“Why are you so red?” Mom asked, confused when she glances at me when I plop down on the chair nearly out of breath.
I tried to fill my lungs with as much air as possible as my heart skipped like I had run a mile. An image of Kade’s cock flashes in my mind and I choked on my saliva.
Turning the shade of red because of the lack of oxygen, mom passes me a glass of water that had been beside her plate. Jesus, I was dying.
Coughing like an old hag, mom finally saw that the water wasn’t exactly helping and comes over to me to pat me on my back. Jesus, she was trying to kill me.
“What’s with you, Mia?” She asked softly while continuing her brutal slaps that I swore pushed my spine forward if it were possible.
“I’m fine, I’m fine,” I reassured, coughing a little but needing her to stop before she left me paralyzed.
She pulls her hand away. “You don’t look fine. You’re as red as a tomato Mia.”
How can I possibly tell mom that I just saw Kade’s very huge erected cock? The thing was bigger than my wrist and honestly, now I understood why he seemed so cocky. He had a lot to back it up.
“Hey mom, why do people say as red as a tomato or a truck? Strawberries are red too!” Austin asked in curiosity.
Sidetracked by Austin’s question mom finally leaves me alone to answer him. Dad comes out of the kitchen with a bowl in his hand and looks between mom, Austin and me with confusion. “Okay what did I miss?”
“Mia came running down the stairs like her life depended on it.” Mom answered, looking at me with that look that said, spill before I don’t pass the mash potatoes to you.
She wouldn’t dare? Would she?
And as red as a strawberry.” Austin snorts and dad lifted a brow in question.
Ripping his eyes away from mom and Austin he settled then on me, unfortunately. Squirming under his gaze I move my eyes off him. I could never keep a secret or lie to dad. You could say I was a daddy’s girl.
“What happened twizzler?” Dad asked and I winced at the name he refused to stop calling me. Having an obsession with Twizzlers as a kid really doomed me to be named that to this day.
Of all things! Twizzler!
“Did Kade do or say something to you?” The protective dad voice was on.
Kade did do something, flashed me his male parts that have permanently taken space in my brain. I should’ve knocked. Or yelled. Or stayed my ass down here.
“Nope, I murmured nonchalantly while shaking my head slightly. “Just didn’t answer me like usual.” I shrugged, avoiding his gaze before he picked up my lies. It didn’t feel good lying to him or mom but it would be best if I keep the fact that I saw Kade’s cock to myself.
“Then why did you rush down here like a serial killer was chasing you?” Mom asked, walking over to her chair and plopping down.

“Oh, that would’ve been so cool!” Austin yelled and mom scowled at him.
“Austin!”
He shrugged. “What? It would be.”

“Uhm I saw a spider. Yep, a very huge and intimidating spider. You know how I hate spiders.” I lied effortlessly and I inwardly pat myself on the back.
Was it black and scary looking?” Austin asked, eyes wide in interest.
Awkwardly looking g at him, I answered. “Uh yes?”
“Then that’s Mark. I thought I kept him in my room but he must’ve escaped.” He sighs.
I froze. Austin has a spider in his room?
“Austin why do you have a spider as a pet?” Dad sighed coming over to place the bowl of macaroni and cheese down on the table. Sitting down on his chair, dad looks at Austin expectantly.
“It’s for Mia if she treats me bad.” He shrugs and starts helping himself to the macaroni and cheese.
I narrowed my eyes on him, glaring at his little evil face. “You little-
“Mia.” Mom warned. But it wasn’t that which made me stop mid-sentence, it was the incoming heavy footsteps coming down the steps slowly. Almost reluctantly.
I lift my gaze from Austin and looked directly behind him. Bad idea. My eyes clash with Kade’s and the image of his cock pops back into my head. The saliva I thought I swallowed properly went into the wrong hole and I began coughing like an old hag again.
“Drink some water hunny.” Mom urges and even though my hands grasp the glass and gulp down the water like my life depended on it, my eyes stayed glued on Kade. At least he was fully dressed now.
Turning to stare at what captured my gaze, mom’s mouth opened in an ‘o’ whilst dad waved Kade in. “Come join us for
dinner Kade.”
Kade mumbled nothing, only left his piercing gaze on me the entire time as he plops down on the chair opposite mine. Setting down the half empty glass, I pressed my lips together and tore my eyes away from him.
Jesus where is the fan when you need one?
“You must be starving since you were cooked up in your room for hours.” Dad tried to make conversation.
My fingers around the glass tightened when Kade finally spoke. His voice smooth yet rough and did many things to me I wish not to say out loud. “Yeah, I’m starving.” I could feel his gaze on me the entire time he said those words.
And even though they were completely innocent, the suggestion behind them made me clench my thighs together.
“About the room, I hope you made it into what you want? I know it was a little feminine so I hope you add a little touch of Kade in there.” Mom laughed lightly, turning her attention to Kade,
This was ridiculous. Me avoiding the guy like he was some kind of God or devil I had no privilege of staring at, This was my home. If anyone should be uncomfortable it should be him.
Drawing some calming air, I finally forced my eyes back to him. He was already staring at me.

The guy didn’t have a spec of emotion on his face. He was like a robot. A cold robot with a very huge-
Okay, my thoughts have strolled into another path again.
I gasp lowly when I suddenly felt his knees touching mine. His legs were so long.

My grip on the glass was almost lethal when he nudged my knees apart a little so his knee could be between them.
What the hell was he doing? And why was my heart racing so swiftly?
Realizing Kade wasn’t going to answer, mom decided to shoot him with another question.” So you’re seventeen right?”
Mom’s question seems to have angered Kade or at least bring him back down to reality since he drew his knee from mine like I had just touched him with fire.
Tam. Trying to get rid of me so soon?” He said dryly, finally tearing his gaze away from mine to pin mom with a cold stare.
Tm-thi-s isn’t-” Mom stopped when she realized that whatever she’d say next wouldn’t make him believe her. Kade seemed to have already made up his mind about us.
