Chapter 60 60
CHAPTER SIXTY
AURORA'S P.O.V
"Elijah Vaughn, my rightful son."
My gaze immediately shifted to a grinning Eli, he had a very pleased look on his face as he nodded his head.
No wonder I thought he had looked familiar, so he was his son. But then how? Who's the mother?
"Correct me if I'm wrong..." I panted. "He's your son? How?"
"Didn't I tell you? The black witch fell in love with me, he is the product."
"And you still killed her." I whispered, feeling pity for the dead woman.
Eli shrugged, no ounce of pity in his eyes.
"If dad said she had to go, then she had to go."
"I never even loved her anyway, I only ever loved one person. But that person is gone, so...not my problem."
They both shared a look and burst into laughter.
Gosh. This man is a monster and his damn son couldn't see it. How the hell are you okay with your dad murdering your own mother?
"Anyway, Aurora." Alpha Desmond called as he motioned to his son. "You sit tight, I'll be back in maybe an hour or two" Then he paused, "And oh, don't bother trying to shift. You can't, I made sure of that."
With that, they turned and faded into the darkness, I heard a door opening and shutting briefly. As soon as they were gone, I closed my eyes and tried to shift, calling out to my wolf to hear me. But nothimg worked.
"What did he do to me?" I hissed while still trying again but it just felt like something was holding me down from reaching out to my wolf.
I slumped in the chair, my hair falling like a curtain around my face. I even forgot to ask him what he meant by the prophesy.
He lied!
He wasn't coming back in an hour or two. The fierce growling of my stomach told me so. If I had to estimate the time I've been left here since he left, that would be almost two days. Two days! What sort of a monster leaves his captive for two days without food or water. My eyes were spinning, my lips and throat were dry from thirst and a crazy match between the worms was going on in my stomach.
"I'm hungry!" I whined, my voice coming out feeble with no strength. "Damn you, bastard. Why don't you come back..." I licked my lips with my dry tongue, "...and finish what you started instead of leaving me here to die of thirst and hunger."
A slight thought occurred to me that I might have been abandoned but I threw the thought away. No way, I'm sure he was coming back.
Some hours later, just when I was a few seconds away from crying, the sound of a door opening sounded again. My head snapped up and I squinted my eyes, carefully watching to see who it would be.
"Miss me?"
Alpha Desmond laughed as he came into the light. He had a plastic chair with him which he placed in front of me and sat down facing me. He was dressed in a pair of faded jeans, a black button up shirt and a jacket. His hair was tied up in a man bun, he grinned at me.
"Wow, you finally came back huh?" I was in no mood to be nice. "Took you long enough."
He snorted, his eyes narrowing.
"I had to make sure you were ready."
"Ready for what?"
He leaned closer.
"To do what I wanted."
I closed my eyes as I fought off another bout of dizziness, when I opened them again, he was grinning. I'm sure he knew I was starving and weak.
"Will doing your request, get me fed?"
"Of course, anything you want." He nodded eagerly.
I regarded him for a while, he seemed so different from the Alpha Desmond I knew.
"You know, the more I look at you, the more you seem so different from the person I had known you to be."
His face became cold.
"You mean like this?" He sounded gruff and cold, his eyes only showing hatred. I nodded.
"Yes, this is the you I know."
He reverted back to smiling and scratched his bearded chin.
"That version was a different character altogether. Not me...but someone else."
I Frowned, "What do you mean?"
His eyes flitted to me.
"None of your business. Now are you ready to do what I Want?"
"What is it?".
"I need your blood." He stated casually.
I stared at him for a while with unblinking eyes. What did he just say?
"I'm sorry what?"
"I need your blood." He crossed his legs still staring at me.
"Um..." My eyes darted left and right then back to him, he was still waiting for me. "If you need my blood why didn't you take it earlier when I was unconscious? I'm sure no one would have stopped you."
He shook his head, his lips pressed together.
"No, I can't take your blood until you give it to me yourself, with your own hands. Its a very annoying disadvantage of this black magic thing."
I sighed and lowered my head back to my chest, it was becoming hard to keep it up.
"Then take it, I'm sure there are some dried blood on my head."
I heard something dragging against the floor, I didn't bother looking up to see what it was.
"Arrrrrggghhh!"
My body arched in agony as the sudden electricity coursed through me. My muscles contracted and my joints screamed in protest as I shook my weak and deprived body from the pain.
I was only dimly aware that I was screaming like a banshee right now, my screams echoing through the walls. I felt my mouth fill with the metalic taste of blood as I bit down on my tongue. My body arched off the chair with my head thrown far back my neck. I was going to die. My body felt like it was on fire. Then it stopped and I slumped helplessly again to the seat, my pants short and fast.
Then he leaned closer.
"I wasn't asking Aurora. I'm ordering you to give me your blood."
With a herculean effort, I raised my head, my eyes blurry with sweat.
"What do you intend to do with it?"
"None of your business."
I let out a short laugh, refusal in my tone.
"Then I won't give you."
He settled back in his chair, a lazy smirk on his lips as he rubbed his chin.
"Even if it is for the sake of a certain surviving relative of yours?"
