CHAPTER ONE HUNDRED AND FORTY-NINE
AURORA'S P.O.V
The girls told me to go on down, that they would be out with their respective partners, so I said no problem and decided to go down. But as soon as I came down the stairs, I almost stumbled from shock that blasted through my core...and lust.
"Damn."
I couldn't help muttering as I stared down at Lucian as he waited for me. He was wearing a sleek, black tuxedo with a fitted jacket and trousers, paired with a crisp white shirt and a silver tie that matched my dress. His hair was styled in a smooth, elegant look, parted a bit at the center, and he also had on a silver watch on his wrist.
I wasn't the only one stunned either, Lucian stood unmoving, his mouth slightly open as he watched me come down, he was certainly stunned. The emerald dress hugged my curves perfectly while my hair was left in waves to cascade diwny back like a waterfall. He took my hand gently and kissed it as soon as I reached him, his blue eyes shimmered under the light.
"You...you look so..." He sighed dreamily, his eyes going soft, I grinned at him, "You look breathtaking," he whispered.
I blushed, wiggling my toes in my shoes.
"Thank, you don't look bad yourself. My handsome king."
"I'm flattered, my queen.." Then he closed his eyes and took a sniff of my scent. A strangled groan escaped his lips. "I wish we weren't going to this damn party, I really just want to tear your dress off you and have you to myself."
I was flattered but I had to stop him there.
"You better hold that thought, I spent two days for all these, to get ready and I'm not going to let you ruin it in five seconds. Have some patience will you, you'll have me all to yourself then."
He growled again, pressing his forehead against mine and kissing me softly.
"I can't wait."
"Ahem!" Someone cleared their throat behind us. Mirable look amused and annoyed at the same time.
"In case you guys don't mind, we would also like to leave the stairs. So move away."
"Oh sorry, excuse us." Lucian laughed as he gently left me out of the way, I didn't even realize the whole gang had been watching and waiting for us to move away front stairs.
We watched silently, as they made their way down the stairs to where we were standing. Mirabel came down with Shawn, her hand on his. She looked lovely, dressed in a soft, ethereal gesta in a pale lavender color, with delicate white embroidery that resembles flowers or vines. The dress was fitted at the waist, with a flowing skirt that seems to float around her, and her hair styled in a gentle, wavy look with a few flowers woven in. While Shawn beside her, was wearing a dashing, charcoal gray suit with a fitted jacket and trousers, paired with a light purple shirt and a silver tie. His hair was styled in a charming, rumpled look, and he had a silver chain on his wrist.
"Aww. You guys look so wonderful, no gorgeous." I clapped excitedly, going over to give her a hug.
"Thank you, I know I am gorgeous but I can't be as gorgeous as you."
"Come on." We giggled.
Then Talia and Griffin came down, holding hands.
"Now that's my girl and her man." I cheered.
Talia was wearing a bold, fiery red dress with a fitted bodice and a full, flaring skirt. It was adorned with intricate golden embroidery that resembles flames, and her hair was styled in a dramatic, curly updo with a few loose strands framing her face. As for Griffin, he wore a sharp, navy blue suit with a fitted jacket and trousers, paired with a crisp white shirt and a silver tie with a subtle pattern. The suit had a slight sheen to it, catching the light as he moved, and his hair was styled in a rugged, handsome look with a hint of messiness.
"Girl, you cooked and you ate." Mirabel whooped.
Talia grinned and did a full spin.
"I know right. Its all in the body."
We laughed while Griffin, Shawn and Lucian simply shook their heads.
Then came Eli and Ariel looking like the couple of the year. Eli wore a simple yet elegant outfit, such as a light gray suit with a fitted jacket and trousers, paired with a crisp white shirt and a silver tie. His hair was styled in a clean, effortless look, and he had a silver pendant around his neck. Ariel looked resplendent in a stunning sea-green gesta with intricate beading and embroidery that shimmers like the ocean. The dress was expertly fitted at the waist, with a flowing skirt that resembles the waves of the sea. Her hair was styled in a flowing, undone look, with a few strands left wild.
She flicked her hair once she reached us, a smile on her lips.
"You don't need to tell me, I know I look good."
We all nodded.
"And damn right you do."
Lucian sighed, his voice bored.
"And for the bachelors, would you please step out. Fast, we are wasting time."
"Hey, do not rush me. I spent a lot on my look, okay." Jake called out from above.
"I agree." Kale yelled back.
We all sighed with resignation, who decided to put those two together, I'm already feeling sorry for Kieran. The three men walked down slowly, we kept silent as they made their entrance, Kale and Jake smiling giddily while Kieran had a grumpy look on his face that said 'why am I even doing this'?
Kieran was dressed in a sleek, black tuxedo with a fitted jacket and trousers, paired with a crisp white shirt and a silver tie that matched his eyes. His hair wss styled in a smooth, elegant look, and he wore a silver watch on his wrist. Kale wore a bold, navy blue suit with a fitted jacket and trousers, paired with a crisp white shirt and a silver tie. His hair was styled in a sleek, modern look, and he had a silver watch on his wrist.
Looking snazzy!
