83. Slightly Sensitive

Angel was seen sitting relaxed on a sofa in the pool area, himer eyes focused on the wedding decoration catalog on her lap. Occasionally she flipped through the pages of the catalogue, sometimes her brow furrowed slightly.

"Everything is so beautiful, I'm confused about which one to choose," muttered Angel as she hugged the catalog book, sighing as she leaned back.

She stared at the calm pool water, smiling sadly as she thought back to her best friend who had died. "Usually Bella always helps me choose everything. Even though she is known as an old-fashioned girl, she always has good taste."

Angel took a deep breath again, she still didn't feel like she was willing to lose the person she loved so much, especially because it was all caused by hers. The guilt was still there, still very tightly attached to her heart.

"I'm sorry, Bella… I never should have involved you." Angel's eyes closed, holding back the feeling of tightness that was starting to hit her chest.

"Darling...."

Angel tiptoed in surprise at the soft call, her eyes opened reflexively. She blinked rapidly, trying to ward off the clear liquid in her eyelids that was ready to spill. "Ah yes...."

"Hey, what are you doing here alone?" Erick asked as he sat beside Angel.

"I'm looking at examples of decorations for our wedding." Angel flashed a gentle smile, holding out the catalog towards Erick.

Instead of taking a look, Erick gently brushed the catalog book aside. "Have you chosen it?"

"I'm confused, so I need your opinion too."

Erick smiled gently with his gaze fixed on the beautiful face in front of him. "It's up to you. Whatever you choose, it will be my choice too."

"It can't be like that," Angel narrowed her eyes with an expression of displeasure. "We're both married, but why does it seem like I'm the only one excited? You don't seem to care!"

"I really care, darling..." Erick cupped both sides of Angel's face gently. "I want this wedding to be according to your dreams, so-"

"Just my dream," Angel interrupted with a crooked smile, even slapping Erick's hand roughly. "You say as if you are really forced to marry me."

"What do you mean, Angel?!" Erick's eyes narrowed sharply. "I love you, don't you still understand that?!"

Angel got up, her eyes already looking blurry. "Your lips always say that, but your actions are very different."

"Angel!"

Angel stomped her feet, walked quickly away from Erick with all her emotions, she even let her wedding decoration catalog just fall.

Erick took a deep breath. He picked up the catalogue, began to open it page by page. Slowly his lips formed a small smile, feeling that there was a strange feeling stirring in his heart.

"I never thought about marriage like this before, and now suddenly I want it too."

On the other hand, Angel appeared to enter the living room with a bright red face. She landed buttocks on Mrs. Matthew is playing with baby Erlena.

"What's wrong with you, Angel?" asked Mrs. Matthew frowned.

"It would be better if my marriage to Erick was cancelled."

Suddenly Mrs. Matthew glared sharply. "Don't be weird, Angel... what do you mean?!"

"He never really wanted this wedding, Mom!" Angel shouted, her voice intonation rising one octave.

"Angel, don't make things up. Erick really loves you and wants this marriage. He has tried to give you the best," said Mrs. Matthew with a firm look.

"Aauuuummmm..." said baby Erlena as if agreeing with her grandmother's words.

"Everything he does is just a formality, Mom... Mommy knows, I have to choose everything myself. He has no desire to give an opinion or anything, as if he really isn't interested in this marriage!"

Mrs. Matthew took a deep breath, one hand reached out to gently hold Angel's hand. "Erick is a man, Angel... he will definitely accept what you choose. Your father used to be like that too."

Angel snorted with a crooked smile. "Mommy, why do you always defend him?! And don't ever equate that cold man with your father who is always warm."

Instead of getting angry, Mrs. Matthew actually chuckled softly. She pinched her daughter's cheek in exasperation. "That cold man is your future husband, the father of your daughter, and the only man you love. Isn't that what it is?"

"He's so annoying!"

"Forgive me." Suddenly Erick appeared with a catalog book in hand.

"Ah, looks like you should take a nap, my darling," said Mrs. Matthew while lifting baby Erlena's body. "Grandma will put you to sleep in your room."

Mrs. Matthew just walked away. She is already very healthy, so she doesn't need the help of another wheelchair to walk.

Now Erick sat next to Angel, positioning himself facing the woman. He smiled gently when he saw Angel's sullen face. "Sorry if I'm insensitive, darling... I just thought about giving you the freedom to choose anything for our wedding."

"But you don't seem to care!" Angel replied with her eyes heating up again.

"I really care," replied Erick, one hand gently stroking her cheek. "I want the best for our marriage."

"Liar, you just-"

"I already have a choice," interrupted Erick as he held out the catalog book, opening it to the desired page. "It looks like this decoration is very beautiful."

Angel seemed to glance at the photo Erick was pointing at. The decoration that Erick chose was a wedding party decoration outside the building, carrying a natural concept with flowers as a guardrail leading to the altar. There are thousands of small lights stretched across the ceiling, looking like stars which adds to the romantic impression. Overall, this picture really shows the soul of Erick Cullen.

"I want our wedding to feel warm and blend in with nature. Not many decorations but still look beautiful. However, this is just my opinion, you can choose the design-"

"I agree," Angel interrupted quickly, her dim eyes suddenly sparkling brightly again. "I like this decoration."

Erick smiled wider. "We can hold a party in our backyard, inviting only the closest people to this important event."

Angel nodded, slowly a smile began to form on her lips. "Yes, I agree."

"Aren't you angry anymore?" Erick teased, closing the distance between their faces even more.

Angel pursed her lips, hitting Erick's chest with her fist. "You always make me angry."

"Actually, I'm also confused, why have you become more sensitive lately, hm?"

"I'm not the sensitive one, but you are the one who is always annoying," replied Angel, her lips still pursed.

"I want to bite your lips."

"Don't-"

And as usual, Erick immediately grabbed Angel's lips. But this time he actually bit the woman's lower lip in exasperation. Not just once, but several times, making Angel frustrated.

"Don't play with me!" Angel protested irritably.

Erick chuckled amusedly, pulling Angel's face again quickly. This time he kissed her lips gently, up and down alternately without pause. He always liked the softness of Angel's lips, and never got bored even though he kissed her a million times.
