Mia’s pov♡

“What?” I asked self consciously as Colby refused to remove his eyes off my face. At first I thought he was just lost in his own head and must’ve been daydreaming but it’s been nearly eight minutes!
“Who did it?” He asked, leaning forward on the table and looked around for prying eyes and ears.
My face pinch in confusion as I bit into the sandwich. Thankfully this time it was ham. “Did what?” I asked in puzzlement.
I took another bite of the sandwich, hungry. I knew it wasn’t the sandwich I was hungry for but the blue
eyed boy that lived with me. But a sandwich shall do.
He leans even closer, whispering very lowly. “Who kissed you?”
I choked on the bread, my hand going to my throat as I wheezed. Colby looks alarmed and scared before
rushing over to me and pats me on the back.
A few more hacks and the bread manages to remove from my lungs entirely.
I felt relief wash over me knowing I wasn’t going to die because of bread in my lungs. I would’ve surely made headline news though.
“Shit Mia, are you okay?” He asked, looking at me in panic and worry.
I nodded to reassure him as I draw in a lung full of fresh air. I couldn’t believe I nearly died this way. How humiliating.
Colby stayed patting my back for a few more seconds before leaving my side to sit back down on his chair. After I was fully recovered, he stared at me with a brow raised.
I squirmed, looking at him nervously. “Geez Colb, stop staring at me,” I murmured, feeling uncomfortable by his scrutiny.
“You’ve been all flushed ever since. And your lips are slightly swollen. It was way worse a while ago. And way redder. But it’s still visible. ” Colby crosses his arms over his chest and leans back in his seat to assess me.” Signs of getting kissed. hmmm.”
I looked away from him nervously and fixed my troubled gaze on his plate of mashed potatoes and some brown sauce that looked like diarrhea.
“That must be getting cold now. Eat up. You know you don’t like cold food.”
Seriously why did I have to have such an observant friend?
“I’ll manage to survive. Now come on Mia, spill.” He hisses.

I remain quiet, glaring at his mashed potatoes. After a few seconds of silence, he decided to break it with his own indication. “Wait was it Brian!? Oh my God, girl I didn’t know you had it in you-
I snapped my head up glaring at him while I cut him off. “It wasn’t Brian!” I seethed lowly, hoping everyone was minding their own business. Seriously I didn’t want to be another talk of the school.
Rumors were nasty and I didn’t want to have my name associated with Brian’s at all.
Colby blanched but still looks very excited to mask this mystery person who has kissed me. If only he
knew it was Kade.
“Then who is it?!” He didn’t try to mask his excitement to finally unmask the boy who kissed me.
“It was no one.” I shrugged, while acting as nonchalant as I can. I hope those few drama classes helped.
Seriously I need it right now.
Н
Really? Then explain your swollen lips? ” He looks at me like I was lying, which I was but wouldn’t admit
to it. I can’t exactly tell Colby that I was making out with Kade in the janitor’s closet.
Firstly he’d tell me what the fuck.
Secondly, he’d yell at me what the fuck.
Thirdly he’ll scream at me what the flying fuck.
You see where I am going with this?
No? Okay, I’ll stop. That’s enough of what the fucks in one chapter. Let’s resume….. (5
“That’s what happens when you gnaw at your lips a lot Colby. There’s nothing more to it. You’re reading into this too much. No one kissed me.” I huffed, needing the conversation to change.
Colby looks at me for a few silent moments then gives me a single nod. I sighed in relief thinking he’d finally drop the questions, until he opened his mouth again.
Seriously can’t a girl get some peace while trying to eat her ham sandwich?
“Okay so if no one kissed you. Then did you kiss someone?”
Seriously was he some kind of detective undercover?
“For the love of God Colby, drop it! No one kissed anyone okay? My lips are still virginized.” I lied smoothly. Damn I’m getting good at this. I should seriously try to take this as a profession.
Colby pouts, arms untangling from being crossed as he finally picks up his fork.” Boo. You’re no fun.” He harshly takes a forkful of that mashed potatoes and shoved it into his mouth. I rolled my eyes.
I knew he was still suspicious but wouldn’t try to ask anymore seeing as I was sure my face screamed my frustration and irritation with the subject.

Shaking my head at his dramatic attitude, I continued to eat my sandwich until someone plops on the vacant chair beside me. I stiffen, feeling the heat of the person near me as they come impossibly closer.
I turn around and noticed it was a boy in the same grade as me. Kevin was his name I presume. Or was it
Kelvin? Oh well, tomato, potato.
Readers I know that’s not the correct phrase. 5
Anyway on to the story….
His brown chocolate eyes gleamed with eagerness as he looks at my face. I lift a brow, completely confused as to why he was here. ” Mia right? I’ve been meaning to talk to you since morning but saw you had a whole cue of eager males waiting for your attention.” He says, smiling while lifting a hand to ruffle his cocoa curls.
I looked at him blankly. Laughing slightly he continues.” So I figured I’d have to be patient and wait until I can get a chance with you…..” He trailed nervously when my blank expression didn’t once shift.
He reaches out his hand, grinning widely as if not embarrassed by my unimpressed stare. “I’m Kevin by the way. I’m in your Bio class. I sit at the back-
“Move.”
I froze, my heart hammering in my chest as his voice flutters above me. I snapped my head up and bit the inside of my bottom lip as I watch Kade glare nastily at Kelvin, I mean Kevin.
Kerwin, shit I mean Kevin who heard the unpleased angry voice of Kade, turns his head around almost reluctantly. He gulps visibly, his features twitching with fear. “Ugh sorry- 2
Kade’s grip around his tray is almost brutal as he stared down at the poor boy.” Move you’re in my seat.” He seethed faintly. He had already managed to grab a couple of the students around attention.
So he was planning to sit with us? Since when?
Kevin gulps, looks over at me nervously before managing to crack a small smile. “I guess I’ll see you later, or some other time?”
I don’t answer him because I knew we wouldn’t be having another conversation. Not that I was trying to converse with him. I knew why he was here. It’s not like he had hidden it well. Stupid boys and their desperation to get laid.
“Not going to happen. Now move before I move you myself,” There’s a hint of impatience in Kade’s voice as the words rolled off his tongue like acid.
Kevin seemed to finally grasp the situation he was in and quickly rise to his feet. He scurried away from us like his ass had a bad itch he couldn’t wait to tackle.

Kade sits down in the same seat Kevin was in seconds ago. His big body brushes against mine and I stifle a small little gasp. When he’s settled on the seat, his big thigh brushes against mine. My lower regions clench and I quickly slam my thighs together as I try to lessen on the throbbing.
“Woah that was intense. Big brother mode fully activated. “Of course, Colby had to spoil it and remind me that a relationship with Kade wouldn’t be a good idea. And would be considered forbidden in the view of everyone else even though we were not blood–related.
“Shut it,” Kade grumbles, glaring at a wide eyed Colby who lifted his hands in surrender.
“Seriously what’s with you two today?” Colby murmurs softly as he resumes eating his lunch.
Feeling a pair of eyes on the side of my face, I shyly take a peek at Kade. Blue. Our eyes connected briefly before I snap my head away as my face flamed with heat at the remembrance of what happened in that janitor’s closet.
