Chapter 162: Epilogue
*Epilogue*
Nathan
I looked around at the small group of bikers that were gathered around me at the rest area approximately a mile outside of the cult sect that currently had Miriela housed within its walls. Cobra and I had faded back when she arrived at this one, content that, with its lower security and patrolling men, we could sneak in, eliminate all of the bastards, and get the women out with the six men we had with us. I half listened to Cobra lay out the plan to them while my fingers flexed around the dagger in my hand. Nobody was using guns tonight. We couldn’t risk alerting the men that also resided in the sect to our presence. From our drone surveillance, we only picked up on thirteen men and over two dozen women. I hated that this place was where they sent ‘difficult women’ to be ‘broken.’ Miriela definitely didn’t need to be here. From what I had seen, she was fully under their control, and it pissed me the fuck off.
“Nathan, is there anything that I missed?” Cobra asked, drawing my attention back to the present.
I straightened up as I looked around at each of them. “Miriela is mine. I will kill the bastard that has her. You focus on everyone else. I want all of their blood spilled by the end of the night.” I reached up to pull my mask on. “Be as silent as the darkness,” I ordered before turning around to head into the woods that allow us to get to the sect without being noticed.
I was vaguely aware of Cobra creeping along behind me. I was glad that he had left Mallory at home. He usually allowed her to be close, but because she was so close to delivering Marley’s and John’s child, he had left her at home with Carly to watch over her while we came to end this sect. I was even more pleased that after we brought down these fuckers and rescued Miriela, the bikers would go back to all of the other sects and bring them down too. I let out a slow, deep breath as I stood in the shadows, watching and timing the camera’s swivel on top of the wall meant to keep intruders out.
After a few moments, I quickly scaled the tree I was near before climbing over the wall, dropping silently onto the other side. Less than three minutes later, all seven bikers were standing next to me, waiting for the okay to move out. I shifted the dagger in my hand as I glared at the house in the distance that the main male lived in with most of the women. The bikers’ job was to kill the cult members while Cobra and I went straight for the main house, where Miriela was being held. I took a deep breath before sprinting toward the house, being extra careful to stay in the shadows, flitting from house to house in my desire not to get caught before I got to the house.
When I reached the house, I leaned against the wall for a moment, trying to catch my breath before I went inside. Little whimpers mixed with sounds of distress drew me to the backyard, where my body went cold as I looked over the two dozen women who were chained to stakes in the ground by metal dog collars attached to heavy chains. I quickly scanned the women, searching for Miriela before I let out a shaky breath when I didn’t see her. I turned my head, glaring at the house. That meant she was somewhere inside being forced to do something only God knew what.
I walked back around to the front where I checked the door, not surprised in the slightest that it was unlocked. Of course these assholes thought they were invincible. Tonight would teach them otherwise. I crept inside with Cobra close behind me, intent on finding the bastard so I could eliminate him before I searched for Miriela. As I was slowly moving up the stairs, a cry of agony filled the air, making me drop the caution as I raced up the stairs. At the top of them, I looked around the hallway, trying to figure out which closed door hid Miriela.
“That’s it, you little whore. Scream for me,” a man grunted before the sound of flesh hitting flesh led me down the hallway.
“MASTER!” Miriela screamed, making me move back a room to press my ear against the door.
Once I was certain that I was standing outside of the correct one, I silently turned the doorknob before slowly pushing it open, praying that they weren’t looking at it. When her screams carried on, I pushed it open the rest of the way before stepping into the room. My blood boiled at the sight of a naked, blindfolded Miriela restrained to the bed while the bastard slowly cut into her skin. I crept across the room, raising the dagger in my hand as I approached him from behind. Cobra slipped between us before I could bring it down into the man’s back, grabbing the man to pull him away from Miriela.
“What the—”
His words were cut off when I buried the blade in his neck. Cobra dropped him to the floor, where I immediately sank to my knees beside him to repeatedly stab him until he lay there with his eyes staring up at me lifeless. I stood up, panting hard as I started to strip my bloody clothes off. Cobra pulled a plastic grocery bag out of his small backpack to hand to me before leaving the room. I quickly found some clothes in the man’s closet before changing and carefully packing my bloodied clothes into the grocery bag. I went back over to the bed, where I quickly unhooked Miriela before checking her over. After I was sure she would be okay, I left her side again to go back over to the closet to get her some clothes. I got her dressed before picking her up along with the bag and walked out of the room, only stopping long enough to find Cobra to give him my bag before leaving the house.
As I walked down the street with her in my arms, I was vaguely aware of the soft voices of the bikers talking to the women behind the house. By the time I reached the gates, they were open, and I walked through them without hesitation. When I got back to the rest area, I gently placed her in my car before kneeling beside her. I removed her blindfold, eliciting a shocked gasp from her before she flinched as if afraid that I was going to hit her. I reached up to tuck her hair behind her ear.
“Miriela, my name is Nathan. I am going to take you somewhere safe, okay?” I told her softly.
She lowered her eyes. “Okay,” she whispered almost silently.
I got her situated in my car with a blanket over her before gently closing the door and walking around to the other side of the car. She remained silent and still as we drove, only moving when we stopped at the gas station and I took her inside to use the bathroom. I drove for 16 hours straight to reach our destination. I needed to get her showered and resting in a bed where she could get the medical care that she so obviously needed. When we finally arrived, I got out immediately to lift her out of the car to carry her over to the speaker on the wall. Before I could even press the button, the gates started to open, revealing a familiar face. He grimaced when he saw Miriela.
“I’ve been expecting you. Welcome to Eden.”
