Chapter 213: Richard Has a Scandal
Philip knew that no matter what he said, no one would take his side.
He turned to George for help, hoping to find an ally.
"George, you're a doctor. Do you think Mr. Howard's condition is serious?"
George looked up briefly. "Mr. Howard has a fever, right? But the wound is well treated. Some porridge would be good for him."
Was this really George?
Was he actually concerned about what Alexander should eat?
But wasn't the point whether Alexander should or shouldn't eat certain things?
George picked up the soup beside him and placed it next to Emilia. "Have this, it's good for your lungs."
"Thanks, George."
Aurora felt so pleased watching Catherine and Alexander.
It was wonderful that the kids got along well!
But looking at these other people annoyed her. Aurora looked at Charles and Richard. "You two better bring home a daughter-in-law this year! Otherwise, don't bother coming home!"
Since Charles and Richard weren't back, all the pressure fell on George and Philip.
George raised his hands in surrender. "Mom, Charles doesn't even have a girlfriend yet. Go after him first!"
"You're all the same. None of you are getting away!"
Philip immediately stood up. "I'm full! I have several divorce cases today. I need to get to the courthouse!"
Aurora asked in confusion, "Divorce? Aren't you a criminal lawyer? Why are you handling divorce cases?"
Philip's expression didn't change.
"Well, there was a dismemberment involved, so it became a criminal case. I'm leaving now!"
Philip grabbed the bread and milk from the table and left The Windsor Mansion without looking back.
George pressed his forehead. "Mom, I just did surgery for over twenty hours straight. My head really hurts! I'm going to sleep!"
Aurora's attention immediately shifted.
"You're a doctor yourself, yet you don't take care of your own health. Go sleep now."
Juniper immediately performed a head-down eating act, lowering her presence to avoid being noticed by Aurora.
Aurora's gaze fell on Juniper.
"Juniper!"
"Mom! I have to go to the lab tomorrow, so I won't be home for dinner tonight."
Juniper's vacation had come suddenly, and it was time for it to end.
There was a pile of work waiting for her at the lab, and Juniper was still thinking about her data.
She didn't want to be arranged into blind dates by Aurora so soon.
Aurora felt a headache watching these kids flee in panic.
"These kids, not one of them gives me peace of mind. I saw a scandal about Richard yesterday and wanted to ask him about it!"
But Richard wasn't even coming home, always saying he was filming or doing press tours.
Emilia asked in surprise, "A scandal? With who?"
Aurora happily took out her phone and showed Catherine and Emilia the screenshots she had prepared.
Catherine looked at the familiar smiling face in the photo. "Sophia? Isn't she filming with Richard?"
"Yes, she even came to the house a few days ago."
Sophia had met Aurora when she came with Oscar to the Windsor family's public stone gambling event, so they were familiar with each other.
Aurora said excitedly, "Catherine, you don't know this, but Richard never creates scandals with actresses. This is the first time, and Richard's company hasn't even denied it. Do you know anything about this actress? I couldn't find anything!"
No wonder Aurora was so interested.
Richard hated using scandals with actresses for publicity the most. He'd had zero scandals since his debut, and now that he finally had one, he didn't deny it. Aurora was thrilled!
The information Sophia used for her debut was all made up by herself. Her past with Galactic Aurora Collective had to stay buried, so even if Aurora investigated, it wouldn't help.
Catherine thought for a moment and simply called Sophia in front of Aurora to ask about the scandal.
"Don't be silly, Mars and the others probably bought the trending topic. I don't need to use that kind of thing for publicity."
"But I heard Richard on the phone on set, and I vaguely heard something about pregnancy. Does Richard have a girlfriend he hasn't told you about?"
Hearing this, Aurora dropped her fork!
"I need to go ask Richard. How could he not tell the family about something this big!"
Catherine couldn't stop Aurora and Brandon. She could only press her forehead and ask Sophia to look after them when she saw Aurora on set, to make sure nothing went wrong.
Marcus coughed twice, his gaze falling on Emilia.
"I see you're about the same age as Catherine. Do you need to go to school? I can arrange it for you."
Emilia waved her hands repeatedly in refusal. "No, no, no, Marcus. My grades were terrible when I was in school."
The Windsor family kids had all been top students since childhood.
Marcus clearly had never seen a child with such poor grades. He momentarily forgot to manage his expression and stared at Emilia in shock.
When it came to making her go to school, Emilia's head hurt just thinking about it!
Marcus immediately gave up on the idea of sending Emilia to school.
After the meal, Emilia returned to Blade of Dusk. Catherine looked at Alexander, who was still in her room and wouldn't leave.
"You should go rest."
"My house is too cold and empty. It doesn't feel like a home. Your house is lively, I really like it."
Catherine thought of The Howard Mansion's coldness. That house was luxurious and extravagant, but it didn't have the feeling of a home.
"I'll arrange a guest room for you."
"But I want to be in your room."
Catherine looked at Alexander acting shamelessly and frowned. "Alexander, does your grandfather know how shameless you are?"
Alexander's face showed a faint smile. "My grandfather probably thinks I'm not shameless enough. If being shameless can keep the person I want to keep, then I don't mind."
Catherine looked at him helplessly.
Then she thought of Felix's winking and suggestive looks. Felix really did wish Alexander would be even more shameless.
"I need to pick someone up at the airport today, so you can rest here."
Alexander grabbed Catherine's hand, his eyes looking pitiful. "I'll go with you."
Anyone Catherine would personally pick up must be very important to her.
"Your condition isn't suitable for going out."
"It's okay, I want to be with you."
Alexander held Catherine's hand and placed a light kiss on the back of it.
"If you're not willing to share your life with me, then at least don't refuse to let me into your life."
Catherine looked down at him, her long lashes casting shadows.
"Alexander, didn't you say you'd tell me when we first met?"
