My eyesight blurred due to the incessant tears as I ran away from him.

I quickly took the elevator and pressed the down button. It was as if my heart was breaking as I watched it close. I was moved by the thought that I had left two people who were important to me.

My heart ached at the thought that Mommy could do everything for me, even if she was in danger. Maybe that's how deep a mother's love is; just like me, even if I want to be with my child, I will choose to suffer far away from him, instead of ruining him with me.

Rozz smiled at me, then grabbed my arm to throw me in to the passenger seat. Anger rose inside me because of what he did.

How? How could he smile at me, as if he had done nothing wrong to me? How was he able to face me, as if he had stolen nothing from me?

I wanted to hurt him, slap him, scold him; but I thought about what Mommy would be like.

When I got in and sat in the car, he got in to the driver's seat. He started the car and looked at me again.

I winced when he held my hand. I wanted to take it back, but it seemed like he had guessed what I was going to do, because he immediately tightened his grip on me.

I looked at him full of hatred, but he just ignored it. Instead he tried to lift my hand and kissed me.

He looked at me happily and stroked my face. I froze, and slowly shed tears of surrender.

The gun was aimed at my mom again...

It was as if he was telling me that I could do nothing except follow his orders, so I could do nothing but cry.

"My queen and I will go home and then we will get married," he said happily.

I just closed my eyes as he slowly brought his face closer to mine. My fist clenched as his lips touched my forehead.

"We'll take your mommy with you so you won't be sad. I love you so much Cassandra. I will forget all the infidelity; we will start again when we return to America," he said, to my surprise.

No, no, no...

I opened my eyes in tears as he looked away from me. He started driving. At that moment, I could not help but look at the resort as our car slowly drove away.

Please save me...

If before I was ready for all the consequences, now I can't help but wonder how we'll get out of here.

I silently cried and asked for a miracle.

I was surprised when Rozz suddenly slammed on the brakes.

I looked at him curiously. His forehead was furrowed, and his eyesight was dark as he looked ahead; that's when I noticed the surroundings.

A few seconds later I heard a loud noise from behind us, as if a fast car had suddenly stopped. We turned around and my jaw dropped when I found Andrei's car.

I could see Rozz holding the steering wheel and staring at me.

"How long will your man bother us?" he asked me.

“He’s my husband." I corrected. I do not know where I even got the strength to speak out against him.

I received a strong slap.

"Cassandra!" Mommy shouted loudly at that moment. "Stop it Rozz. Please don't hurt my daughter. Hurt me instead, it's just me and my husband that didn't keep our agreement." Mommy said, crying.

"Stop!" he shouted loudly and opened the front compartment.

I froze in my seat as another gun came out of it.

Mommy and I both stopped and fell silent. We did not even let our cries be heard.

God save us.

The police remained standing outside their vehicles as their weapons pointed in our direction. Perhaps they were first inspecting what could be done to save us from Rozz's hand.

I could see from the side mirror that Andrei was getting out of his car. The expression in his eyes was dark.

Rozz grabbed my face and forced me to face him. He sighed and laughed foolishly.

"What does your man think of me? Stupid?" He said then slammed the top of the gun in my face.

I held my breath, while my mom was panicking.

"Please stop Rozz. Please," I begged him weakly.

He smiled at me and pressed the top of the gun to my head.

"NOOO! NOT MY DAUGHTER! ROZZ PLEASE DON'T!" Mommy cried and started to lose her temper.

"MOMMY!" I shouted as Rozz's man next to her punched her, causing her to lose strength to fight, or even move.

I didn't know what was going on around us; my whole attention was on my mom.

The gun hit my head again, so I turned my attention back to him.

I cried pleading, hoping he might hear me, but he didn't. He kept watching me as if he was enjoying what I was doing.

"I will do everything you want Rozz. I will marry you, I will not run away. I will do everything Rozz, please release Mommy. Please." I said again.

He smiled at me and his other hand caressed my face while remaining focused on the gun with his other hand.

"How many years have I loved you Cassandra? I will never let you go to someone else. You are my Cassandra." He said without emotion.

I just nodded in response. Whatever I could do to keep my mother out of harm's way, I would do. Even if I had to swallow my anger against him, even if I got hurt, it's okay.

"We will be together Cassandra. Not here, but in the afterlife, they will never get you from me," he said softly and squeezed my hand.

I just closed my eyes when he slowly adjusted the gun, ready to fire it.

"I will follow my queen," he said softly.

I just burst into tears.
