Chapter 114

The police has been questioning Adams, asking him about the location of Alicia but he kept on telling them that he doesn't know, they even threatened to torture him so they can get the truth out of him, but Adams words never changed no matter what they said to him.

One of the officers interrogating him got so frustrated and was about torturing him when another officer interrupted them, he told them that they just got a tip about Alicia's whereabouts and that she's in Adams company, locked in his office.

On hearing this, the officers glared dangerously at Adams. "So that's where you've been keeping her huh? Locked away in your office thinking no one will ever find her right?"

"W... what?" Adams stuttered in disbelief. He tried speaking with the police, but the wouldn't hear him out, they forced him up and took him back to his cell, telling him to pray hard that nothing bad happens to Alicia otherwise he will regret it for the rest of his life.

The police hurriedly drove to Adams company, so many reporters were already gathered outside his company, taking photos and throwing questions to the police. The head officer could only answer few of their questions before they went into the company with their search warrant so they could search his office.

When they got to Adams office, at first everything looked normal until one of the officers noticed the other door, they immediately opened it and were surprised to find a room there, they then began searching the room and that's when they found Alicia in the closet, she was still unconcious.

"Oh God.'' One of the officers muttered. "How could he do this to her?" He added, feeling both anger and pity.

The head officer asked them to call an ambulance immediately and then they gently brought Alicia out of the closet.

They only left the office when the ambulance arrived, while they carried Alicia out, the reporters wouldn't stop taking pictures. They successfully got her into the ambulance and she was taken to the hospital where she'll be properly treated.

The information about Alicia being found eventually got to Mike, he managed to find out which hospital she was taken to and immediately rushed down there, he also didn't forget to pass the news to Adams parents and also tell them the hospital.

When Mike arrived at the hospital, the police were still there, guarding Alicia, they didn't want to let him anywhere near her but he told them he knew Alicia well and fought hard to be allowed to see her, thankfully the police agreed, but they didn't leave him with her alone, they were there in the room with him.

Seeing her, Mike sighed in relief, he was so thankful to God that no serious harm was caused to her, he asked the head officer about her condition and he told him that they found traces of a sedative in her system, apart from that she's all right and will wake up once the sedative wears out.

Mike then tried talking to the officer about releasing Adams, but the man refused, saying they can't do anything until Alicia's wakes up. Mike did his best, but seeing that the officer won't budge, he gave up, his only option is to wait for Alicia to wake up so all this can be sorted out, because the more time they waste, they might be given the real culprit a chance to escape.

Soon Adams parents also arrived at the hospital with Diane, they were both still grieving May and all this problems suddenly came into their life. When they saw an unconscious Alicia, Adams mother couldn't help but cry, even Diane began to cry seeing her mother lying in the hospital bed, it took a lot to calm the little girl but she wouldn't leave her mother's side even for a second.

A couple hours went by before Alicia finally woke up. When she woke up, she was surprised to see herself in a hospital surrounded by not just her family but also the police.

"Mommy!" Diane screamed in joy when she saw Alicia awake, she wanted to hug her but Mrs Bridget was careful not to hurt Alicia in anyway so she held the little girl back, but Alicia told her that it was alright and asked to hug her daughter. When she had Diane in her arms, she hugged her lovingly and began to cry, she had no idea what happened and didn't even think she would ever get to see her daughter again.

"Oh baby, I'm so sorry, I'm so sorry." She cried.

The whole family also joined in the hug, each of them crying and being thankful that she's alright.

Soon the Doctor also came in to check up on her and then he confirmed that everything's okay, he only said to her to get enough rest and that she'll be fine.

When Alicia was calm, she looked around and noticed that Adams was nowhere to be seen, she then looked at Mike. "What happened Mike? Why are the police here and where's Adams?" She asked.

Mike didn't waste anytime in filling her in on what happened.

"What!?" Alicia yelled in shock, she couldn't believe that Ashton would frame Adams for what he did to her. Was that what he meant by using her to get something for himself?

"That monster!" Alicia cursed so loud, almost forgetting that Diane was present. She looked at her daughter and then apologized.

Seeing that things were about to get serious, Mrs Bridget managed to take Diane away by bribing her with some ice cream, she asked Diane if she wanted to come with her to get ice cream for everyone, hearing that, Diane happily agreed to go with Mrs Bridget and they both left the room with Mr Antonio.

When they left, the officer took the opportunity to talk to Alicia. "Miss Alicia—"

"He didn't do it." Alicia immediately cut him off.

"What do you mean Ma'am? Are you saying Mr Adams isn't the one who kidnapped you and also murdered another man?"

"Murder?" Alicia repeated in disbelief.

"Yes Ma'am, we found a body in the parking lot of his company."

"Adams would never murder anyone and he's not the one who kidnapped me too." Alicia defended. "The one who kidnapped me is Ashton Kutcher, he hates Adams and used me to get back at him, all this is the handwork of Ashton, not Adams! You arrested the wrong person." She cried out.

The police all shared a worried look, they could now understand what's going on. Ashton framed Adams for a crime he committed.

"Oh shit!" The head officer muttered. "We sincerely apologize for everything Miss Alicia, I promise to make things right." They were about leaving but Alicia stopped them.

"There's one more thing officer." She said and then she looked at Mike, her tears began to flow again. "He also told me who's responsible for murdering May."

"What?" Mike eyes widen in shock.

"I know who did it, Ashton told me, he said Evie is the one who sent someone to murder her..." She looked at the officer. "Evie Blair is the one behind the murder of May, you find Ashton, you get the evidence you need."

The officer thanked Alicia and they all left immediately, sending words to every police station in the city about getting Ashton Kutcher before it's too late.

When the officers left, Alicia slowly got out of bed, she then took Mike's hand. "I'm so sorry Mike, this is all my fault, if May hadn't defended Diane then none of this would have happened, she would never have died. I'm so sorry Mike, I'm so sorry." She cried.

Mike had tears streaming down his cheeks, he shook his head. "It's not your fault Alicia, nothing is your fault. May loves Diane so much and I'm so sure that she never regretted what she did, you don't have to apologize for anything, it's not your fault.''

Alicia instantly hugged Mike, crying bitterly.

"It's okay, soon she's going to get the justice she deserves. Everything will be alright." He assured her, patting her back in a comforting manner.
