Chapter 9: Chapter:9
**Taylor’s POV**
My mind is running 100 miles a minute with thoughts of Dimitri and I together last night. I can’t seem to wrap my head around the fact that I actually let loose and got to that point with someone after so long. To make matters worse, he’s my boss.
I want to blame the alcohol and weed but I have a feeling that he wouldn’t have forced himself onto me had I told him no.
Bits and pieces from last night keep flooding my memory and I can feel myself blush as I recall grabbing onto his thick, black hair as my orgasm hit me hard. It was the best I’ve had. The only orgasm from a man.
I feel myself heat up at the thought of him and a wave of embarrassment wash over me at how vocal I was. I really couldn’t even have controlled myself even if I wanted to.
“We’re here, Miss.” I hear Dimitri’s driver say and I look up to find that we’re indeed in front of my apartment building. “Thank you.” I say before grabbing my stuff and getting out. I make my way up the stairs and almost kiss the ground when my apartment number appears in front of me. I just want to get out of these uncomfortable heels.
I jam the key into the keyhole and push the door open to find an empty apartment waiting for my presence. Kelsey is most likely still with Chris so this gives me the time and space that I need to get my thoughts in order.
I let things get out of hand with my boss and now he wants to take me out for lunch.
Could this just be a way to get into my pants or is he really interested? I don’t know, but I do know that I don’t want to find out.
I go to the bathroom and strip off my clothes for hopping into the shower. I scrub my body clean and get out before drying off and getting dressed.
Once I’ve finished, I grab my laptop and start looking at jobs, things are going to be way too awkward and work so I need to prepare for when I can’t handle the awkwardness anymore.
Dimitri is really attractive and I would just love to get lost in him but unfortunately, I can’t afford to get mixed up in all of this. I want to continue staying lowkey and having any sort of relationship with Dimitri other than a work relationship would just cause me a lot of problems.
As I’m scrolling through vacancies, my eyes fall on a blog post with my face on it. It is a picture from last night of Dimitri helping me out of the car. The picture is taken from such an awkward angle that it looks like I’m snuggling up to Dimitri.
Reading through the post, I can’t help but feel excited at the thought of Dimitri and me being an item.
A stupid smile spreads across my face as I think about all the things we would do together but I stop myself as I remember the position that I’m in right now. I can’t afford to think like this about my boss.
A few hours into scrolling and becoming bored, my Netflix show is interrupted by my phone ringing.
*Unknown caller…*
I hesitate to answer before a sigh leaves my lips. I slide my finger across the screen and stay quiet for a few seconds. “It’s been a couple of hours and you still haven’t called me. Why is that, Ms. Bennett?” A smooth deep voice speaks through the phone and I almost immediately recognize it. “I had to get settled in first.” I say softly and he chuckles. “Well that was quite the settling in case you couldn’t even look at your phone, apparently.” He smoothly responds causing a smile to form on my lips.
“How can I help you, Mr. Alfonso?” I ask putting my professional voice on. “If that’s the voice you use to talk to clients, then I think you should stop. They might think you’re trying to seduce them.” He jokes causing my cheeks to redden. “Ha ha ha, very funny. Now tell me, what is the motivation behind this phone call?” I ask and he takes a deep breath.
“I can only guess that you’ve seen the article by now.” He starts off. “I have. They got it all wrong.” I tell him and he hums in agreement. “I know but I unfortunately can’t do anything about it. I’ve tried but they won’t take it down. I hope this doesn’t affect you in any way.” He says sounding sincere.
“it’s honestly okay. The article itself isn’t even that bad. Have you really never been photographed with a woman before?” I ask curiously and he chuckles. “Never.” He says as a slight shiver moves through my body.
“Interesting. Why?” I ask not being able to stop myself.
“Curious aren’t we? Let me take you out on that lunch and I’ll tell you whatever you want to know. I also have a business proposal for you but I can only tell you what it is if you agree to meet with me.” He says knowing full well that he has me in a corner.
My nosey self really wants to know what this proposal is and in true nosey fashion, I agree.
“Fine. I’ll have lunch with you but on one condition.” I say taking a long pause as I listen to him breathing. “Go on.” He slowly says and I smile to myself at his cautious tone. “Well don’t sound so scared. I’m not going to make you do anything crazy…maybe.” I say and he lets out a deep throaty chuckle that awakens a different feeling inside of me. *A laugh so manly, so sexy.
“Who knows, I might let you tell me what to do.” He says with his voice sounding dangerously low.
My breath slightly hitches in my throat as the words leave his mouth. My eyes shut on their own accord and I let the images of his full lips invade my thoughts. The memory of them between my legs returns causing me to clench them together.
*Sweet mother of all things good.
“You’re awfully quiet, Ms. Bennett. What’s the matter?” His voice sounds through the phone, pulling me out of my own head. “Nothing. Just thinking of a place for us to meet. That’s my condition.” I say trying to distract myself from the ache between my thighs. An ache that he could easily take away judging by last night's mouthwork if my memory serves me right.
“That’s fine. Somewhere quiet, though. We will be discussing serious matters. Oh and be sure to bring a pen. You will most likely be signing documents as well.” He informs me, almost immediately having switched to boss mode.
“Docum-“ I go to say but he cuts me off. “I need to go now, Taylor. Let me know what day works best for you and we’ll continue this conversation then.” He says quickly. “Okay. I just need to know what your schedule is like. I wouldn’t want to book you on an important day.” I joke and he hums.
“Pick any day that fits your schedule, Ms. Bennett. I will clear the day for you.” He says an butterflies go crazy in my stomach. A smile forces its way onto my face and have to force myself not to turn into a complete fangirl.
“Okay then. I will be in touch.” I say softly and he lets out a light chuckle.
“Have a good rest of your evening, Ms. Bennett.”
“Goodnight, Mr. Alfonso.”
We hang up and the door opens to reveal Kelsey.
“What’s got you smiling so hard?” She says with a smirk and I blush.
“I have so much to tell you.”
