I stayed in the garden nose deep in the flowers. “father never let me have something like this.” I said out loud, remembering the time that he found me taking care of a plant instead of out In the fields and it did not go well.
“I would not have given you a garden if I knew that you were going to kill yourself in the garden”
“Hades!” I said looking at him with shock. ‘did he not just leave? What is he doing here?’ I thought, looking at him with wide eyes. “my lord, did.. did you forget something?”
“I came to find out why you have not left this place since I brought you here two days ago”
‘two days!!!’ I thought, trying to hide my shock.
“m..my lord, what do you mean? Of course I have left here since then, I just now…”
“if you are going to lie, do it properly. You are still in the bath robe you used to come here.. his eyes seemed to have lost their colour.
“you stink, have a bath and come meet me for dinner. And don’t even think of being late”
“you can’t even smell me from over there!!” I yelled but he had already gone, and I doubt that he heard a thing I said, making me irritated…
**
It was quite as we shared our meal. It felt as though I was meant to be saying something, or at least have him discuss about his day but that would be awkward, we were not as close to the point of asking such questions
“you seem to either be clueless or you have plans to let me have my way with you” he said, cutting into his steak like he had not made a sinful comment.
I tried to hold back the reaction on my face but that did not go well as the food entered my wind pipe causing me to start a coughing feat.
“wh..at” I wheezed, catching my breath “the heavens…”
“save your breath, don’t get over yourself. You really are not my ideal type remember?” he said, giving a smug look.
“good” I took In a deep breath finally able to breathe properly. “you are not the type of man I would want to be with either.
It was the truth, he was too proud and had a bad mouth to even consider him someone I could be with.
He scoffed the look of disbelief evident on his face. “I see. I guess I am not worthy enough for you” he said In a mocking voice.
“why, are you pained at that?” I raised a brow, daring him to say otherwise.
“far from it, cause I know that if I were to do thing to those cute little buds under that barely covering robe, I would not just be your type, I would be your drug” I forcefully swallowed so that I did not end up choking the second time.
“are you trying to scare me?” I said in the most laid back tone I could muster even though his words made me feel crazy on the inside
“is it working?”
“my lord, if you think I would cower then you might have mistaken, I do not fear you”
“then, I must be doing something wrong” he said, his eyes fixed on my chest before they went back to my face. I had this adrenaline rush, feeling me up, I eyed him up and down, literally removing every last piece of clothing of his with my eyes.
“really? And what would you do to make it ‘right?’, that I fear you”
“first, that robe… I would unwrap it carefully, like you would a piece of cake and…”
Before he could continue, a tall man entered, he wore an emotionless expression. His skin a little tanned his gaze met mine with a cool, assessing look. His eyes were a deep, piercing shade of blue, almost otherworldly in their intensity. His features were strong, chiseled, and undeniably attractive, yet there was something wild in them, something untamed. He was a man, yes, but there was something more primal
For a moment, I was caught off guard by his presence. There was an undeniable magnetism about him, a raw, masculine energy that drew me in. But as I looked closer, I realized that, for all his rugged beauty, he was not Hades.
He did not have those striking grey eyes or the deathly roguish charm that Hades had
“Valerie,” Hades’ voice broke through my thoughts, drawing my attention away from Cerberus. He looked pissed.
“yes?” I answered half heartedly
“I said, you may return to the room if you are done with your meal” he said, looking at me with … anger?
‘what did I do to piss him off now?’ I sighed as I stood up.
“I would be goi-“ I was stopped in my tracks as he, Cerberus kissed my cheeks.
