Chapter 224 - Sick tadpole - meters
Daniel
She didn't want any more kids, I wanted one more, so she was careful. Honestly, I didn't know she hadn't gotten her shot.
"I have to say in my defense that I had no idea you didn't take care of yourself. Still, I hope you got pregnant, Little Cabbage. And don't even think of suggesting I wrap it up until your period comes. Let's take a shower."
"You always get your way."
"You're the boss here. I rule from the door out, but here I'm completely at your mercy." She slapped me playfully.
"When will you learn to talk like normal people?"
"Sorry, my Clari. I bet most men think it but keep quiet. We're not like everyone else."
"No. That's clear. You two are unique."
We turned on the shower, making sure the water came from all sides except the front. If she turned, I'd protect her from hitting her scars.
"I adore you, Daniel Bermúdez."
"I know." We started kissing.
"Dani, we need to sort out the kids' schools. Roland told me he already has a prototype for our Ranch. He'll show it to me on Saturday."
"Are you happy staying here? That means you'll stop working at the foundation."
"We can do things remotely, and when necessary, I'll travel with you, like Arnold is doing and Diana works from home. Our kids' safety comes first, love."
I turned off the shower and started soaping her up as I always did.
"This way, Roland will keep an eye on us. He misses nothing. Plus, my mom agreed to stay. She'll live in this apartment, and we'll be at the Ranch."
"The Cabbage isn't a bad name."
"Don't you dare name it that!" I laughed, having actually considered it.
"If you find a name that makes me change my mind before I buy the land I'm negotiating, we'll talk. For now, I like The Cabbage."
She put her hands on her hips, ready to confront me. How I loved my woman.
"If you name it that, look at my three holes." She pointed with her finger—mouth, vagina, and butt. "You'll only look at them. We're at a new beginning..." We looked at each other, understanding.
"The Beginning," I said. She nodded. I lifted her and started kissing her again. My friend was ready for battle. "I like it. I love you."

Arnold
I left the woman I picked up at the university in bed while I went to shower. Last night, when I arrived, I noticed the absence of the Kid. I found out she was sick and missed the first week of class. In the morning, I went to my first day of class for my second degree. I'll study advertising and specialize in marketing.
So, Saturdays were for the specialization, and Thursdays and Fridays for my degree. I turned on the shower. The woman I picked up was about thirty and fell right into my lap. I brought her to the apartment. When we came in an hour ago, I saw Lupe's suitcases in the living room. She must be at the university now.
I had checked her schedule, and she wouldn't be out long. I didn't know her schedule for her second degree, which was at night. I needed to ask her.
"Is there room for me?" I cringed. She wasn't someone I'd repeat with.
"Sure." She stepped in, and I stepped out.
"That's rude," she said. I shrugged.
"Look, I'm not up for nonsense. I was clear, just sex. Excuse me."
I got dressed and went to the kitchen for water. At that moment, Guadalupe came in with someone. The apartment was huge, an open concept, so I could see her being very flirty with a guy.
"Hi, Arnold. Good thing you're done. That noise was annoying for studying. I had to catch up for the two days I missed. But that racket you made was bothersome."
She said the last part with a hint of jealousy. She went into the kitchen and grabbed some glasses. The apartment was empty when I got it, and I hired a designer. I liked how it turned out, but it was definitely a bachelor's pad.
"Sam, is there a grocery store nearby?"
"Look, Sam," I interrupted. "Has the Kid caught up? If so, you can go. You and I need to go grocery shopping." I said, looking at her. There was no way she was leaving with this guy.
"You're with your girlfriend."
I huffed. The woman peeked out, angry. It wasn't my fault she didn't get the rules. She looked Lupe up and down.
"Sweetie, you should leave your boyfriend. He's a jerk."
"I already know that!" replied the Mexican woman. "But the güerejo is not my boyfriend, don't wish me that misfortune without knowing me." Both women smiled. "Sorry he wasn't good in bed."
"I didn't say that, he's good, just a bastard." I raised my eyebrow, they were talking and my dick definitely held up its dignity. "He's a son of a bitch," said the older woman. "With a bit more subtlety, you'd be quite the charmer." Guadalupe spat out her water from laughing.
"I'd pay to see when he becomes or learns to be charming."
Now they were mocking him, the guy named Sam made some strange movements and I realized the guy was low on salt as Gustavo would say, in other words, he was more of a danger to me than to Renacuaja.
"Get ready, Renacuaja, we need to go."
"Goodbye forever," said the woman.
"You said it."
The blonde woman seemed momentarily possessed by the eye roll, her eyes went very white, and she left slamming the door.
"Here." Sam already seemed likable, he handed Lupe a bag with medicine, oh right, she was sick. "See you tomorrow at the university."
"Take care." They said goodbye and I saw how Sam touched her forehead.
"If you still have a fever, you shouldn't go to your second university."
"Thanks for worrying, let's hope it passes, I have classes at six."
"See you tomorrow. Goodbye, sir." Lupe burst into laughter again.
"That title is too big for him, and he still lacks the wood to be called sir. Call him Arnold."
I raised my eyebrow, they said goodbye, I hoped all of Renacuaja's friends were like Sam. She took one of her suitcases and dragged it.
"I assume my room is the one on the right, correct?"
I nodded, took the other two suitcases, and carried them to her room. My room was messy because of what had just happened.
"Let's go," she confirmed.
"Here, this is from my dad, it's the monthly payment agreed upon for my stay."
I didn't agree with it, but it was the only way Jacinto accepted that she could stay in my house. I put the money in an empty jar in the pantry.
"It will stay here, in case you need anything."
"I'll also contribute for groceries, I'm not a fan of eating out." She clearly wasn't feeling well, her eyes were red from the fever.
"Cover up well, let's go."
While she went for something, I took out the medicine. She came back with a light sweater, the weather in San Antonio was hot like in Blanco. But if she had a fever, her body heat might be sensitive to the breeze.
We left, got to the truck, Roland had done me the favor of sending it with one of the workers. We arrived at a chain store, Guadalupe was focused on grocery shopping and buying food. I only included cereals, many canned goods, and things easy to put in an oven. The rest I would order for delivery, but not her, she put ingredients for cooking in the cart.
"Renacuaja, do you know how to cook?"
She hugged herself due to a shiver and nodded. The truth was, the women I had dated only wanted to go to restaurants.
"My mother taught me." She might have the same flavor as Carmela because she cooked like a goddess.
"I can't handle street food, it's fine occasionally, but eating junk food every day is not my thing. Besides, I like to eat well. It won't be a sacrifice, if I cook for myself, I can do it for you when you're at the apartment."
"I hope I don't get poisoned."
She smiled, shaking her head. She hadn't argued with me, she must have felt really bad, her beautiful eyes still looked weary. We finished shopping, paid half and half, I liked that. I remembered what Rata once said, she didn't like to be given anything, she worked for it.
We got back to the apartment, it was a strange situation, we acted like a couple. We put everything away, I noticed she was very meticulous and organized, she arranged the fridge, and portioned the meats. She was trying to be strong, but she was clearly unwell.
"Arnold, what time is it?" I looked at my watch.
"Four-thirty."
"I have to go, I have class."
"You look bad, Lupe." My hand touched her forehead, it was warm.
"I've already missed a lot of classes."
"Yes, you missed three days already, miss one more."
I went to the table where the medicines were, and as soon as I turned my back, Lupe got dizzy and, trying to grab the kitchen island, knocked over one of the chairs. In two strides, I reached her.
"I don't feel well..."
