CHAPTER SEVEN
LUCIAN'S P.O.V
"Fucking bastard! Son of a bitch!"
I cursed loudly, the sound of my fists hitting the punching back echoed in the gym. Sweat ran down my back, hands and face as I thought back to what happened earlier today. The more I thought about it, the more I grounded my teeth, rage filling me. Normally, I would let off all the rage through sex but that life was over now. I had a mate. A mate who didn't want me.
"That motherfucker!!" With a roar, I sent the bag flying.
"That's the fourth bag you made useless today. Are you okay?" Griffin noted as he placed another bag on the hook, a look of concern on his face.
"I'm fine, just wanted to workout." I replied, walking away because I no longer felt like punching again.
"How are things going with your mate?"
I growled low in my throat.
"Let it be, Griffin. I don't want to talk about it."
"But I'm sure you can handle it right? You've always handled things no matter how hard it was."
I opened my mouth to speak when someone rushed in.
"Alpha Lucian!" The young guy panted, his eyes wide in urgency.
"The alpha! Your mom!"
Alarm flared in my eyes.
"Shit!" He's at it again."
I rushed directly to my parents room, almost falling at the step then I heard my mom's screaming. I kicked down the door and saw red. She sprawled out on the ground trying to protect herself, tears in her eyes while my dad stood over her, his fists raised.
"I told you not to fucking touch her again, you bastard!"
I ran over to him and dragged him down. I don't know how many but I just kept on punching him, my hands became stained with blood not from me but him.
"Lucian! Lucian! Please stop it! He's your father!" Mom screamed, her pleading voice breaking, it distracted me for a bit.
He took that chance to push me off him and began punching me. I felt hot pain on my face but I didn't give up. I grabbed him back and we rolled around together on the floor.
"I warned you didn't I? I said don't hurt my mother! Don't touch her!"
"I'm your father and your alpha, I can do whatever I want!" He yelled back, his hands on my throat.
"I don't fucking care." I roared at him.
He raised his hand about to hit me again when someone barked.
"Alpha Desmond!"
We both turned to see Kieran walking towards us. Silently, he used a hand and dragged me up then pushed my father away.
"Are you meant to be doing this? What the hell is going on? And your wife? Why the hell are you doing this to her?"
He roared, his eyes ablaze with anger, I almost started to like him. Almost.
"Why don't you mind your own damn business and leave us alone. This is a family matter." I spat at him as I cleaned the blood from my face.
Dad wiped his bloody nose while glaring at me.
"You'll pay for this, son. I promise you."
I smirked at him.
"Well I'm waiting. Its not the first time you made such useless threats."
He growled at me, giving a final glance to Kieran the stormed out of the room.
"Mom!" I quickly ran to where she was sitting, crying on the floor. Tears filled my eyes seeing her state.
"I don't know why you keep up with this. Why do you do it? Why do you still stay with him when this is what he puts you through everyday?" My voice broke while holding her frail hands.
She gave me a weak smile, her eyes barely open.
"Because...he's your father....and my husband."
I watched her fall asleep, then I carried her gently and placed her on the bed, covering her body with the blanket.
I whispered while staring at her pale face.
"I'm going to make that bastard pay, one way or the other."
This was the reason he hadn't made me alpha yet. He knows that I might kill him or chase him out of the pack.
"Is this a normal happening in your home?"
I gritted my teeth, I had forgotten he was still here.
I opened my mouth with slight difficulty.
"I don't want to admit it...but yes. And I'll advice you keep quiet about it."
He nodded as I passed him, I stopped at the door and motioned for him to step out while I close the door.
"Why are you following me?" I stopped, once I noticed that he was still behind me.
"I want to know where you are going to." He replied casually.
"Why?" I frowned, the question evident in my voice.
"To stop you from doing something crazy."
I scoffed and continued walking. Who the hell does he think he is.
"Stay away Kieran."
"Don't do anything stupid."
I stopped again, my hands clenched.
"Look, just because you're officially an alpha and come from a pack that is known for their battle efficiency, does not mean you can fight my battles for me."
He stayed silent, I continued my walk, he was still following me. I stepped back into the gym, Griffin wasn't here. Kieran stayed silent for a while then cleared his throat.
"Is she...is she your mate?"
I raised my head,head tilted.
"Who?"
He frowned, his silver eyes glinting.
"The girl I saw in the bar. Is she your mate?"
I took a deep breath, struggling to reign in the anger that was threatening to surge out again.
"What's it to you?"
"I'm just curious, she seemed like a very interesting person. And I would like to get to know her."
'Bang'
I stared at the fist sized hole I just made in the wall. Then I reared up to face him.
"Listen, "Alpha", I want you to stay away from Aurora, okay? She's mine, my mate. You can't have any business none whatsoever with her at all. She is my mate, go get yours."
We stood in a gazing showdown, our wolves ready to fight. I might not be an alpha yet but my wolf was an alpha wolf, we could take a fight with him.
"Lucian! Lucian!"
The door banged open, Griffin ran in, his face white. My stomach ran cold, not my mom again.
"What is it? Is it mom? Is dad hurting her again?"
"No..." He shook his head. "Aurora..."
Aurora?
"What about her?" My heart started beating fast. "What the hell happened to her?" I growled.
"She was found unconscious...in the woods...naked."
