***Raven’s POV***
I will find that little fleabag if it's the last thing I do! I don't care if I have to bathe this entire state in the shadows. I will find him and I will kill him! No one abandons me and I most certainly wasn't done with him yet either. He was a fun toy and I want to play with him one last time before I kill him. I had him spellbound too. I must know how he broke free because no one has ever broken it before. He broke my curse on him too. He defied me for the last time! He didn't track that werewolf that I needed either. I lost that way into the Fall pack, but I still have a way into the Kent's. It's close but not ideal like the one I had to get into the Falls. I need that wolf though and once I get him my army will be nearly complete and I will gain true immortality. I will be eternal. I will be a God!
I know Cassius is around here somewhere too. I had sensed him, but he just vanished. Now I have no read on him whatsoever and the spirit realm is no help. I can't even summon a damn demon! Something has truly disrupted my world these past few weeks. But no matter because soon I will have immense power.
If they don't bow to me, they will forever perish! My shadows are engulfing the town and woods as I walk around searching for Cassius. I already tried looking for him in the city and the Fall compound too. My little evil imps are terrorizing the living while my empusa are haunting any dreamers. Soon I will have him, I can feel it!
I see why the gods of the underworld love empusa so much too. They are terrifying and so very effective as they can inflict physical harm on mortals. They work quite well on shifters too because they're part human and they sleep making them prone to my little demonic friends.
Tonight is perfect as it's the first night of the full blood moon. I know I will find what I seek. My minions alert me that they picked up a trail. They start climbing up a few large hills and then there is this blinding light filled with laughter.
I scream, “No!!!!!!” As I watch my shadows disappear, my imps turn to ash, and my beautiful empusa turn gold and ascend. Only pure white magic could make an empusa ascend that easily. As I am pondering my next move, I hear a familiar voice that I haven't heard in millennia and feel a spiritual presence.
Morgan LaFae, whose voice I have not heard since the White Wolf War cackles, “Once again you chose the wrong side. But this time it will be you who dies!”
I shake my head in disbelief, “Morgan! No! You're dead!” This must be some kind of trick, but who could do this?
Morgan says, “No, but you will be!”
Then there was this shockwave and I found myself over 300 miles away. My clothing is scorched. I know Morgan is dead because I killed her. The light though has me thinking. Surely she couldn't have made a deal with angels. They don't come to this realm and there's no way that Morgan’s soul has been accepted into the celestial realm.
How is she doing this? Cassius! Fuuck, he knows what I did to Morgan! I knew he wasn't just a werewolf. He has to be a true shapeshifter and he has found a witch to help him. Well, I will just make him watch while I kill his precious white witch!
