Chapter 14
While Laura was devising a plan to make Morgan pay for his actions that harmed her, he was determined to return home and resolve his pending family matters. When he communicated his decision, the meeting became tense, and the Capos expressed their concern about the mafia's business being at risk.
"I don't mean to be disrespectful, DOM Morgan, but this meeting has been postponed for months, and we have businesses at stake," said Matteo, the Capi.
"He's right, DOM. We know that the matter you have to resolve involves Laura. For years, you have been an unmatched boss, respected by all and feared by many. But since this woman appeared in your life, you are jeopardizing your legacy and your father's legacy," emphasized Capi Lorenzo.
Nate tried to smooth things over by suggesting giving Morgan some time and handling the issues in his absence. However, Lorenzo couldn't contain himself and voiced his concerns:
"As always, you try to defend DOM, Nate. Our lives are at risk. We've left our families, wives, children to spill our blood for our mafia. You are our family too. Do you think if we show weakness, our enemies won't attack our families? This woman will still put you in danger, Morgan. I speak as someone who saw you grow up, who was like an uncle to you. End this alliance with her family and send her back home. Consider for a moment that you might be putting her at risk."
The tense atmosphere continued as Capi Matteo recalled the incident caused by Loren at the hospital and the almost fatal attack orchestrated by Niklaus against Laura. The Capos' words weighed heavily on Morgan, but he was determined not to give up on Laura.
"I've heard enough; enough is enough! Laura will be my future wife. Loren had no right to interfere in my life, let alone her damn brother. I've always been honest with her. I never loved her; we married out of convenience, and she knew and accepted that. The loss of our child was an accident, an accident she caused herself by chasing after me. So don't come at me with this story," Morgan vented before storming out.
Morgan was furious with the Capos, feeling pressured to choose between Laura and the mafia. Nate went after him, reminding him of his duty as DOM and leader.
"Morgan, I've always defended you in everything, but this time, they're right. You've completely changed because of Laura. I know you care for her, it might even be the first time you've fallen in love. I've never seen you like this. But please, get your head straight. You are our boss, think about how many families can be affected by our slip-ups. Laura will now be a target for them. You killed Niklaus, I know what he tried to do to her was wrong, but tell me, what father would let go of everything Loren went through and still have to bury a child? Tell me which one?" Nate questioned.
Morgan acknowledged the seriousness of the situation and the need to protect Laura. Still, he couldn't let go of her.
"I know you're right, I just can't let her go. It's stronger than anything, I can't describe it," he replied, nervously.
Nate understood Morgan's position and promised to reinforce their security. He emphasized the importance of Morgan staying vigilant and not letting his guard down because of his love for Laura.
"Thank you! You know you're more than a friend to me; you're like a brother," expressed Morgan.
"Yes, I know, that's why I told you all this. I don't want you to harm yourself. Go rest for a few days with Laura, sort out your life, and come back," Nate advised.
"I will," Morgan agreed.
Strengthening the bonds that united them, Morgan knew that Nate wanted to see him happy. As Morgan prepared for a long flight, he thought about what he would have to face. With the challenges ahead, he knew that protecting Laura and his life in the mafia would be delicate and interconnected issues, requiring him to make difficult decisions.
Finally, arriving home after all the turmoil that happened, all Morgan wanted was to be in Laura's arms and enjoy a few days together.
"Good morning, princess. Did I wake you?" he asked.
"Only if it's for you," Laura whispered softly.
"I don't understand?" he asked.
"I said good morning, I thought you'd arrive at night."
"I needed to see you, be by your side."
"And where do you intend to take me?" she asked curiously.
"I want to take you to my beach house on my private island."
"And how many days will we be away?"
"As many as you want. I think it'll be good for us to get to know each other better," he said confidently.
"I also think so, because there are many gaps that haven't been filled," she tried to hold back from being rude.
"I'll take a shower, do you want to come with me?"
"You go ahead, I'll join you in a moment."
"Alright, don't take too long; I missed you so much."
Morgan enters the bathroom, leaving Laura grumbling to herself.
"How is he so calm? How can he act so fake, as if he's the most amazing guy? I'll take you to a private island, blah blah blah. I'm going to make you regret everything you did to me, Morgan, you'll be at my mercy, and then you'll experience the hell that awaits you."
"Taking a long, princess?"
"I'm coming."
Entering the bathroom, I see Morgan with his strong physique, defined abs, his wet hair, and the water gliding over his naked body, his big hard cock ready to be ridden. God, it won't be easy to resist all this. As fake as he is, he's equally delicious. I need to snap back to my senses and focus on my plan, but right now, all I want is to be taken by him eagerly. After all, he owes me that. I step into the bathroom, and Morgan turns off the shower and gets into the bathtub, helping me get in. Kissing my neck, he starts tempting me...
