Chapter 97

Alicia and Diane were both done with their breakfast and Adams didn't even join them, this didn't sit well with Alicia, in fact nothing at this point is going well with her, she doesn't even like the fact that Adams is letting Evie stay with them, but then what can she do, if she doesn't consent then that would make her look like the bad person here, and she's not about to leave that kind of impression on Evie.

"Mommy I'm tired, I want to sleep." Diane said, interrupting her thoughts.

"Okay baby, I'll just clear this up and take you to your room okay?" She replied. Diane nods.

Alicia hurriedly cleared the table, when she was done, she went to carry Diane and they both left for her room. When they arrived at Diane's room, she tucked her in and waited until she fell asleep, she made sure everything was okay with her before leaving her to sleep.

Alicia stood outside Diane's room contemplating if she should go search for Adams or not, she knew he's going to be with Evie and she wanted to let him catch up with his friend but a huge part of her was curious to know what they could possibly be doing together and so she went to look for him.

Locating Evie's room wasn't even hard at all, when she got to a particular wing of the mansion, she heard loud laughter coming from a room and that's how she found them. She quietly walked towards the room, being careful to not make her presence known. Evie's door was slightly opened, giving her the opportunity to take a peak.

Adams and Evie were both seated on her bed, talking and laughing, but that's not even the issue, what's wrong with that picture is the way Evie keeps on touching him, each time she talks she makes sure to touch him, more like romancing his body and Adams wasn't even doing anything! Or maybe he's pretending to not notice or something, but Alicia's jealousy level only grew high as she watched them, she wants nothing more than to go there and separate them. Evie knew he's obviously not single, yet she's acting all slutty.

"That's it! I've had enough!" Alicia fumed. She angrily knocked on the door and didn't even wait to be ushered in, she just stormed into Evie's room.

It's like Adams suddenly remembered everything when he saw her. "Oh goodness." He gasp, then he stood up. "I'm really sorry Alicia, I got caught up in talking to Evie I completely forgot to join you and Diane for breakfast." He apologized.

"Hey Alicia." Evie smiled at her. "I'm really sorry for stealing Adams from you, we both had a lot of catching up to do."

Alicia only glanced at her and ignored her words. "I want to speak to you Adams." She said with a stern look on her face.

"Sure, what's it?" Adams asked and she mentally rolled her eyes at him.

"In private."

"Err..Okay, let's go." He made to leave but Evie hurriedly stood up and held him back.

"Come on Alicia, there's no need to be secretive now, you can say whatever you want to say in front of me, just be free, I don't mind at all and I really hope and would love if we both get along perfectly."

The smile on Evie's face was now starting to annoy Alicia, the lady was acting so innocent and smiles all the time, a smile that doesn't even look genuine, it made Alicia wonder if her cheeks doesn't hurt from all that smiling.

"Adams has been telling me a lot about you and Diane, I can't believe she takes after him and even has his allergy." She chuckled. "I really wouldn't have guessed that you both got divorced at some point too."

"What?" Alicia said in surprise, she can't believe Adams told her about that too.

"Please, don't mind me, I'm glad you two were able to settle your differences and are now back together. It's all in the past now." She added. "And I really hope you don't mind me knowing all this information, you see..." She took Adams hand and linked hers to it, then she looked at Adams and Alicia didn't fail to note the look in her eyes, this is the look someone would give to a person they love.

"We don't keep secrets from each other, right my love?" She said, directing the last part to Adams.

Adams chuckled softly. "Of course, that's just how our relationship is." He replied.

Evie then looked at Alicia, giving her a look that says 'I told you so'

Alicia couldn't even understand what was going on at this point, but it's already so obvious, she doesn't think she and Evie will be able to get along well, as long as this act of hers continues, she's never going to warm up to her. It's now as if she's the fiancee here.

Alicia angrily went to Adams, took his hand and pulled him away from Evie, then she forced out a smile. "Me too, I really hope we'll both get along well and won't have any issues with each other." She said to Evie. "But I still want to talk to MY MAN in private!" She stated. She didn't even give Evie a chance to say anything else before dragging Adams out of her room.

As they both exited the room, she made sure to slam Evie's door so hard that even Adams was surprised, but he didn't say anything and waited until they got to their room. When they arrived at their room, Alicia made sure to close the door and then she let go of Adams.

"Really Adams!? Really!?" She fumed. "Is this how it's going to be now huh?"

Adams couldn't tell what he did wrong. "I...I don't get it Alicia, what happened? Did I do something to upset you?" He asked in confusion.

"What haven't you done to upset me! First you agreed to that woman staying with us, let's even put that aside and talk about how you didn't pay any attention to her being all over you and using her filthy hands to touch your body however she likes!" She half yelled.

"What?" Adams blurted out in shock.

Alicia rolled her eyes at him. "Oh please don't give me that look!" She snapped. "I saw everything with my own two eyes Adams, I stood outside her room watching you both for a while before going into her room and I saw the way she was looking at you and how she kept on touching you too, yet you didn't even bother doing anything, it's like you were enjoying her hands being all over your body!" She accused.

Alicia then began roughly touching him. "You like this huh! You loved when she did this didn't you!"

"Alicia stop it! Just stop it!" Adams instantly held both her hands.

"Let go of me!" She said with gritted teeth.

"I won't let go, not until you come back to your senses."

"Oh great! So now I'm the crazy one here."

"That's not what I meant Alicia." Adams replied in frustration. "I don't get what you're saying and if Evie really did that I didn't even notice and I didn't know you would read such meaning into it, I'm so sorry if you feel that way but you know too well that I only have eyes for you Alicia, just you and no one else. You know too well that the only woman who's capable of driving me insane is you, nobody else matters but you Alicia, is this how low you think of my love for you? Do you really have no idea how much I love you? How would you even think that I would enjoy another woman's touch!? Heck the only woman's touch that my body will ever react to is yours."

"I love you so damn much Alicia, so much it hurts, the only one I would ever think of is you so please don't suspect me like that, it hurts so much you know. I apologize if my closeness to Evie upsets you, I got carried away with the fact that I haven't seen her for years and I just wanted to spend some quality time with her but if you're not okay with it then I'll try to limit it." He said calmly. "You know I'll never do anything to hurt you, never ever ever again will I try to hurt your feelings."

Alicia now feels so bad about her actions earlier, she got carried away by her jealousy and that's what blinded her. "I'm really sorry Adams, I got jealous seeing you two together and I didn't like how she was being so close to you, that's why I reacted that way." She apologized, not being able to even meet his eyes.

Adams let go of her hand and then used his finger tips to lift her chin up, making sure she meets his gaze. "It's okay love, I understand, I just hope that you'll talk to me if I'm doing something you don't like rather than suspect me like that. If you're not okay with any of my actions please tell me immediately and I promise I won't do it again." He replied, staring at her with so much love in his eyes.

Alicia nods her head. "I just love you so much and don't want to loose you to anyone else." She said, causing Adams to smile.

"I love you even more and I'm equally afraid to loose you too my love." He replied and then he kissed her, it was meant to be a simple kiss but then things got out of hands and they let their emotions take over. The next thing Alicia knew was she being swept off her feet, this caused her to giggle as Adams carried her to their bed and gently laid her down on it, not breaking their kiss.

Unknown to them, Evie stood outside eves dropping on their conversation, she overheard everything Alicia said and her blood boiled with both rage and jealousy. She balled her fist, her face red with anger and then she stormed off.
