In a Presidential Suite in Golden Sands Hotel, Elsa Miller looked at the man sleeping in front of her, feeling a bit at a loss for a moment. The soreness in her body, the scratches on her neck and chest, the scattered clothes on the floor, and a few large condoms all indicated that she had connected with the man in this way. Elsa endured the discomfort, stepped over the man, and went barefoot to the bathroom. After quickly washing up, she changed into clothes and even lit a cigarette.
Amidst the smoke, she silently watched the man sleeping. He was Luke Taylor, 26 years old, the eldest grandson of the Taylor family, the largest domestic conglomerate. Additionally, he had a face that could rival top male celebrities. Luke was handsome, noble, aloof, and unattainable. In Maplewood City and even nationwide, Luke symbolized power and status.
How could she not know that provoking him would have serious consequences? But she couldn't just stand by and watch him marry Karen Miller next month. She couldn't let Karen and her mother, Phyllis, have their way. As she smoked her third cigarette, Luke woke up.
He looked at Elsa, who was in a red dress and enveloped in smoke with her long hair falling on her shoulder. He was momentarily distracted. "How much do you want?" He got up, took out a checkbook and pen from his bag, and asked her to name her price. He still remembered the wonderful experience of last night, and the bloodstains on the bed indicated everything. As long as she didn't go too far, he could give her whatever she wanted.
In the dozen minutes she waited for him to wake up, Elsa thought of hundreds of ways to approach him. She met his sharp eyes but only stubbed the cigarette in the ashtray and put on a bright smile. “I don't want money. I want you to marry me.”
"What?" Luke seemed to have heard the biggest joke, chuckled sarcastically, and said, "Do you think you are a noble lady? You're just a bit more expensive than the prostitutes outside." Last night, this woman disguised herself as a waitress, brought him water, helped him take off his coat and hung it in the closet, and then undressed in front of him. Generally, he would not let his lust take over easily, but last night, he lost his self-control in the moment she pounced on him.
He had to admit that Elsa had an attractive face, and her appearance fit his aesthetic range. But her smile was fake, and he detested such scheming women. Elsa knew who he was and clearly planned to take advantage of him while he was drunk.
If it were an ordinary woman, she would have been embarrassed by Luke's humiliating words. But Elsa didn't care. Her smile seemed plastered on her face. She was neither sad nor embarrassed because ever since her mother was driven to death by Phyllis and Karen, she had lost all emotions.
She shook her phone in her hand. "I have a video of last night's events. I was indeed more proactive at the beginning, but you forced me several times later. Releasing the video might not bode well for Taylo Incorporation's stock price."
"I’m afraid only when you are alive can you release the video." Although Luke was a businessman, he had been involved with the criminal underworld from a young age. Observing Elsa's unwavering resolve, he casually discarded the checkbook. He then grabbed the pack of cigarettes from her, lit a cigarette up, and said, "Remember, ending your life is as easy as squashing an ant."
He despised being intimidated, yet Elsa had the audacity to threaten him. It seemed to him that Elsa might not value her life.
