Chapter 9: Better II
I threw the petals into the flower making Arina scream at me " What are you doing! Do you know how valuable that-" the fire that suddenly burned brighter and grew larger than my height made her and the others step back. I quickly took one bucket of water from Olivia's hands and poured it into the pot and my arms got burnt because they had to go through the fire in order to pour the water in the pot. I was glad that the bucket didn't get burnt.
The water that filled the entire pot was shrinking by the second but I can't do anything until the fire changes. ' Finally' the' fire returned to its previous size but it was now blue in colour making the others step back again. The fire was no longer harming me, it was only warm but to those that arent a witch or part witch it is very dangerous. " She? She's doing it... She is actually doing it" whispered Arina behind me but I ignored her, I don't have a lot of time.
I can't just throw some ingredients and that's it. Sometimes it's one drop or ten, five petals or half a petal, some you have to squeeze out like a lemon. I quickly made the healing potion while being careful with the reaction when a magical ingredient is added. I was surprised that I was able to pull it off after two and thirty minutes. The potion was light green and swirling on its own. It looked better than the ones in the cupboards. Since the blue fire doesn't burn me it's safe to assume I won't get burnt when touching the pot.
I took the bucket that previously had water and placed it near the pot, I touched the pot without fearing that it would burn me and I was lucky that it didn't. When lowering the pot towards the bucket I was able to pour the potion in it and even though the water shrunk making the potion fill half of the bucket. I was still satisfied and so time for round two.
The amount needed for a healing potion may be different for a different kind of potion that needs the same ingredients. The potion I'm making right now removes poison in your body, I'll be using the same four ingredients I used to make the healing potion and the two I took from the glass cupboards. The fire was slowly getting small so I moved quickly while being careful to not make a mistake. Maybe I should've started with this one since it's harder to make and I have no time but no point in thinking that way. I miraculously succeeded and the fire died afterwards. After pouring it into the bucket I looked at the two buckets with pride. One with a swirling green liquid and the other with a dark green liquid " give the second potion to those who have been using that garbage that you thought kills poison because trust me, they need it" and I fainted quickly after telling them that...
I slowly opened my eyes and I was met with an unfamiliar brown ceiling. I was confused but enjoying the comfort I was sleeping on, I was actually sleeping on a bed. Why do people get out of this thing when it feels so amazing. There was a white wooden wardrobe that had a full body mirror, a study desk and chair, a small bookshelve and this bed I'm on. When scanning the room my eyes didn't miss Olivia who was standing by the door. " You're awake" she beamed from just seeing that I'm awake?
" Where am i- I mean whose the owner of this room?" Olivia smiled at me and I wondered if this kid was okay, she looks 13. " It's your room, you now live with us" what? As in this cute and clean room is mine? and did she say I now live with them? " I mean to say you live with me, Aunty Arina and Roseanne. This way it's easier for you because the potions and magic ingredients are downstairs" Arina? I don't want to live with that woman. It's very wrong of whoever made that decision to make it.
The girl continued " there are a few clothes prepared for you, we'll go shop for more at the end of the month. Alpha Vale always allows me and Roseanne to buy some things we want every six months" she spoke with shining eyes but I'm confused" Alpha Vale, who is that?", " the pack leader, he may be a killer but he is fair to those that are useful" is that supposed to potray him better?. " Anyway you should get up and shower, breakfast and big brother Zik is waiting for you downstairs" I nodded and she showed me where I'd shower. I showered and wore one of the dresses that were in the wardrobe. It was a tight long sleeve black dress that stopped just above my knees. The white sneakers were very comfortable and I just can't believe that I'm wearing clean clothes and smell great too. I tied my long black bouncy curls to a ponytail and went downstairs.
Arina, Olivia, Roseanne and Zik not Zack or Zake were sitting at the round table. I pulled the only chair that was left and sat down. In front of me was a plate that had a fried egg, a sausage and bread. Next to it was a glass filled with what I suspected to be an orange juice. Sure I can't get out of here...yet but I felt like laughing very loudly in hopes of that monster to hear me. She thought she was punishing me by throwing me out, did she think I enjoyed living there.
I finished the food in less than a minute and I felt no shame about it.
" Wow she must have been really hungry " Zik muttered, Arina cleared her throat" Right Era I'm glad you have recovered. Your healing potion was indeed better than the ones we've been using for all this time and you were right about the potion that we thought killed other poisons was actually poison itself. Thanks to your second potion we were able to help those that came out saying they've been enduring the pain for the longest of time. I'm not the one who made the decision but you are to live here and work to help the pack because you're not going to stay here and eat for free" I'm happy that she just has a terrible personality and isn't as horrible as Bianca's mother. I really don't like being here but I'll have to admit that it's survivable. Are the werewolves actually better people than the witches.
