CHAPTER 281

CHAPTER 281

VIOLET'S POV

I stopped paying attention to the loud noise around me when I realized the fading scent of my daughter and her mate. I turned around the room.

“Where are they?” I muttered, hitting Reed's arm repeatedly so he would stop talking. “WHERE ARE THEY?!”

“They've gone,” the little witch I owed my daughter's life to on numerous occasions whispered.

“You knew about this, didn't you!?” I turned my fury towards her, her eyes widened in fear but I didn't care.

“I came here the second I came out of the vision Your Majesty!” She exclaimed in a shrill voice that made me angrier.

“That's what you want us to believe,” I doubled down, “but you watched her leave without trying to stop them. You stand there and you're telling me to sit here while my child and her mate go to get themselves killed! Did Vlad send you to us?!”

“No! Your majesty I swear I'm on your side,” she begged, “I'm sorry I didn't notice what was happening on time. I felt something in my spirit when we finished the war, I begged her to leave the injured and come back home but she insisted on finishing with everyone. My vision didn't specify what the problem was and I ran into my room the second we got here because I was desperate to find out what was happening. I swear I'm innocent.”

“Come on baby,” Lucien grabbed my waist, “let's go get her.”

“She's going to lose it too,” the witch shrilled.

“I've held it in for over a century,” I hissed in her face, “I won't lose it right when it matters the most so take your useless visions that come at the wrong time and shove it up your ass!”

“Wow,” Reed chuckled, lifting me off the ground, “someone is using her outside voice.”

I didn't make it easy for him, I used my nails, fangs, and everything to struggle and the man just kept walking.

“Everyone,” Lucien began saying as Reed moved my protesting body away from the room, “we'll gather back here in twenty minutes. We're going to war, spread that message across every division, species, station, and realm. This ends today!”

“Where are you taking me to Reed? We have to go after them!” I yelled, my wolf's pacing making things worse.

“You're going to calm down, and then we'll make proper plans that won't end with your mind lost to the chaos that holds our daughter hostage. I won't let you go too, I won't!” He gritted out, and for a second, I caught a glimpse of the fear in his eyes.

But then it was gone and so was the control I was beginning to feel.

“They've probably gotten to where they are heading to and you want us to take things slow? They are just two people against an army! How aren't you panicking?”

“I don't think you grasp the power those two are wielding right now,” he breathed as he dumped me on the makeshift bed we all slept in.

“You're trying to convince me two people are strong enough to defeat Vlad’s army? You really think I'm that stupid?”

“No baby,” he knelt in front of me, cupping my cheeks in his large arm. “You're anything but stupid. I know how rattled all of this has made you. You had all this power in you all this time and you wish you'd known so you could have sacrificed yourself to salvage the damage we did in our relationship with Elly but I need you to understand that this is the best way. They'll get the message across to Vlad that we're not going to let him do whatever he wants. And then we'll move in, ending all of this once and for all.”

I frowned, although we've shared the bond for decades now, I didn't think he would be able to read me like that.

“So you want us to use them as bait?”

“When you put it like that, it sounds so terrible but for real, that's the most reasonable plan. It'll take a lot to get everyone on the way there. They're unkillable so it doesn't matter if they're facing the army alone.”

The darkness seeing the words he was saying was beginning to make sense began growling in my head, a vile, overpowering entity that wasn't used to hearing no from anyone.

“Baby you have to calm down,” I heard Reed’s voice and even though he was kneeling right before me, he sounded so far away.

I began pulling away from him, needing a way to shut up the gargling sounds in my mind but he grabbed my body again

I thrashed in his arms and was about to throw him off when his twin joined in.

“Take off her clothes,” Lucian commanded as he grabbed my upper body.

“Why the hell would we do that?”

“Gahhhh!!” I screamed like a deranged demon.

I was struggling so hard with my mind, I felt myself disconnecting but I wasn't some little girl or a victim.

I'd kept this wildness at bay since the day the former Alpha king tried to murder me over his precious throne and I lost myself for a bit and then swore never to let the darkness in again.

But the battle wasn't easy, it wasn't trying to convince me how good it could get anymore, it wanted to ascend and I'd rather die than let some destructive being take control of my mind and body.

I felt them take off my clothes, their voices so far away I couldn't figure out what they were saying.

Suddenly I felt a wet tongue licking from my ass all the way up to my clit.

I opened my eyes to see Reed down there with my pussy in front of his face. Our eyes met and he went in again, slurping my pussy with precision, over and over again. I went from not being aware of my body to suddenly being very aware of the way my legs shook in response to the pleasure he drove through me with his tongue. He wasn't even trying to drag it on, he was chasing my orgasm and was going fast at it. He pushed one finger inside me while his tongue worked hard and then two.

“Babyy,” I mewled, my eyes turning around, no longer struggling. I was winded out by his sucking and finger fucking that I completely forgot what was happening two minutes ago.

The darkness seemed to have been kept away as well, I wouldn't blame the fucker, my Reed was talented with his tongue.

He curved those delicious digits inside me and a violent orgasm rocked into me.

“Take control right now!” Lucien screamed in my head and my eyes widened.

But I got the message as clear as day. As my legs shook from the onslaught of my mate's fingers and tongue, I recovered every bit of my mind that I'd allowed the darkness to latch onto.

Like a wounded animal, it slinked back to the shadows and I took a deep breath, before I blacked out due to exhaustion, leaving my wolf on mind watch duty.

When I woke up hours later, everything felt off.

I stood up from the bed, realizing they'd dressed me up and I noticed a note on the bed with my mates' names scribbled at the end.

“You've always saved us all these years, allow us to save our daughter and grandchild. Let us prove ourselves worthy of your love. We love you with every blood in our veins, Reed and Lucien.”

Now that I didn't have the darkness driving me towards violence, I knew they were right.

They'll rescue them physically and I'll rescue their mind from the cliff it slipped off of.

That's what a good mother would do.
