Chapter 19

I stayed a while, not really knowing what do or act.

“Hey, could you take me to where Anna is?” I asked the guard that stood in front of the door with a solid face. He nodded. He said nothing else.

*Knock knock*

The door swung open, revealing a very angry looking Anna. “Eloise!” She screamed, all traces of the anger gone in a flash. She squeezed me till I couldn’t feel any bone in my body.

“Anna… you’re choking me” she moved from me Soo fast.

“Sorry, sorry” she looked teary. “ I saw your heart stop twice. I thought I was going to loose you” the tears started to fall, “ Eric was no longer himself he was broken. He was in wolf form for days. I couldn’t.. Ian was no longer himself and then…” I hugged her back.

“Calm down Anna, I’m right here. I promise, it’s going to take a lot to make me leave you so easily” I tried to comfort her. “promise?”

“Of course!” she wiped her eyes.

“now that that’s settled” she smiled at me. “You asswipe!!” she said, giving me a double punch. I almost lost my footing.

“Hey! I just came back from the dead remember?” I rubbed the spot she punched.

“why didn’t you tell me! About the supernatural world, about wolves, about all of these!” she looked livid.

“I was trying to protect you!!!” I defended

“And how did that work out?” she looked at me, crossing her hands over her chest.” Oh hush it.”

“Anyway, I came because I am going on a date with Eric and I don’t know what to wear.” It was kind of embarrassing saying that. Granted. I did not go out slot and my past boyfriend dumped me. One of the reasons being that I couldn’t dress like a proper girl.

I didn’t want the same thing to occurs again.

“Oh my goodness!!! Why did you not say something since!!!!!!” she clapped her hands, “let’s go!! We don’t have much time.” She dragged me into her wardrobe.

I might not have much but we’ll work on something. Do you have an idea on where you guys are going to?”

“It’s a dinner I don’t think the place matters” I held the urge to roll my eyes

“Of course you won’t! Do you even know the importance of it?” she shook her head and dragged Me into the closet.

*Bang!!!*

The door of the room burst open showing an angry looking Eric whose face morphed into one of shock soon.

*S.. sorry, I just didn’t find you so I thought something bad had happened. I didn’t mean to…” his eyes looked everywhere but me.

Granted… I was in nothing but my bra which apparently, were transparent. They left nothing for imagination. I felt my heart swell in respect for him as he tried to give him space.

“Alph…” the guys did not get to complete his words as he was shoved out of the room real quick. “I’ll leave you two to be” he then looked in to me, boring those eyes into my soul. “don’t stress yourself too much.

He shut the door firmly behind me. That was when the embarrassment hit me. “Fuck! He just saw my boobs” I might have just been going I to panic mode since I could not even breathe properly at this point.

“relax, it’s not that big of a deal” Anna said in the most laid back voice I’ve ever heard. “in fact, this has just given me an idea for your dinner” I liked at her confused. At this point I was really regretting going to her for an advise of anything. She took me to the royal seemstress.

“You know you are doing too much right? Just a few clothes in our wardrobe would be fine” again, for what seemed like the thousandth time, she ignored me and was talking to the woman about how the design of the dress should be. The worst part, I was not allowed to partake in the dress I was to wear!!!! Outrageous!!

They took my measurements and then led me back to the room..

“What are you doing?” I asked her, giving her the weird look as she dragged a box half my size out of the corner for the room.

“Just a little touch for the skin.” She dragged me to the front of the mirror.

I wasn’t wearing my contacts. My dark gray eyes looked back at me. It was … I was at a loss of words.

“you know I would never understand it. You have this beautiful hair, and the most stunning grey eyes. Why hide it?” I was glad that she wasn’t waiting for a response because I would not even be able to give one.

I loved my hair. I remembered when I was younger. I would cry to my mum to let me wear my normal hair to school. Or the days that the contacts burned my eyes and I still couldn’t take them out because people were going to see that something was off about my eye color.

“Personally, I would flaunt it without a second thought” she continued. It was then that I realized that even though she knew about the supernatural, she did not know about me.

“Anna, I need to tell you something” I said, holding my breath, planning on how I would tell her.

“whats it babe?”

“Look I don’t want you to look at me weird okay? I’m still the same person” she must have noticed the seriousness in my voice because she stopped what she was doing.

“What’s wrong?” she out down the curling iron.

“I’m not exactly human”

It was quite for minute. Two minutes.

“Are you wolf too?” I have out a breath. At least she was not freaking out

Yet.

“No. I am a seer, basically”

“If it’s what I think it is, then it’s freaking awesome. You like you see into the future and shit?” I nodded my head yes.

“But the thing is, not many people can know about it. The thing is, I am being hunted. My kind is being wiped out. And for all I know I am the last of my kind. That’s why there was a vampire attack on you. They wanted to use you to get to me” I couldn’t look at her face after that. I knew how insecure she was already feeling. Saying the last part. … Maybe I shouldn’t have added it.

Plus I put her in danger. I still would not be able to forgive myself if she had gotten anymore worse than she was.

“It’s okay. I’m not mad. Your eyes. Is it because of …,” I nodded my head, cutting her short. “I’m sorry I was being inconsiderate talking about it like that earlier.”

I shook my head no “you didn’t know, besides, it’s no big deal.” We hot back into an easy conversation while she continued doing my hair and makeup. To say I felt a lot better after telling her was an understatement.

“There, all done!” she said spinning me around. “If Eric doesn’t mark you at the end of this dinner, I don’t know what would!”

“Anna! You can’t say that” a blush came on my face with full force.

“Oh please, with the way he looks at you, it would be a miracle if you guys make it to the end of the night without him ripping your dress off…” she said wiggling her brows.

“Oh Goddess!!”
