roses mixed with orange petals. He sat down and wiped the sweat off his face. He took out the food that Grimm had given him. Yema(custard) cupcakes. He smiled as he remembered his friend. Be it, definitely invigorating now. He opened the box with cupcakes and he was about to get food when he suddenly felt a presence. He moved quickly and threw a knife in the direction of the creature that was watching him. He stood up.
"Get out of there where you are hiding whoever you are... Don't wait for me to come because you will surely regret it."
From the thick bush of roses on the wall, he saw a shadow.
