Chapter 235: Chapter 0235

Chapter 0235

We both stare at the gun we hadn't noticed in alpha Lucien's hand and Zade sighs, then he stands up, letting my hand fall off his body.

"He would choose to die a coward. It is all he has ever been." He turns and walks out of the place. I followed him without a word. When we walk out, there are more than ten small girls in the hall. They don't seem fazed by all the bodies lying around and that has me worried.

"We need to get out, now!" a man comes out running, holding the hand of the woman that I guess is my sister.

It was still crazy to think about.

"Wait, what?" Zade asks the man who nods.

"They released the gas again. I don't know where Angus is, we had him but when we went to check on the kids and came back, he was nowhere to be seen." He chatters off in a rush.

"How are we going to get out?" he asks, looking at Zade full of trust.

I, on the hand, can't take my eyes off the woman he is holding. She looks thin and her face might be covered i dark bruises but it isn't hard to see the resemblance.

"I swiped this from my father." He holds a remote up, then he presses down on a red button.

A loud whirring sound fills the place, almost like a big engine starting. The ground vibrates for a few seconds before the wall at the end of the place opens, just like it did when Alpha Lucien walked in.

Seeing the brightness of the sun makes me release a breath I didn't know I was holding. And finally, finally, we were free.

We help the kids out first, then the woman and the man with her. We are about to walk out when someone cries out, running toward us. I don't recognize him but he is a short stocky man and I think I saw him earlier.

"Wait, wait, please. Don't let me die here." he cries, trying to run to us.

"Come on." Zade ignores him and takes my hand in his paw. He pulls me out with him, when the man tries walk past him, he shoves him back.

He waits till we're outside then he turns to the other man.

"Do you have one of tho-"

"Got it." The man cuts him off.

He pulls out a grenade and throws it into the place. Before it could go off, Zade presses the button again and we watch the place close back up, shutting off the man's scream.

We feel the explosion but it is nothing serious.

"You okay?" Zade turns to me and asks, his worried gray eyes staring into my very soul.

I shut my eyes and breathe out, when I open them back and see him, I can't help smiling.

"I am now."

He wraps his arms around me, pulling me to him and I hug him back, resting my head on his chest and breathing in his musky scent. He may be covered in blood but I didn't care. I could still detect his usual scent and that is more than enough.

"Sorry to break you lovebirds apart, but we need to get out of here." a new voice says.

We all turn around. My mouth almost reaches the ground when I see a familiar head of midnight black hair.

Damien winks, seeing the awestruck expression on my face.

"Hi, sis." I rolled my eyes, but laughed when he jumped on me and pulled me away from Zade. "God, I was scared I wouldn't see you again."

"I wouldn't dream of leaving you," I murmur, hugging him just as tight.

"Can you break it off? What were you saying?" Zade growls, tugging on Damien's arm until he releases me.

I laugh at his display of jealousy. Letting him wrap his arms around me and pull me back against his chest.

"Oh yeah, that!" Damien clears his throat and smiles sheepishly. "The place is about to explode." "What?!" we yell at the same time.

He smiles some more, letting out a nervous laugh.

"We've got a car close by, so let's go."

Zade smacks him upside before he releases me and heads to where the kids are huddled together. I don't know how they ended up here. I'll have to ask Zade about it later.

Together, we help them as much as we can and take them to the two ambulances waiting, then we get in the SUV Damien came with. He drives while Zade sits in the front with him. I'm in the back with the other man and my sister-still feels weird to call her that.

But I have to admit, when I sat beside her and reached for her hand, which she let me hold. It felt just right. Perfect.

THE END.

Hi guys, I'll be uploading the epilogue(two of them) . Please leave a positive review outside the book telling me your thoughts. Thank you all for reading and loving Zade and Feyre's story. It was a whirlwind but we made it.
