Chapter 97: Daddy Dominant's Good Girl

“Can’t you just forgive Daddy?” Ken asked when my phone went dead.

Ellis didn’t even give me a chance to respond. He was just coming over and not giving me a choice.

I sighed and glanced at my son. He had his arms crossed and was glaring at me with a little scowl. It was more adorable than angry, but I hid my smile.

“I’m not mad at him,” I told Ken.

“Then why did we move away from him?” Ken asked, a small whine in his voice.

“We’re just giving him some space,” I explained. I wasn’t sure if he really understood what that meant.

Sighing, I headed over to the bed and sat down beside Ken. I placed my hand on his shoulder.

“Daddy is so nice. He always gives me whatever I want and he loves us both. He says he wants you to be happy all the time. He wants us to be a family. Isn’t that what you want?” he asked.

“I do, but I want it for the right reasons,” I said. I pinched Ken’s cheek affectionately. He giggled and turned away from me.

Knock. Knock.

I heard a muffled knock on Jenny’s front door. The movie was paused again and I heard Jenny speaking softly. The deep voice that responded quietly was unmistakably Ellis’.

Patting Ken’s head, I got him tucked back in while Jenny tried to talk to Ellis. I couldn’t hear what they were saying and I needed to talk to Ellis without Ken jumping in.

“Wait here for me, okay?” I asked. I kissed his forehead and left the bedroom.

Jenny was standing in the kitchen with Ellis. They were on opposite sides of the kitchen. Ellis wore a plain mask of features and Jenny had her back turned, busying herself with some mundane cleaning project.

“Jenny, can we have a minute?” I asked.

She glanced over her shoulder at me and nodded. With a quick wave to Ellis, she retreated into her bedroom and closed the door.

Ellis flicked his eyes at me and crossed his arms. I couldn’t tell what he was thinking. Was he angry? Was he upset?

I sighed heavily and sat down at the kitchen table. “I’m sorry I left without saying anything. I just wanted you to make your own decision without feeling pressured.”

“I’d already made my decision, and told you that,” Ellis muttered.

I shook my head. “Please understand, Nancy was the first person to have your heart. She’ll always mean something to you. It is okay if you need some time to figure out where your heart really wants to be.”

Ellis pursed his lips and stood straighter. He glared at me lightly and then strode past me into Jenny’s apartment.

“Ellis,” I called after him.

He went straight to the guest bedroom without answering me and went in.

Ken immediately jumped up and hugged him. “Daddy!”

Ellis patted his back and then pulled out our suitcases. Without a word, he packed our things.

“What’s going on?” Ken asked, coming to my side.

“I don’t know,” I said, honestly. I patted his head.

Ellis nodded for us to follow him as he took our suitcases and headed to the apartment door again.

Jenny rushed out of her bedroom. “Are you leaving?” she asked.

“I guess so,” I sighed.

“Can we get the cookies I made for Daddy?” Ken asked Jenny.

She smiled and nodded. Jenny got the container of cookies from her counter and handed them to Ken.

He wrapped his arms around the container and clutched it to his chest.

“Thank you, Jenny,” I said. “I’ll call you later.”

“You better,” she said, touching my arm briefly.

We followed Ellis out to the car he had parked in front of Jenny’s apartment building.

Ellis was packing our bags into the trunk. He just got into the car.

I got Ken into his booster seat in the back. Ellis had put one in when we’d moved in and he’d started driving Ken to school.

When I got in the passenger seat, I looked at Ellis, his hands were gripped tightly around the steering wheel, knuckles white.

He still didn’t speak.

The ride was silent. Even Ken picked up on the tense mood and stayed quiet.

I looked out the window at the night city lights whizzing by. It didn’t take me long to realize we were headed back to the Peterson mansion. Ellis was bringing us back to his place.

I didn’t argue. I just kept looking out the window.

Ken fell asleep in the back seat. When we got to the mansion, Ellis got Ken out of the back seat and a butler came out to fetch our bags.

Ellis carried Ken and I followed back to the bedroom Ken had settled into. Ellis put him down on the bed and tucked him in.

Even though he was upset or angry, he was still tender with Ken. He stepped back and I moved in to kiss Ken’s forehead.

We left Ken’s room, my son softly snoring as Ellis shut the door.

I started walking down the hall but Ellis grabbed my arm.

“Ugh,” I grunted as I was pulled back.

His fingers were a vice around my arm. I thought he was angry so I struggled.

Ellis pulled me to him, burying my face in his chest as he wrapped his arms around me in a fierce embrace. He let out a long, deep sigh.

I could practically feel the tension rising off of him.

“I thought you were going to disappear again,” he whispered into my hair, his voice cracking slightly.

I could hear Ellis’s heart hammer in his chest against my cheek. His arms enveloped me like a blanket.

“I couldn’t find you and I missed you. It was like the time you vanished five years ago, all over again,” he explained.

Slowly, I brought my arms around him too.

He was squeezing me so hard that I could barely breathe. I’d never seen him so distraught and desperate.

“When you were gone, I missed you so much. I was lonely without you and needed to get you back. I felt that again when I found out you’d left the mansion,” he continued.

Ellis had always been composed and in control. I’d never seen him lose it. He’d fought his son and street thugs to protect me, he’d been stabbed, and through it all, he was strong, professional, and cool.

Now, he was vulnerable.

The wall I’d built around my heart crumbled and I eased. I collapsed my weight against Ellis, falling into his arms. He still hugged me just as tightly but it didn’t hurt anymore, and I clung to him with the same urgency.

If he really missed me this much, after one day, how had he been the past five years?

Shaking my head, I pushed the thoughts away. I nuzzled into his chest, breathing in his rich scent. I didn’t want to think about that. I just wanted him to hold me.

I sighed softly. “What do you even like about me, Ellis? I’m just an ordinary girl. You’ve met so many people, and seen some amazing things. Why do you hold onto me?”

Ellis pulled away from me. We kept our arms locked around each other but I looked up into his eyes. They were soft and emotional. It almost looked like he could cry, but I knew he never would.

His eyes searched mine and he smiled softly. His hands moved soothingly up and down my back.

“I asked myself that same question several times over the past five years,” he admitted.

I chewed my lower lip and looked away from him. I had been expecting him to give me a solid answer. If he didn’t even know why he wanted me, what was it we were doing?

Ellis grabbed my chin and tipped my face up so I had to look at him. He smirked, his eyes lighting up.

“I wish I had an answer if only to keep myself from going crazy without you by my side,” he murmured. Ellis ran his free hand through my hair, letting the strands slip through his fingers like water.

I gasped and curled my fingers around his shirt. Maybe I didn’t need an answer. If he felt like he’d lose his mind without me, wasn’t that answer enough?

Tears pricked my eyes and I was overwhelmed with a feeling of love and affection.

Grabbing his shirt for leverage, I pulled myself up on tiptoes and crashed my lips into his.

Ellis tensed for a moment, then curled his hand around the back of my head and pulled me against him.

I moaned as his other hand slid up the back of my shirt and his fingers started to circle around my lower back.

He backed me against the nearest wall, lips moving fervently against mine.

I wrapped my arms around his neck and rolled my body against his.

“Mmm,” Ellis moaned against my lips.

I could feel the bulge in his pants growing as I rolled my body against him.

He grabbed my hips with a growl and nipped at my lower lip.

“You’re feisty tonight, aren’t you?” he teased.

“Maybe you should take me somewhere more private and find out,” I suggested. I darted my tongue out, flicking it against Ellis’ lips and the tip of his nose.

He let loose a dark, raspy chuckle and grabbed my wrist.

Half dragging me, Ellis hurried down the hallway.

I skipped along after him. My stomach fluttered and I was full of giddiness.

Ellis pushed his bedroom door open and pulled me inside.

My stomach dropped to my feet when he grabbed me from behind. He wrapped his arms around my waist and pulled my back to his chest. Ellis thrust his hips forward, grinding his hard c*ck against my a*s. He growled in my ear.

“Mmm,” I moaned, pushing my hips back against his arousal.

My legs trembled and I clenched my thighs around the growing heat between my legs.

Ellis slipped his hands under my shirt and ran them up my sides. I shuddered, my skin flaring with heat.

He pressed his lips to my ear and murmured huskily, “I want you Olivia Richardson. You and only you, forever.”

My heart thudded in my chest and I was frozen for a moment.

“Eeeck!” I screamed when he scooped me in his arms, my feet flying out from under me.

Ellis chuckled and carried me the rest of the way to the bed. He dropped me down and immediately covered my body with his.

I moaned and writhed under him.

His eyes burned into me and he smirked hungrily.

I was the only thing on the menu.
