Cerberus p.o v
That definitely was not the smartest thing I could have said as she let the tears out, not holding back any more.
“Its fine, i understand.” She said, making me further confused. “I’ve been trying to play it off hoping that I could earn your trust. My mum might hate me, but she would not lie I know you don’t find me attractive and now that she has said it, it is even more embarrassing. I would just...”
“shut up” I growled. I did not know how to explain what I was feeling but I did not like it, she blaming herself, looking down at herself that way... “You...” I sighed.
What If I said it and she just left ... what she was only using me to feel better?
I stared down at her, looking at her doey eyes.
“You have the prettiest eyes” I started. Looking at her to gauge her reaction.
“Cerberus , I know how I look like, you don’t have to lie to me. I just heard itbaall from my...”
“the first time I met you, I could not help but be captivated with your smile. Your scent does something to me, even though I try to ignore it.” A laugh escaped my mouth without warning.
“I used to think My sire, Hades, was crazy with how he was obsessed with lady Valerie’s scent that was until I experienced it with you.” But now she had stopped crying. She just had this look of disbelief written on her face.
“You may not be the prettiest to others or the skinnier like your mum said. But you are you, and that is enough.” Her face held no emotion which made me panic a bit.
‘Was I saying the wrong things?
Should I just shut the hell up and hold her till she stops crying?’ my mind was going a mile per minute as I watched her watch me with a blank expression.
I straightened my back, about to take my leave to give her some space when she pulled me back, connecting my lips with hers.
This was the second time she had kissed me.
It felt...
Warm.
I felt her shoulders relax as she leaned further into the kiss.
“Thank you” she murmured with her eyes closed. “no one ever stood for me before.” She muttered.
“You don’t have to thank me. I was just telling you the truth.” I felt my body heat up at our close contact.
‘I need to move away’ my mind screamed at me. “well. Breakfast is ruined.” I said, trying to lighten the mood as I tried to force myself to move away, but my body would not obey.
“You called me your lover in front of my mum” she stated, now looking at me with a hidden look. “Do you know what that means?” she said, looking unsure.
Of course I knew what it meant. Scylla had practically drilled it into me as she explained how I could not give up on her.
My soulmate.
My chosen. Not many gods could find that. And I was gifted with it on a platter.
I sighed.
I was still not comfortable with her.
What if she abandoned me again?
What if she left me after gaining the confidence she needed.
As if reading my thoughts, she placed her hands on my clothed chest. But for some reason, The heat of her hands penetrated the clothes.
“You can’t tell me you don’t feel this too, Cerb, this burning passion. How long are you going to ignore me for? I have been patient, going at your pace.” She removed her hand from my chest for a moment.
I looked at her, like really looked at her.
Between the two of us, there was not much of a difference.
I was the abandoned one, the one people did not really think too much about before they abandoned and she?
I did not really know what was going on, but I could feel it. She was either not really given that much attention or was shown love at all.
I could see it, one of my powers to see into people’s lives to know what they did wrong or right in their past.
I did not understood I over looked it the first time, but with Aphrodite coming over, it became more and more glaring.
Her mask slipped.
I was so lost in thought that she took it for lack of interest. I could feel her pull away but physically and emotionally. “I am sorry, I thought you defending me in front of my mum meant we are good now” she looked away from me, not wanting to meet my gaze.
That somehow did not seat fight with me. “I would keep my distance again till you’re comfortable and...” I pulled her close.
I loved the way her lips were trembling.
I felt blood rush down south as I saw how much her lips trembled.
I kissed her, using my tongue to part my lips as she had done to me before.
I seemed to be doing it right since she moaned. She looked at me, panting a bit, then she arched her neck. Exposing it to me.
I stood, feeling lost.
She looked at me after a while, looking at me with a confused expression.
“d...did I misread the room? I just thought that you might want to since you kissed me I am sorry” she said looking ... embarrassed?
“don’t apologise” I ground my teeth. I was starting to get annoyed with how she apologised. “It’s not.” I sighed, feeling the blush rise to my cheeks. It was my turn to look away now. “I just have never done this before, so I don’t know what to do...”
It was silent, but I refused to look her way.
This was it, the moment I crawled into a hole and died from embarrassment.
“You have never..... done it?” She sounded amused and in disbelief.
“not even touched yourself?”
“Only once, when my body Was going through changes when we first met and I did not understand what was going on. My master, Hades... he explained to me how to ... do it”
I felt my eyes burn.
This was the most embarrassing thing that ever happened,
I definitely was ready to drown myself at the river stynx and die.
