Chapter 267: I Really Think It's Not Worth It for You

"Dad, after the insurance refund, the $800 will go back to Nina, so she won't lose anything! If I give Nina another $800, wouldn't she be making an extra $800 for nothing? According to you, I might as well just transfer $800 to Nina directly!"

Bobby was getting more and more agitated; everyone was giving him a hard time.

Emily was always opposing him. Hitting her a few times was no big deal, but she even resorted to using a knife.

His parents were useless; they couldn't even help him keep a decent job.

Nina was so rich, yet she was always eyeing his little savings.

The money he earned this year was spent on food, drinks, and entertainment, or on gifts for Sophia. He even paid three months' rent, utilities, and maintenance fees for Sophia, even though it was Nina's house, and Nina didn't cut him any slack.

After Sophia moved, she left behind many things, saying she wanted to leave the past behind.

Bobby naturally supported her, but buying new daily necessities cost another $2,000. Sophia even threw away her cosmetics and bought two new sets.

Bobby had boasted that he would cover everything for her, so he couldn't back down from his word and had to buy them.

In the end, he didn't have enough money and had to use his credit card.

"Bobby, she's your sister..."

"I don't want to talk about it. I have things to do. Bye."

Bobby impatiently hung up the phone and turned to walk towards Sophia, who was still trying on shoes.

"Bobby, who upset you?" Sophia, always perceptive, immediately asked Bobby in a sweet voice.

Bobby waved his hand dismissively, looking disdainful, "It's Emily again. She needs money and asked me for $15,000 right off the bat. Does she think I'm an ATM? $15,000 is nothing to me, but why should I give her my hard-earned money so easily?

She just eats and sleeps at home, doesn't do any housework, and my parents have to take care of her. She can't even properly take care of a child. Tommy was sick a few days ago, and she still has the nerve to ask me for $15,000 for household expenses! I'd rather throw the money into the sea than give it to her!"

Bobby always portrayed himself as a wealthy and responsible family man in front of Sophia.

All the problems at home were because of Emily.

He was never at fault.

Sophia's eyes lit up upon hearing this.

It seemed Bobby had given Emily quite a bit of money before; otherwise, Emily wouldn't dare to ask for $10,000 right away.

If she stayed with Bobby, $15,000 or even $100,000 for household expenses wouldn't be a problem.

"Bobby, don't be angry. You have to understand that people's qualities and values are different. Some women deserve to be left with nothing. You've been so good to her, yet she's still not satisfied and treats your family poorly. I really feel bad for you."

Sophia looked heartbroken.

Bobby found Sophia more and more pleasing to the eye.

"You don't know, she used tricks to marry me and even got pregnant before marriage. And look at other people's kids; they grow up in no time without so much trouble.

The three of us siblings didn't have so many issues. Why is it so hard for Emily to take care of a child? The kid is always getting sick, and every time he gets sick, she asks for money!"

Bobby never missed a chance to paint himself as a victim.

Last time Tommy got sick, Emily asked him for $100, saying the medical bill was $200. He reluctantly gave it to her after seeing the bill.

If he had known kids were so expensive, he wouldn't have had one in the first place.
