Chapter 11
The day passed quickly as Vinicius got busy for that night. He tried not to think too much all that time, even though anxious and exciting thoughts entered his head from time to time.
Under Kairo's exciting and friendly advice, he shaved some of his hairy parts. It would make him more comfortable about the experience. Sabino really felt good, actually, a freedom sensation with his body he is not really used to, besides the stiff training way.
Kairo really made him promised that Vinicius would tell everything the next day. And as a man of word, Vinicius promised.
He also has to think over the situation on church. Samira has been very careful about the girl's church situation. She thought that was not normal and wanted to talk with Vinicius about something in particular. Well, he would ignore that too as he walked by the sexshop hall.
The same determination, he thought, when he saw Lumiria at the agreed place. He dismounted from the motorcycle and walked over to where she was, holding another helmet in his hand as he took one off his head.
She was eye-catching in a red leather jacket over a top that resembled black lingerie, black shorts, and knee-high boots. Her hair had a few waves and it was even more glossy. Her eyeliner was complemented by a soft, red smoky eyeshadow.
“Good evening, lumiria.” He said, his expression light.
“Hi, Vinicius.” She nodded, trying not to look away from his eyes, but end up sighing.
But she blinked confused when looking to the helmets.
“I thought we were going nearby”
“Actually, I preferred another place” and he handed the helmet to her.
“How was your day?” he asked.
She looked at him, his face when mounting the bike, so tranquil and natural.
Never a man asked how was her day, that felt so different, when said by his voice was like holding her hand without looking in her eyes, but the hand warm touch said everything
“I’ve been really busy doing some research about my job.” Her voice bringing some wave of shyness along while mounting behind him.
“Well, that was the same for me. Some interesting research.” He ignited the motorcycle.
Lumiria is just 18, she has experienced poor limited human experience, but riding a bike holding the muscled belly throught the sexy black linen shirt and feeling the wind of adrenaline that just human felt was… exhilarating.
For a moment, she wanted to be without the helmet.
That moment passed very fast even taking 30 minutes to arrive to the other city. Somehow, they reminded her of southeast Asian when she did some job there, the trees, people, art, food.
The place was beautiful and so much more nutritive than Santana, the name was Macapá.
She wondered what exactly were the possibilities to do, but the fresh air and the food, the place, all the waterfront environment made her smile. Vinicius was doing the same thing, beholding the place, it was always a really good place to think about life or forget the problems. After parking the motorcycle, he took her hand. She looked at his hand and that marvelous veins showing before his rolled sleeve in the forearms.
“Are you good?” he asked. She just nodded, which was not usual, but at the moment, she wanted to communicate just with her eyes.
They headed to the waterfront, walking by several stalls mostly selling snacks like hot dogs, churros, and french fries. Even apple of love they were selling, and a couple kissed each other after buying it, as a act of love. She remembered her kiss the other day, not knowing if it was haunting her. All the time that memory found a way of coming back to her, such an unforgettable feeling. Vinicius needed to touch her chin and make her look at him.
“Where were you? Do you want to eat anything?” Vinicius gazed at her attentively, offering a gentle smile, like he was looking at a lost child.
“Sorry, I was just distracted.”
“I’ve never seen a distracted suc…” he gulped, smilling, but his brown eyes mischievous with amusement. There’s some telepathic human communication she never thought could exist.
“I really wanted to show you the churros from this place, it’s insanely delicious” he approached a stall and took the menu and approached to her, shoulder by shoulder, what was somehow cute.
She had never seen such a variety of churros before. They chose one with filling both inside and outside and approached the river to eat. He easily got distracted by the gentle flow of the Amazon River while sitting on the ledge. It was so magnificent and full of peace.
She looked at him, like he was waiting for her and he brought the box with the tip of the churro towards her mouth. Lumiria bit carefully, licking with her tongue what escaped from the corner of her mouth. He watched her intently, holding back a smile, but allowing himself to do so when she widened her eyes and practically jumped in excitement where she was seated.
“Yes, that is what I expected” he took a bite as well.
Since when do they laugh together?
“This place.. is so good to be with.”
“Yeah, I know. Somes weekends I come here to relax.”
“Alone?”
“Mostly. Sometimes, a friend, Kairo his name, comes with me.”
“Hum.” She opened her mouth, pointing to it. Once again, he fed her a churro.
“Can I make questions about you life?”
“Ask. There are many people like you that knows the Aboveworld, it’s not a big deal, I think.”
“Do you have a dream?”
It stopped her for a while.
“I don’t know if you’re thinking this is stupid, but.. you’re so different from the other Sucubbus that tried to approach me, the way you act, they way you think, it’s… surprising.”
“My friend says the same thing to me. It may be dangerous, actually, but…”
“But… “ he expected, his eyes glowing with some weird and curious expectation.
“I like selling churros and learn new K-pop choreographies. I may not have a dream, but I like mundane thing”
“Maybe you could have a dream if you meet more about the human world.”
She didn’t say anything, looking at the river for a moment and took a heavy sigh.
He wanted to make so many questions to Lumiria. He couldn’t think about this before, but now he knows something is not really right. But he decided to ignore it, standing and he extended his hand to her.
He leaded her to a part of the waterfront in front of the fortress, with some amusement toys.
Without realizing, they were in a line of a Ferris wheel.
“Here are your tickets” said a boy from the staff.
When she entered the place, the air was like a cupid, because the spaced filled with a unbreathable electrical attraction. She closed her eyes like it could solve anything, but Vinicius opened a short window, entering some divine fresh air from the waves of the river.
Vinicius entered after her, shutting the door with a slam that made something with her body. He crouched beside her like it was his favorite place and he was also buckling for her. The way he did it was so… close and handsome. If she leaned just a little, she could smell his hair a little harder, with that delicious shampoo mixed with his scent. She closed her eyes and tried to do it, but she was already surprised with his eyes connected to hers, his eyes burning with that gaze, and kissed her gently.
His hand tightened his grip, and the following second the giant wheels started moving.
“There, you can’t escape with your demon wings” he whispered. His skilled fingers started some process of dominate her, and it was almost impossible to make him stop from the moment he caressed her cheek. As they ascend within the confines of the Ferris wheel, his long fingers trailing down to her chin, which he delicately holds between his thumb and forefinger. In the intimate space of their cabin, he leans in, placing a brief, chaste kiss on her lips. The unexpected touch leaves her reeling, her insides clenching at the thrill of the moment, all while the Ferris wheel continues its gentle ascent.
“Maybe you show me them someday.” He whispered.
Bothe of them stared as the thing move, make her eyes bigger. She is going to learn how to fly yet, that thing made her dazzling.
“I don’t have wings, but this is a way of showing you rare perspective of mundane ways.” He said, in a normal tone.
Oh, he knows how to treat a girl. That’s surprising.
He took out earphones from the pocket and played some slow music. Each one one plug.
“I thought you were the type of boy who used to shake the head with heavymetal.”
“I am, but we have a different state of chemistry here”
She giggled, resting her head on his shoulder.
“Look, over there.” He pointed to a statue some meter from the trapiche.
“The statue?”
“Yes, there is a legend that says if the statue comes out the river goes high and this city goes under.”
“Oh, really?”
He shook his head.
“Ancient stories”
“Wait, are you trying to impress a Sucubbus?”
“Yes, I am trying to impress a Sucubbus because from What I see you need to feel more of this world.”
“Is this a way to prison me?”
“Maybe”
Oh, he doesn’t really feel embarrassed with this talking.
“Are you impressed, Lumiria?” he asked, circling her with his arm. This felt great.
“Yes, I am. I am really curious to see how you’re going to impress me until the end of this night.”
His lips curved, his cheeks read, while looking ahead.
Omg, he looked so much a boy from this age and that felt so strangely good, she thought.
The ferris wheel rolled into the dark night by the wavy whispering river.
“You really do like this surreal experiences like a normal day of a magic fantasy creature. What else do you like, patrolling the city like a vigilante at night?”
“Wait, are you spying on me besides trying to take some of my sexual energy?”
“I am just making my researches.”
“Yes, maybe I do some Vigilanting.”
“You say I am a different Sucubbus, but you aren’t a normal human, either.”
“I just try magnific hobbies without always spending money.”
“Does any of them excited you?”
He thought for a moment.
“I have something in mind, but this is for another day.”
“Oh, you and your controlling ways.”
“I don’t like your tone, don’t even think about taking the trident from you.”
“I won’t, ok? I don’t want a breast cancer” she pouted, resting her face again against his shoulder, and then giggled.
The ground was getting closer and somehow that brought fast thoughts to her, like coming back to reality.
“The capoeira is the human think you like.”
“What?”
“Like I said, I like things from this world, capoeira is what makes you feel magic without magic.”
“Hum, I bet you have one in the world, too.
When they get out of the toy, she heard a familiar type of beat, attracting her to take involuntary steps while Vinicius got down behind her.
“What’s happening?” he said, worried
She looked at him, with a intense and worried look, the light from the park shadowing him in a dark horror way.
“I think I just heard something I really like about the human world. A way of feeling magic without magic.”
