Captive to Consort: The Mayor's Temptation

As Maggie walked through the door, she witnessed two naked male bodies intertwined on the leather couch in the living room. The moans and gasps filled the entire house.

Until yesterday, it had been exactly two years since she married Matt, her so-called husband, despite this not being the first time she had caught him in bed with another man. No matter how many times she witnessed it, she would always feel uncomfortable.

Maggie curled her fingers, rolled up her sleeves, and headed towards the kitchen. "What does Mr. Williams want for lunch? I'll make it," she said.

Knowing they had already agreed to get a divorce, there was no need for her to continue playing the role of a dutiful wife. However, the scene in the living room had truly embarrassed and humiliated her.

This absurd marriage was nothing but a bubble of love that she had fantasized about; it had clouded her mind and deceived her. Now, as an adult, she could only bear the responsibility herself.

"Aren't you only capable of making instant noodles?" Matt leaned against the door, lighting a cigarette. "Stop fussing around. We have the Year-Ending Party tonight. We agreed that you would accompany me for one last time."

Maggie's expression remained blank. "I know."

He exhaled smoke, observing this young wife who only had the title of a wife, but harbored a hidden sense of frustration and defeat in her eyes. There was not anxiety in his heart.

Matt was completely gay; he had never loved women. With her limited experience in relationships, Maggie had been married to him for six months without realizing this.

He put on a complete act, showing care and concern in their daily lives, remembering their anniversaries and giving her gifts on special occasions. He had not deprived her of anything except for kissing and going to bed with her. Unless she took the initiative, he wouldn't even hold her hand.

When emotions reached a certain intensity, the lack of desire was fake.

At first, Maggie thought it was due to her lacking in sexual appeal. Her friends suggested that she try role-playing, such as being a innocent student, an elegant older sister, or a submissive nurse. But he remained unresponsive.

Even provocative acts, such as lingerie shows or milk baths, visually stimulating, were expected to arouse the lust of a man his age. But he showed absolutely no reaction.

Fed up with being toyed with, she would grab a finance magazine and have her read it until midnight to help him fall asleep.

Maggie had studied broadcasting and hosting; her gentle and melodious voice carried a hint of the soft dialect from her ten-year stay in S City with her relatives. When she didn't put on airs, she would swallow her words, speaking in the romantic dialect.

No matter how shallow her romantic experiences were, she could still feel how weird this sexless marriage was.

The Williams family was involved in real estate business in Radiant City, but they had only recently entered the industry and hadn't yet got a firm foothold in the market. Their company's annual net income was around ten thousand, which was far from the wealth of true elites and distinguished figures. However, compared to Maggie's family background, the Williams family could already be considered wealthy.

She wasn't greedy; Matt, as the general manager of the company, had frequent social events and occasional temptations that he couldn't resist, resulting in small affairs. She wasn't unable to forgive him.

Secretly, she checked Matt's Range Rover. She found no evidence of a woman's hair, discarded underwear, or even opened condoms. Instead, she discovered a pair of blue and white striped men's underwear, stained with dried spots of sperm.
