Chapter 6: She Actually Compared Me to A Prostitute

By the poolside, Ethan stood tall and noble in his dark suit, his figure imposing. If it weren’t for his wet hair still dripping, no one would have guessed what he had been up to just moments before.

Ava stood behind him, drying her wet hair. Red marks, deep and shallow, were scattered across her white collarbone. She walked around to face Ethan, her fingers gliding over his collar.

Suddenly, Ethan grabbed her wrist with his large hand, pulling her forcefully toward him. Just as Ava was about to press against him, he exerted more force, causing her to wince in pain.

"Disappear from my sight now." As soon as he finished speaking, he released her abruptly, pushing her away, and strode towards the banquet hall.

Behind him, Ava's dissatisfied snort could be heard: "Truly heartless, putting on your pants and forgetting everything."

Ethan continued walking, unfazed.

Ava said, "Fine, I thought you were something special. Looks like you're just ordinary. In that case, I might as well find someone else. I heard the men at the Night Cat Club are quite impressive. Maybe I should book one."

Ava, in her high heels and alluring figure, walked forward in the opposite direction to Ethan.

His footsteps halted, his sharp lips pressed together, and the temperature in his eyes dropped.

Turning his head, he saw that the seductive red figure had already moved away from the pool.

Ethan's heart felt as if it were being tightly squeezed. His eyes widened, staring intently at Ava's resolute back.

That vivid red figure seemed like a blazing fire, burning in his heart, making her unforgettable.

Every word she said, every sentence, was like a sharp needle piercing deeply into his heart.

He thought, ‘How dare she actually compare me to that kind of man?’

"Ava, do you think it ends like this?" A cold voice rang out. In the next moment, Ava's body was pulled back into his arms.

Ethan had somehow already reached her. At this moment, his long hand was slipping into her exposed back, his fingertips sliding down like fine sand.

But the next second, Ava swiftly broke free from his embrace, raising her chin high, her voice icy. "Mr. Davis, our relationship is over. I am leaving now."

"Is that so? Then what was just now?" Ethan forcefully pinned her against the potted plants behind her. The large banana leaves concealed them, and his eyes were filled with a fierce possessiveness.

She tried to break free, but Ethan's grip was just strong enough to prevent her from escaping easily without causing her pain.

"What, Mr. Davis wants another round? I'm afraid you can't handle it." As she spoke, her soft fingers deliberately brushed over the most sensitive spot at his waist, her gaze provocative.

Ethan's anger flared up at her words, and he instantly grabbed her chin. "Do you know who you are talking to?"

"I certainly do." Ava's nails lightly scratched over his erect part through his pants.

Ethan frowned slightly, almost losing control at her scent, but he maintained his composure.

He said, "You are a smart woman. If you don’t want to do it, leave."

Ava watched as he let go, feeling a tinge of disappointment.

She thought, ‘Now is not the time.’

"What's the rush? I haven't finished watching the show yet." She looked at Ethan, a sly smile playing on her lips.

Ethan's eyes narrowed slightly, a dangerous glint in them. He scrutinized the woman in front of him, always finding her unpredictable.

When he had told her not to seek him out again, she had left so decisively, without a trace of reluctance, as if everything between them was merely fleeting.

Yet today, she reappeared without warning, stirring his thoughts and leaving him both confused and helpless.

In reality, Ethan's interest in Ava had long surpassed his expectations.
