Chapter 28

I don't know how long I sat in the same spot, trying to process what had happened with this man I had only seen once in my life and whose name I had learned in the middle of a moment I would surely never forget.

When I heard the knocks on the bathroom door, I reached down and fixed my dress, as well as my hair. Nothing had happened, but it had left me seemingly nervous.

I had to get Lucas or I was going to explode.

Now I had to face the other guy.

I took a deep breath and opened the door, meeting my best friend head on. I frowned at once.

"What happened?"

He folded his arms, "What do you think...my college year is ruined" he said with a worried look on his face.

"How is it going to be ruined?"

He entered the bathroom and closed the door- "How could you lock yourself in with another, even more handsome man, while he was watching them?" he pointed outside, dumbfounded.

"I think they're brothers and besides, he carried me like a sack and locked me in here," I confessed, "He said he wouldn't bother me anymore."

"You," he pointed out, "But he's going to make my life miserable," he covered his face, "Remember the woman I told you about?"

"Yes."

"Well, she, she's going to have me cut into little pieces because he asked her to," he said worriedly, "She's going to tell so many lies to make my life impossible, as if I had forced this.... What's his name?"

"Madow."

"Madow," he repeated, but stopped, "What, did he tell you his name?" I bit my lips, nervous. He pursed his as soon as he noticed me strange, "Amy, what did they do while they were locked in here?"

"Nothing, we didn't do anything."

"Then why the look on your face?"

I took a deep breath, "Let's just say he came close enough to tell me his name, but it was just to provoke me," he opened his lips, "And I liked it," he covered his mouth.

"What the fuck?"

"Don't say anything about it, okay?" I warned and he grimaced strangely and looked at me worriedly, "What? Why that face now?"

"Well, that's what I wanted to tell you too," he pulled out his cell phone and looked for something, "They took a picture of you and that Adonis, while I was carrying you to the bathroom. They all know who you are now," he confessed and I opened my mouth in concern.

"No."

"Yes."

"No," I combed my hair restlessly, "How could that happen at a party full of abrios?"

"They don't carry their name well for nothing; they're crazy psychos," he assured, "Now we'll be the talk of the college."

I folded my arms thinking, "We can't be intimidated, they're lies. In any case, we will take the necessary steps to stop them."

"Really? They ruined the rest of our career," he leaned back against the sink and we stood in silence, music playing in the distance.

Now how were we going to stop something like that?

Who had created this group of crazy psychopaths?

There would have to be some way to eliminate it and stop them from making our lives miserable, but we still didn't know for sure if they were going to ruin the rest of the race for us, since it was the weekend. We would have to try going to college.

I couldn't believe that man had done that to find me and took revenge that way for not seeing him.

He definitely didn't get what he wanted, but it seemed to make it worse that his brother, I imagined, had butted in.

Why did he do that?

And to have provoked me like that. It wasn't fair.

And worst of all, I had liked feeling vulnerable and submissive before that beast who could crush me with his body if he wanted to.

"Do you know who created the group?" I questioned and he denied.

"I don't know, but I can find out. I have to change my name and profile picture, to camouflage myself," he sighed, "I can't let them take me out, I have to know what they say or do."

"That's a good idea, could you get me in too?"

"I don't know, maybe if I get something from Matt or some of the pedestal men, they'll give you entry without needing to know who you are," he said and I nodded.

"I can talk to Matt, however, from the ones we saw today, I'm definitely not going to get anything. I don't want to see them even in paint, I hope the red-haired one would have told the truth and the other one won't bother again," I sentenced and he nodded.

"Yeah, but that's not going to matter much, they're still going to make our lives miserable," he denied, "What are we going to do, we can't skip classes."

"No, and we're not going to. I have two careers to answer for."

"Yes, I know, how I admire you," he smiled short and I sighed.

The truth was proving harder than usual trying to keep control with my personal life and studying. I didn't want to get distracted, not again.

Plus there was my grandfather's health and the job I was going to do.

Fortunately the schedule was in the evening, but that meant less sleep and more difficult work. I was going to give my all to make an effort.

"Will we have to leave?" he asked after the long silence and I lifted my shoulders unknowingly.

"I don't know, there are too many people here, I don't think they'll pay attention to us," I said, but I immediately remembered him, "Oh my God, Kyllian."

"What about him?" he grimaced.

"What if he finds out that one man locked me in the bathroom with him and another was looking for me, lots of people have seen me with him, mates and Gwen," I bit a finger worriedly.

"This would be the chance to get rid of him, it's the only advantage," he commented and I gave him a dirty look.

"No, it's not the way, Lucas," I snorted, "Why do I feel like things are getting out of hand?"

"Is it because we can't control everything?"

"I do," I sighed, "I just needed to loosen up a little for it all to go to shit. That's why I am the way I am."

"You're drunk and you're overreacting," she pointed out, "If we could control what we do, you wouldn't be with Kyllian."

"Ay Lucas, even with this situation you don't stop hating Kyllian. For the last time, I'm not going to mess with a guy just because he has the biggest muscles ever," I assured, "I don't care about being with anyone, I was just having fun."

He snorted, "Sometimes I don't like you."

"Right back at you," I sighed, "Now, how do we get out of here?"

He stared for several seconds thinking, even going so far as to look at the bathroom window, but that was definitely a bad idea. I had a short, soft dress on, so with anything it would rip and even my last name would show from the height.

"We could stay here until everyone is almost dead from the drink."

I bit my lips. That could be a good option, but I'd have to explain to Kyllian why I didn't go back with them, plus I'd be claiming that a man put me in the bathroom with him, if it came to be the case that he found out.

"Or we go downstairs, pretend nothing happened, have a drink and leave," I said slowly and he twisted his mouth.

"Are you sure?"

"Being cooped up in here just makes things worse," I folded my arms, "Besides, I'm thirsty. I need some distraction and being in here makes me claustrophobic," I confessed.

"Okay, but don't get separated from me," I nodded and he grabbed my arm to walk out to the party together.

I went into eagle eye mode as soon as we saw the people in front of us, trying to find if anyone was looking for us or waiting to attack us. It was a party where grief disappeared and everyone did what they wanted, so I didn't want to take any chances with anyone.
