Chapter 508: The Result is Set
Holly was both amused and exasperated by Eddy.
"Alright, alright, just hurry up and leave."
Eddy quickly shook his head.
"No, no, no, I misspoke. How could I leave? If I leave, wouldn't that mean my future wife is gone?"
Eddy finally realized that Holly didn't actually mean to break up with him.
Otherwise, why would she stand here and say so much?
Holly pursed her lips, her eyes filled with laughter.
Now that's more like it.
"It was wrong of me to deceive you before," Eddy said sincerely, taking Holly's hand with a hopeful look in his eyes. "Our relationship shouldn't be mixed with so many external factors. Now that our previous collaboration is over, then..."
"Holly, would you be willing to accept my pursuit again and be my girlfriend?"
When they first got together, it was both rushed and perfunctory.
Holly's cheeks turned slightly red, and she gave a light cough.
"Alright, I'll reluctantly give you this chance."
Eddy breathed a sigh of relief and quickly pulled her into his arms.
God knows how nervous he was when he heard Holly's words just now.
He thought Holly really didn't want him anymore.
"Whose suitcase is that? Whose suitcase is rolling away?"
Eddy turned around and saw, "Oh no! It's mine!"
The Miller Mansion was dimly lit with only a few stars visible.
Soon, the sound of two footsteps and Luann's clear voice complaining could be heard: "My feet are killing me."
Luann usually didn't like wearing high heels, and today she had worn them for so long, with particularly high heels, it was really a bit much for her.
Myron looked guilty and quickly squatted down to find Luann's slippers.
"Quick, put these on."
As he spoke, he gently held Luann's ankle.
Luann couldn't help but sigh, "Beautiful things always come with a price."
When she saw these shoes in the dressing room, her eyes widened in amazement.
She had seen many beautiful shoes, but these still made her heart race.
Aren't these the glass slippers from fairy tales?
Myron smiled gently.
"Yes, hurry upstairs and take a bath, get some rest."
"Yeah, I'm a bit tired," Luann shrugged lightly, "What about you?"
"I'm going to talk to Jones."
"Okay."
Myron knocked on the study door.
There was no response from inside.
He reached out and gently pushed the door open.
By the light streaming in from the window, he could see someone sitting on the sofa.
The person's entire body was hidden in the darkness, slightly tense.
Myron walked over and sat across from him.
Something was placed on the table.
"Take this."
It was the key that Jones had returned.
Myron's voice was low.
"Luann and I are in love with each other, you don't need to think of this as a transaction where I bought her from the Miller family."
"She just married me, we formed a new family, it doesn't mean she'll be bound by me, Myron, from now on."
"She is an independent individual, no one has the right to interfere with her."
Jones remained silent.
Myron continued, his voice not loud, even a bit soft.
But to Jones, it felt as heavy as a thousand pounds.
"I know, Luann means a lot to you, you've put in a lot of effort over the years."
"You could even give up the Miller family to ensure her happiness for the rest of her life."
"I feel the same way."
"You should be happy, happy that there's another person who can take care of her."
Jones's mouth opened slightly, his dry voice sounding a bit harsh.
"You finally got what you wanted."
Myron shook his head.
"If I really wanted to get what I wanted, there are many ways to do it, I wouldn't choose to talk to you like this."
Jones's shoulders shook slightly, a bit mockingly.
"You only want to talk to me because Luann is part of the Miller family."
Myron raised an eyebrow.
"That's enough."
"You raised her, she respects you, and so do I."
"Father."
Jones's body trembled.
He looked at him in disbelief.
Swallowed hard.
Although he didn't want to admit it, having the boss of RH call him father was incredibly exciting!
"Don't think you can get rid of me with just a few words!" Jones's tone was sharp.
Myron chuckled, "From now on, the Miller family and RH are one. You can use anything from RH as you please."
"Trying to buy me off with benefits? Do I look like someone who can be easily bought?" Jones sneered.
Myron's fingers touched his chin.
As if he thought of something.
"Oh right, Luann hasn't told you yet, the company that's been opposing you for years is mine."
"Looks like you'll have one less competitor in business from now on."
Jones's mouth twitched.
Oh my God!
After saying that, Myron got up and walked out, leaving him some time to think.
As soon as he left, a slapping sound echoed in the room.
"Why did I keep obstructing them!"
Jones's current mood could only be described as regret.
"If I hadn't obstructed them, Myron wouldn't have used RH's identity to pressure me, making me, at my age, have to bow to him."
"If I had known, I wouldn't have let Luann investigate the Curtis family."
"Now, even Luann is involved!"
Jones looked at the key on the table, feeling both happy and sad.
"Someone come here!"
A servant walked in from outside.
"What are your orders, Jones?"
Jones's face was stern, his teeth grinding.
"Has Williams woken up?"
The servant shook his head, "Not yet."
Jones said, "When he wakes up, tell him to buy back the vase he broke three days ago, exactly as it was! If one is missing, he'll spend a day in the small dark room!"
He didn't dare to settle the score with Myron.
So he could only take it out on Williams!
"Yes."
Jones continued to ask, "Has Adolph returned?"
"He's in the living room on the first floor."
"From now on, Williams's authority in the Miller family will be temporarily handed over to Adolph," Jones said.
"Yes."
Adolph showed no surprise when he heard the message.
This time, Williams had made Jones lose a lot of face.
On the contrary, he had helped a lot.
The servant paused and continued, "By the way, Adolph, Jones asked me to give you a message."
"What is it?" Adolph listened intently, could there be more good news?
The servant said, "Jones said, since the responsibility falls on you, do a good job. Otherwise, he'll bring up the fact that you knew about Myron's identity and didn't report it, and settle that score."
Adolph fell silent.
As expected!
He couldn't hide it from Jones!
