Chapter 16

Eloise’s p.o.v

I felt the ground disappear from under my feet and slowly everything turned black once again.

I heard my voice before I could even see.

“Eloise!” Eric voice came closer to me.

“What… what’s happening” I tried to sit up, but it felt as though my body was hit with a brick.

“You aren’t to move much. The portion that was given to you would make you weak a bit.” I moved myself away from him.

Eric’s p.o.v

“I told you the last time, I didn’t want to see you! Why are you coming near me” she looked repulsed by me.

I had to move back from the shock. “El”

“No! Get the fuck away from me. You monster!” I could not even think of what could have brought such a reaction from her.

“Eloise you are in pain…” I was trying to approach her, but she was violent. She looked as though she was not in her right mind.

She looked feral.

“I would rip you out! Dare me…”

I tried as much as possible to dodge the things she threw my way.

“Eloise listen..” the noise must have attracted people because some came in to check what was going on.

“Alpha!” some guards said, standing in a fighting stance. They were ready to protect their alpha.

No one knew that she was my mate, their Luna yet.

“Stand down, no one is to hurt a hair on her…” a scissors came flying my way, hitting Soo close to my eyes. On angered wolf jumped in front of me, trying to protect me.

“Bec….” Before I could even complete my words, he jumped at her, pinning her down.

“Get away from her!” I roared. But it was already too late. He knocked her down, and in turn knocked her out.

I rushed to her. She was out cold.

“I told you to leave her” I roared, slashing his face.

“She was about to hurt you further. I am sorry Alpha”

“She is your Luna! How dare you disrespect her this way” I knew he was trying to protect me, but I could not care at the moment. He hurt my mate and my wolf was raging.

It wanted his blood and so did I….

I was just…”

“Alpha!” Ian called me, stopping me..

I was close to slashing his throat.

“Leave.” He said to the people that were behind him.

They were all reluctant to leave, but eventually they left

“You can’t loose control like that” he scolded me. He looked pissed off.

My wolf was still on the edge, so even though I knew that it was coming from a good place, my wolf was not ready to listen. It took it as challenge.

“You would not speak to me in such a way.”

He knew that my wolf was on the surface.

“I would speak anyhow to you if it brings your senses back to you! You almost hurt a pack mate! That’s not the way of an alpha and you know it. Do you want people questioning your authority? Is that it?”

I was getting more and more agitated by the moment. “Shut up” I used the alpha command on him.

I felt the betrayal come off of him on waves.

Ian was just the alpha that I was. We were both alpha bloods. The fact that he swore his alligence to me did not give me any right to shout at him

“You are tired and stressed. I won’t blame you about that.” Fix yourself up” he said and left, leaving me alone with my unconscious mate.

Ian’s p.o.v.

I looked at my unconscious mate who had a big patch on her neck. I felt as though I should bring the vampire back to life and kill him all over again.

“I’ll be back, I promise” I said and pecked her cheek.

The truth was, I was scared.

What if she didn’t accept me? What if she didn’t want me. What if she never reciprocated the love I had or was already growing for her.

She hadn’t even recognized me as her mate yet, but I was ready to give her the world.

I sighed, breaking myself free of line of thought I saw myself going down to.

It was all going to be okay.

With that in mind, I dressed up. Black turtle neck with dark color pants. I brushed my hair to the side and then took a jacket.

Eric was too distraught to think right now, so I was going to be the brains for him. I entered the car, and drove. It was a good thing there was no one on the road right now, or they would have been crushed because there was no way I was going to break speed or pull over for any one.

The plan was simple. Get Eloise’s parents and go out. There was no two ways about it. It was either she came willingly or forcefully. I could not stay to chat. My mate could wake up at any time, and I wanted to be there for when she opened her eyes.

She could be scared. What if the first place she went to when she woke up was the training ground and then saw a wolf shift? I could not imagine how traumatised she would feel.

The thought alone made me step on the gas more than normal speed.

I reached there before three hours time which was actually a good record since the town itself was a good four hours away from our pack.

*Knock knock knock* I waited for a response. I thought it would be less better of I let them open the door for me than forcing myself in.

Its best to play nice.

“Can I help you?” a man in his what seems to be early forties. Opened the door. He looked slightly pissed of.

Most likely he had gotten off an argument.

“This concerns Eloise” I saw his face morph from anger to curiosity in an instant.

“How is she, where is she, oh poor baby girl”

“her mum is needed this moment” he nodded, went inside Soo quickly, leaving the door open

“I am not going” I heard from inside. I assumed that was the mother.

“ How much selfish can you be? This might be the one chance to bring her back” the irritation in the man’s voice it was satisfying.

“ Well I am not going and that’s final!” I rolled my eyes. This was going to take a while if I let it go their way.

I stepped into the house, forcing myself through the force field that surrounded the house.

“Hello, sorry to cut short this meeting but, I am in a bit of a hurry. Get with me into the car, willingly or forcefully” I was polite enough.

It really doesn’t get nicer than that.

“I would rather eat dirt” she said with Soo much spite.

“Fine then” I knocked her out, and carried her over my shoulder.

“wait please, can I come with?” I looked at him. He was sincere. That was when I noticed it. It was faint, but the mating bond between these two was there..
