When the upriser finished handing the banners to Wayne, they started leaving. Hugo also went inside the company to inform Mr. Williams that somehow the problem has solved. Wayne had already carried the banners inside the car while I followed him. I was about to get into the car when one hand stopped me.
I turned to see who it was when I saw Hugo getting red. Maybe because of the heat. I looked at his hand that was holding me, but he didn’t seem to get what I meant. I wanted him to remove his hand that was holding me. My two eyebrows met together, and I looked at him curiously.
“Let’s go.” He was about to pull me, but I held Wayne’s hand so he couldn’t pull me. He looked at me as his jaw tightened, but I didn’t move. Wayne is already holding my hand.
“Wayne came here with me, so it would embarrass if I left him after I forced him to come with me. You came here alone, maybe it won’t be hard for you to come back alone.” I removed his hand, but he tightened it but not to hurt me. He left my eyes and turned his attention to Wayne.
“I don’t think it would upset Wayne if my fiance got in my car.” He looked at me and grinned before looking back at Wayne. “Isn’t it Wayne?”
I looked at Wayne with my eyes widened. I shook my head weakly to warn him not to consent. But even though I had done everything, I was still disappointed because he sighed and let go of my hand.
“Come with him.” He pinched my nose and ruffled my hair. “Just treat me the next time we met!” He pinched my cheek now, even though he was just joking. We were still joking with each other when Hugo suddenly grabbed me. As we approached his car, I dropped his hand and enter the car.
I rushed into the car and did not speak again. He did the same. He didn’t take me to the building, but their house. I did nothing because I didn’t want to talk to him. When I came down, he pulled my hand again. What is the problem with this man and he has been dragging me by the hand for a while now!
“What is your problem?” He turned my body to him while his eyes were angry. “Ha?!” I let out an angry breath and looked at him wickedly. Am I the one with the problem now? I wanted to say that to him, but I restrained myself. I immediately marched up and ignored his question.
He followed me but I was surprised that mommy Helena, daddy Adelard, and two businessmen were in the lobby. I don’t think Hugo was looking as he walked because he suddenly bumped behind me and looked where I was looking. Hopefully, they didn’t hear Hugo’s fight with me especially and there were people today. I don’t know if I will pray just for that to happen when mommy Helena suddenly speaks.
“Mr. Raymond, Mr. Dan, this is my daughter-in-law and the future CEO of Rxtra. They are the ones I told you, who will come with you to the province to accompany you on your project.” Mommy Helena raised her hand to us and waved. I don’t know if I’m going, but in the end, I have no choice but to go.
Hugo shook hands with the two men, so I did the same. My brain is spinning at what mommy Helena said about going to the province and project. What is she saying? My mind has been answered when Mr. Raymond spoke.
“Did Helena tell you to go to Guangdong province?” The man smiled as he looked back at us. He sat down and waited for our answer. I wanted to answer that I didn’t know, but I felt like I wasn’t in the right ambiance to say that, so Hugo answered.
"Yes. It's about the malnourished who need to be supplied with medicines and enough food, right? This program is good especially in the population of people dying increasing due to starvation and lack of supply of medicine." Hugo wrapped his hand around my waist as I looked at him in surprise. He didn't tell me anything about it. What should I do? Why am I coming? He can take the woman with him to the restaurant the other day.
The two men stood up. "Then there's no problem?" He turned to daddy Adelard. "You can expect our agreement to be fulfilled once this project is successful." Everyone shook hands as mommy Helena looked at me.
When daddy Adelard take the two men to the gate, mommy Helena focused on me. She approached me and held my hand. "I'm sorry Adele. I didn't know it would lead to this. Your daddy Adelard and I found out that our medicine supplier has been doing illegal things for a long time. So I needed their help. That's just the way it is and that's the way they are. . " She was already crying while still holding my hand. "We don't want the issue to get worse because the company might collapse."
"Mommy, don't cry anymore. They're just asking for a small thing. Isn't that nice too? To help. Also, I'm not doing anything here so it's also a good hobby. Everything will be okay in your company as well. I believe in you all. " I hugged mommy while Hugo looked at us. I stared at him too. I saw his eyes spark.
It's good and mommy Helena calms down a bit. When she calmed down, daddy Adelard entered. I broke away from the hug, then asked.
"When is that?" I adjusted the office attire I was wearing because it messed up a bit. I also let go of the hug because I felt like I was smell stink because of my sweat earlier.
I was surprised by their answer because they spoke at the same time.
"Tomorrow."
