Chapter 14: Chapter:14
**Taylor's POV**
"Shit. My bad." Keath says quickly turning around. I scramble to get off the counter and Dimitri pushes me behind him. "You should've called first, Keath." Dimitri says sounding highly annoyed. "Well how was I supposed to know that you'd have company. Hi, Talyor." He says and I can practically hear the smirk in his tone.
"Hi, Keath." I softly greet him back. "This can wait til tomorrow." Dimitri says with finality in his voice.
"Aye, aye, Captain." Keath says before walking back to the elevator. "Enjoy your breakfast, Mr. Alfonso." He yells followed by a loud laugh.
Dimitri lets out a sigh and turns around. "I'm sorry about that." He says handing me my pants and underwear. I look up at him and shake my head as a small giggle leaves my mouth.
"I just hope he didn't see anything." I say still laughing. "Me too. I wouldn't want to have to poke his eyes out." He says with a small smile. I playfully roll my eyes as I put my clothes back on.
"Are you okay?" He asks after a little while of silence and I nod. "I just need to sit down for a bit. My legs are a little wobbly." I say without thinking twice and my cheeks turn red. I look up only to see a smug smirk on his lips.
"Oh shut up." I say giving him a playful smack on the chest. "Hey, you said it, not me." He says as he raises his hands.
We make our way to the couch before plopping down. He takes my legs over his lap and softly rubs them. My mind goes back to his mouth on me and I slow my head as a small smile sneaks onto my face. "What's got you smiling?" He asks and I shake my head.
"We need to talk about going to my parent's place. We leave Friday and we'll be staying for a week. During that time, we would need to act like we've been dating for a while. We don't need to pack on the PDA but a little kiss here and there would make it all the more believable." Dimitri briefs me and I laugh at his kiss comment.
"Or maybe you just want kisses and don't know how to ask." I joke and he shushes me. I laugh and he squeezes my knee.
"Seriously, though. I want you to be as comfortable as possible with our arrangement. If at any time you feel uncomfortable with anything, you need to tell me immediately and I'll sort it out." He says and my heart skips two beats at his care and concern for my comfortability. "Thank you, Dimitri." I say sincerely as I give him a small smile.
"Do you want to go shopping?" He suddenly asks and my eyes widen. "What? Now?" I ask and he nods. "Yeah. We could get you a few things. Get some lunch and maybe watch a movie if you're up for it." He says looking hopeful. "I mean, I don't have much to do today anyway. I'm down." I agree and he smiles.
"Okay. Let's get showered and changed. You can use the shower in my bedroom and I'll use the other bathroom." He offers and I nod. "Thanks."
I get up and we both walk to his room. He gets a few toiletries from his bathroom before leaving the room and closing the door behind him.
I walk into the bathroom and strip out of my clothes before stepping into the heavenly shower that Dimitri already heated up for me. The small droplets fall on shoulders and chest with a force that could resemble that of a light massage.
*This feels amazing.*
I scrub my body thoroughly and only get out once I'm satisfied with my level of cleanliness. I get out and dry off before walking into the room.
I get a pair of light-washed jeans, a white tank top and a white hoodie. I get a pair of socks and my vans out of the bag before walking back into the bathroom.
I do some light make-up that consists of doing my brows, applying some mascara and lip liner and gloss. I never really wear a lot of make-up. It's minimal most of the time that I do wear it and I actually happen to like it. It all has to do with my mother not allowing me to wear any at all as a teenager.
Although she blames the possibility of me rebelling or acting out, I honestly just think she took her insecurities and frustration out on me for my father leaving her for a younger woman. To be fair, the pictures we've seen of the girl justify my mother's hatred towards wearing make-up. She was your standard cake-faced Barbie.
My mother is a very complicated woman to deal with and I've tried to stay in contact but every time I called she would either be busy or just would not answer my calls at all. I've made peace with the fact that she's written me off for some reason though.
A knock sounds at the door pulling me out of my depressive thoughts, followed by Dimitri's voice.
"Hey, are you ready yet?" He asks. "Almost, two more seconds and I'll be out." I respond as I put my shoes on.
Once I'm done, I walk out of the room and into the living room. Dimitri looks up from his phone and scans my outfit. "You look beautiful, Taylor." He says and I smile. "Thank you, so do you." I say looking at his outfit. He's wearing dark jeans and a black hoodie with what looks like a white shirt underneath.
"Shall we go?" He asks and I nod before we walk to the elevator. "I hope you're ready for a whole lot of fun." He says and I smile. "Bring it on." I say and he chuckles.
Once we get to the garage, we hop in his car and make our way to the mall.
