NELSON'S POV
She is right, very right. The job of the Luna is a very tactful one, how is a human going to follow me into war? Melissa isn't a wolf that can shift and fight, she can't even protect herself and was almost killed twice if not that I was always present to save her. There has to be a mistake somewhere, maybe the Moon goddess made a mistake, it should be because I don't understand how this could play out. Although I could admit that Melissa does have a Fierce fire burning inside of her but I need someone brave enough to lead the pack into war and not a weakling.
"You should have thought so well about this before getting married. Now, you are stuck on making a human you're Luna ...." Viviana paused, she held my face, this time, there was a strange expression on her face.
"What if your father lied?" She muttered to my terror.
"Lied? How, Viviana?" I tried not to get angry at her.
"Come on Nelson, don't see it the wrong way but we both know that these started with your father and his dream concerning a war that might break out in the future. Your father woke up one morning and said that the moon goddess appeared to him and told him to make sure that you get married to a human before his death. This was agreed by Tinox, the Gamma of this pack, how sure are you that the moon goddess ever appeared to your father? What If he just said this just to fulfill his own desire? Think deeply Nelson, we both know that there is something more to this, something more that your father didn't tell you and Tinox is probably hiding from you" she raised her brow giving a slight nod, a confident expression on her face.
For a moment, I couldn't utter a word, the words of Viviana filled my head and I couldn't help but think deep.

"No way Viviana, you are getting everything wrong"
"My father will never make this up. He wasn't pleased when he informed me about this since such has never occurred. He feared that me having a human as my Luna might bring misfortune to my regime or maybe cause more problems in times of war. But he just had to watch me, his heir getting married to a human. You could see it clearly with the way he spoke to Melissa the first day she joined us for breakfast. You are getting this wrong Viviana, so wrong" I shook my head severally, finding it very difficult to believe that my father made this up.
"Do you think so?"
"Really Nelson?" Viviana asked.
"You don't know your father more than Tinox. He should know better and have you asked him this? Even when he gave you such a stupid condition, did you in anyway want to know why all of these is happening? You shouldn't let them use you Nelson, your father is dead and gone for good. The only person now In the position to let everything known to you is Tinox, not anyone else"
I stared at her slightly angry
"You shouldn't speak about my father in such a way. My father is a great man who wants nothing else but the best for me. The moon goddess instructed that this should be made, there are no two ways about it" I emphasized with deep trust in my heart.
Viviana smirked, she placed her hand on my face so softly and turned my face towards hers so that I could have a clearer look of her face.
"I heard that the Alpha do get a sign from the moon goddess before mating. Sure, you must have gotten yours because I am certain that your father received his"
Her words rang like a pound alarm to me. She is right, very right, indeed new Alpha's do receive a sign from the moon goddess before becoming Alpha but I didn't receive mine. Is Viviana's words true? Did my father make this up?
No way
This is not possible!
My father will do no such.
He wants nothing but a successful reign, he will never wish me bad or expect something evil to happen to me. No! Viviana's words aren't right, I am greatly sure about this.
Slowly, I let go of her hand on my face, "No Viviana, I trust my father too well to believe he will make this up. You are right, I am yet to get my sign from the moon goddess but that doesn't mean I am late. I can get my sign before my coronation, we both know this but if you insist that I didn't make a mistake in getting married to Melissa knowing the fact that I have no feelings for her neither have I shared any intimacy with her. I will make inquiries from Tinox right now just to clear your mind" I say, taking a step away from her as I head towards the door.
"Nelson," she called.
I turned around only to find her staring at me with a frown on her face.
"You look so eager to support your father's decision in you getting married to a human. How sure are you that you are not about to go on with this marriage if you're with her?" She asked looking greatly pissed, her eyes so sharp that I knew she had evil thoughts in her head.
I sighed loudly.
"You always get me wrong Viviana"
"Prove to me that my suspicion isn't true by telling me what you plan on doing concerning the elders' decision. Do you really want to end up falling for her?" She asked.
"You know that I will do no such thing. Falling in love is a thing of the heart Vivina and you know that this heart already belongs to you, no other woman, just you." I walked closer to her with a smile on my face, "The plan here is for both I and Melissa to act that we are in love and as soon as I get what I want, the plan will go off" I revealed to her feeling really sure that the plan is indeed going to work.
At first, Viviana didn't say a word but gazed at me.
"How sure are you that the elders won't find out that you both are pretending. After all, I know how much Melissa hates you, how do you think she is going to agree to this"
I stared at her really speechless. I wasn't worried that the elders might find out that it's just a game, of course, they will never find out, I am just skeptical of Viviana's second suggestion on Melissa agreeing to this. The incident of what happened between us some minutes ago crept through my mind and I know that her hatred for me must have really deepened by my act.
"Melissa isn't a problem" I let out, "I know how much Conri has been training her on her duties of becoming Luna. This is something babe craves for, something she looks forward to doing and I am certain that she will agree to this. We both will do anything to get rid of each other and this is the only way this wish of ours can come true" I held her face and kissed her softly on the lips.
"I do love you Viviana, so much. No other woman can attain this and know that whatever I am doing right now is for our future. Immediately I become the Alpha, I will sort for ways to bring you into the royal home, to fulfill the wish you have ever dreamt for" saying this, I wrapped my hand around her in a tight hug but the thought of Melissa rested so deep in my heart.
