I walked into the closet and chose a black pants suit. I was sitting at the vanity when the door opened and he came in.
“Don’t you ever knock?”
He didn't answer, he walked over and stood behind me. He put the phone onto the vanity. “All the numbers are there; Jules is with you wherever you go. My family will be here in thirty minutes with her; do you want to speak to them?” he asked.
“No, i’ll handle it later. I am heading out, can i leave?”
He leaned forward, and his thumb was tracing my nape. “You can do anything you want, except.” He stopped his hands, closing around my throat. “Letting other men close.” He saw, his voice so low and cold, it scared me for a second.
“I have no interest in men or relationships.”
“Good Girl.” he said standing straight. After i finished applying the makeup, i stood up and looked at him. He grabbed my hand and placed the box inside. “Wear this for now?” he said. I opened it and found a diamond ring.

I cant be close to her, i needed to stay far away from her. I had a plan and that plan was to have my grandmother step down as the head of the Ferro family. Her decisions were no longer beneficial to the family and the business and this supposed marriage with Blair Rhodes was never happening.
She had no idea what she signed , she just signed a fucking marraige certificate making her my legal wife, she didnt even bat an eyelid when she signed that name. I grabbed her out of reflex,I didn't expect her to fucking moan.
She wanted to find the old man that came to beg on her behalf. I was sitting in the living room when I saw her walking down the stairs, and every cell in my fucking body went haywire. She was wearing one of the outfits i had picked out for her, her hair was open and she was wearing makeup.
She looked exactly like what I intended for her to become. She left here a prey and returned a predator. When she came down, she turned and looked at me. Her movements were graceful.
“I’ll be back in a few hours; Jules will be with me. Let me know when the house is empty.” she said. I knew she was angry at me and i preferred that.
“That ring goes on you left hand”
She looked at me and pulled the ring off and put it back on, on her left hand, her ring finger. He had no idea that ring she was casually pulling off was wort one million or it was her wedding ring. She left without another word.
“Sir, the Madam had left without having lunch” Maria said
“It’s fine; she has business to tend to. My family will be here also Blair Rhodes. You know what to do right?”
“Yes, Master Ferro, it’s already prepared.” She said.
I was going through some mergers when I saw the cars come in. I heard the slamming of the door, and they came in one by one.
“Nikolai, the time si sup today your intended fiancee is here.” My grandmother said taking a seat. My parents walked in, Anabella, and Pedro, i guess my siblings didn't want to be here. My fathers brother and his wife and His sister and her husband. My cousins Julian, Stefan and Gia the gossip was here.
Alistair and Vivian Rhodes walked in with their daughter behind them.
“Mr. Rhodes, Mrs. Rhodes, have a seat,” the old lady said to them.
“Hello everyone,” she said in a sickly sweet voice that made my stomach churn.
They had the nerve to sit here and arrange a marriage for their daughter when they sold the one who they already used and abused.
“Thank you, Madam Ferro. So an engagement date…..”
I cut Alistair off. “I don't want to get engaged to someone that isn't compatible and waste everyone’s time…” I looked at Alistair.
“The price you sent was useless and i had to get rid of it.” I saw his eyes go wide, and his wife nudged him.
“What do you propose, Mr. Ferro?” Alistair asked.
“I propose she stays here for six months and if we are compatible then we’ll proceed with the engagement.”
“Perfect, She will move in today and you too get to know each other” The old lady said smiling. I let them talk it out. All she did was sit there and smile.
After two hours the Rhodes left, saying they would prepare Blair to return. My grandmother and the others were discussing the Rhodes girl when my phone vibrated. Jules texted saying they were about to head back.
“I have matters to attend to; you can carry on your discussion at home, and as for this engagement matter, I would prefer to know of your intention to visit my home beforehand.” I said standing up and walking out and heading to my office.
Ten minutes later i saw all the cars leaving and the Black SUV coming in. ABout ten minutes after the car drove in, Jules came into the office.
“What?”
“The madam went to find Jacob Lions the old Buttler. From bits and pieces of the conversation I overheard. They found out he came to visit you. I’m not sure what happened, but apparently he had borrowed money from them for his daughter’s surgery and had put his house up. They took it away and he has been living on the street. The madam went shopping, found a modest motel and rented a room for him, she bough clothes supplies and gave him some cash and promised to return another day.” "Jules said," and I nodded.
After he left i sat there, I wondered if she would ever ask me for anything?. I gave her five credit card, ten million on each. When i left my office i found her at the dining table eating. I figured she would eat out.
I made my way over and Maria brought my food to me.
“Can i ask you fro something?” She asked halfway through the meal.
“What?”
“A house. A small house, with an open space to plant a small garden, preferably on the edge of Riverside.” She said, i stopped eating and looked at her but she didn't look up. She wanted to get him settled.
“He… Jacob was the only one I had in all those years and they…” She stopped.
I figured he was the one that gave her meals. Five years ago he came to me, the one they called Hades, to beg on her behalf. At that time I thought he was exaggerating, but now I realize he was her savior in those dark years.
“I’ll have it done within the month.”
“Thank you.”
This was the first time she had ever said that. I continued eating , after she finished dating she left. Before she even made it back to her room, I had already sent a message to Blake, my assistant, to get it all sorted out.
