Chapter 117 Finally Taken

Chapter 117 Finally Taken
Serena's POV

It was so tiny, so perfectly round. It fitted neatly between my eyes, but not the way I wanted.

I froze, raising my hands instinctively as my pants nearly watered.

A man, masked and covered just like the rest, stood barely a foot from me with this gun pointed to my face.

He must be with them as he matched perfectly with them.

I instinctively tried to step back but my feet met the log of wood I was hiding behind.

The man gestured to me to keep shut and come to him, that's when I turned and noticed that Dante hadn't seen him.

I panicked slightly as I thought of the best way to get out of this situation with my head intact.

But walking over to him quietly wasn't an option I was willing to take.

The man began advancing towards me slowly with his hand still gesturing to me to come to him.

I pressed my back against the tree and thought quickly on what to do. I feared that if I'd shouted then, he would just put a bullet through me and I didn't want to die.

But as he got closer, I realized that I was the prize here, they wanted me alive, not dead.

Figures why the other 3 stopped and haven't shot a single bullet, choosing to rather thrash talk Dante, distracting him.

And as the man got pretty close, I turned and shouted. “Dante! Help!”

I tried to run afterwards but he was quicker, he grabbed my hand roughly and pulled me against him, wrapping a hand around my neck and putting a gun to my head.

Dante turned immediately, skipped the tree and stood with his gun pointed towards him, or me, or us.

“Let her go!” He barked.

“Be smart here, Mr. Russo. Put your gun down,” the man holding me snarled.

But Dante wasn't having any of it. From the other side, Nico stood alone now with the other three pointing their guns at him.

“Don,” he whispered as he looked all tensed up.

“No, Nico,” Dante replied in a way that spoke volumes. He was struggling to accept this defeat.

But he was outnumbered now, his men were mostly down and what he fought to protect, me actually, is now standing in the enemy's hands.

“Do what's right, Mr. Russo. We don't need the blood of the Russo family head on our hands, don't force our hands,” one of the men said calmly from behind Dante.

I could tell he wasn't ready to give up, but even with my little experience, I knew this moment was against him.

“Yes, Mr. Russo. We don't need your blood on our hands,” the man holding me whispered before leaning in closer to me and licking my cheek.

“Don’t you dare!” Dante yelled and pointed the gun threateningly at him with his hand vibrating out of anger.

“Or what, Mr. Russo?” He smiled and licked my jawline again.

I felt his dick hardening against my ass and I gagged inside.

“It's such a pretty thing you had in your hands, shame we have to hand her over. I could imagine a few ways to make her scream,” he added in a low whisper and his hand running down my waist.

I wanted to kick him where it would hurt, but he still had that barrel pointing to my head, so all I could do was shake uncomfortably.

Dante immediately shot a bullet to a tree by our side and the man lifted his hand defensively.

The men behind him tensed up and lifted their guns at once.

“Mr. Russo,” one called from behind. “Crow, behave, that's not why we are here,” he added, looking towards us.

The man nodded but still rubbed his crotch against my ass slightly. I felt grossed and shifted away from him as much as I could.

“Let's go,” the same man said from behind Dante and the one holding me began stepping back slightly, guiding me back and around Dante who followed us with his gun raised.

He turned me round all the way to the van as we retraced our steps with us now facing Dante and backing the van.

The side of the van had already been open and one of the men stepped into the van, stepping back out with locks.

Dante looked furious, holding his gun in shaky hands as he grimaced at the sight.

He then proceeded to strap my hands to my back, then my feet.

“I'm sorry, Mr. Russo,” the one who sounded like he was in charge said before they lifted me into the van, sitting me down on a bench while everyone got in.

One got into the passenger’s seat while one joined me and the pervert at the back. At least I was safe from him.

The one who looked to be in charge lingered outside, staring at Dante and Nico who still had their guns pointed but at this point, it looked like they just couldn't drop their hands.

The leader guy dropped his gun to his side and shook his head.

“Don't come after us, Mr. Russo. It's over,” he muttered and jumped into the driver's seat.

The door closed slowly and I watched with my eyes low as Dante stood shaking at the other end.

Our eyes met for a brief second before the door closed completely and the van kicked into drive.

“Let's go home, Mrs. Moretti,” the leader guy called from in front and drove off.

Dante's POV

I couldn't put the gun down, nor could I pull the trigger.

I could only watch as they hauled Serena into their van, and with a defeated look, I just stared.

Even when our eyes met briefly before the door closed, I felt the fear in her eyes and it hurt more that I couldn't do anything.

It hurt that all I could do was watch, all I could do was point my gun helplessly without a single shot.

Even after the van had gone out of sight, I didn't shoot, I still couldn't come face to face with the fact that after everything, after all the losses, the deaths, the money, I had lost.

Luca had won, he had gotten Serena and there was nothing I could do to stop them after a master plan and execution.

“Don,” I heard Nico call from beside me and I slowly lowered my gun to my side.

“We have to find them, we have to get her back,” I muttered in response.

“We will,” Nico replied.

“Before she gets into Luca's hands,” I added without turning to him.

“How are we going to do that? We are in the middle of the woods with no ride and no trace to follow back,” Nico complained.

“Try reaching out to the men, at least find out who's still alive,” I muttered gravely.

Nico nodded and turned away to make a few calls, but what I kept hearing was, “hello, shit. You there? Anyone left?”

I began to lose hope with every call, till I heard a familiar voice.
