Valerie’s p.o v
‘I was going to kill myself’ I did it all, trying to reason with my mum, begging, throwing tantrums .... everything!
Yet I saw myself at the reception side of the hotel, waiting to be checked In.
“You know, anyone who saw you right now would think i just gave you a death sentence” mum said, rolling her eyes at me.
“You know, sometimes I really think you are a selfish person who would do what they want without caring for others and today just proves it!!!” I said collecting my key card from the desk, leaving a shocked receptionist and my mum.
Of course I felt bad, but I was not going to let her know about that.
‘fuck I was being a bitch!’ I kicked myself in the leg mentally as I walked all the way to the pent floor.
Apparently, the hotel was owned by Hades and the bastard just wanted to show off, I was sure of it.
I laid on the bed immediately I went in, sighing at the ceiling. “that was an arsehole thing yo say.” I said out loud to myself.
I knew I was going to chew grass than apologise immediately. “ I’m just going to let things settle for a bit before I apologise.
I laid for a bit deciding it was pointless laying around. If I was going to come to this sort of place that had a view, I was going to very well enjoy it, and what better way to do that than to go to the hotel pool?
**
The hotel pool was quiet, bathed in the warm glow of the late afternoon sun but I could not help but keep the scowl off my face.
The pool was just.....
Boring. It did not seem like there was any thing happening. ‘well, I am already here.’ I convinced myself as I made myself comfortable.
I slipped out of my sandals and dipped my toes in first, savoring the cool relief. The rest of me followed quickly, sinking into the water with a silent sigh. Floating there, weightless, the world seemed quieter. The gentle rhythm of my breath matched the slow lapping of the water against the pool’s edges. For a brief moment, I could pretend that everything outside didn’t exist.
Thar moment was short lived as the sound of someone clearing their throat nearby pulled me from my thoughts. I opened my eyes, instinctively tensing as I saw a man standing at the edge of the pool. His expression was unreadable, but he didn’t seem threatening—just curious, maybe. His dark hair was slicked back, and he wore a casual button-down shirt that was slightly unbuttoned at the collar, as if he’d abandoned formality halfway through getting dressed.
“Mind if I join you?” His voice was deep causing a shiver to run down my spine. It was obvious at this point, I was a sucker for deep voices.
I hesitated, a little unsure but nodded after a moment. It was a public pool, after all, and I didn’t own it.
He took off his shoes and rolled up his pant legs before sitting on the edge, dipping his feet into the water. The silence between us stretched out as I floated nearby, unsure if I should say something or if I even wanted to.
“You look like you’re trying to get away from something,” he said after a long pause. His tone was casual, like he was commenting on the weather, but something in his gaze told me he noticed more than he was letting on.
I blinked, not expecting that level of perceptiveness from a stranger. “You could say that,” I replied, my voice soft, giving off nothing more.
I could not help but notice how much he eyed me, causing me to put a not so obvious distance between us.
“I am Allen.” He introduced, moving a but closer to me and closing up the space I had put between us.
“okay” I said, not wanting to further the conversation.
“look, I don’t want to come off as a pervert but... you look pretty and I am on vacation and I am looking for something easy on the eyes” he took his index finger, dragging my face towards his direction. “what do you say?”
J looked at him for a moment, not having any option than to look at him.
He was actually not bad looking and to make it better, he looked a bit like Kallen. He had soft features and his lips were just as I liked them pink, and ‘surely they are as soft as they look.’ I told myself over and over, “what’s a little vacation without messing around?” I smiled, looking at him with a smirk on my face.
This was my only opportunity to get that bastard off my kind and I was not going to pass it up.
I could see that he very much agreed as he gave me a lazy smile, looking into my eyes for a second one before he m8ved them to my semi exposed cleavage In the bikini I was wearing.
“Here is my room card” he said, slipping it into my swim bra. “6 till evening?” He looked at me, expectations filled his eyes.
I leaned over purposely pressing my breasts to his body.
“I don’t know about you but I don’t do anything short of till dawn” I seemed to have riled him up because I felt him twitch below me.
‘Good. I needed to fuck that Hades of a bastard out of my mind. Maybe this trip was not so bad at all.’ I thought, smiling for a different reason.
“Yeah?” He said, reaching for the shell of my ear before he ...
I was shoved roughly, and found Allen flying into the pool.
“what the-“ i looked up to see Hades with a flared nose. He looked pissed.
Royally so. “what Is the meaning of this?”
