Chapter 107

"I hope you're happy now, you finally got what you wanted." Evie said to Alicia.

Alicia scoffed in disbelief, is she really try to pin this all on her!? "You're impossible, Evie. I seriously can't believe you right now, you were the one who came in here with a motive, if you had just stayed quietly then none of this would have happened, so don't even try to blame me for the things you brought upon yourself. Another mistake you made was bringing my daughter into this and trying to kill her, I'm so glad you confessed to what you did, at least Adams now know the kind of person you are, he now knows you're nothing but a scheming and lying bitch!" Alicia retorted.

"You really have no idea who you're messing with Alicia, if you think you've won then think again, this isn't over, this isn't the end and I won't accept defeat so easily. You may have succeeded in getting Adams to kick me out but watch out because I always bit back harder and you've bitten more than you can chew already. I will get back at you for this, I promise you that! All of you will pay for the humiliation you've caused me."

"Didn't Adams say he didn't want to see you here by the time he gets back?" Alicia questioned, ignoring her threats. "You better leave while you still can Evie, if I return and see you here then I will drag you out myself and I'll be doing that by pulling your hair so hard that all of it will fall out." Alicia replied furiously, then she walked out on Evie.

When Alicia left, Evie wiped off her tears. "Just you wait and see, I'm slowly going to make sure you loose the ones you love, you'll also get to experience the same pain I'm feeling right now Alicia. I swear to God I'll get back at you for this!" She vowed.

Evie went to her room and began packing her things, she had thought that she would at least get one more chance to see Adams but he didn't even come out and so she left, but she took one last look at the mansion and promised that she's going to do everything possible to make sure Alicia also didn't get to live in that house and have Adams all to herself.

Evie returned to the house the company had given her when she came to Seattle, she's always had somewhere to stay but lied to Adams that she didn't have any place to stay because she wanted to be with him, now everything is ruined because of Alicia and she can't take it.

No matter how hard she tried to get over the slap Adams gave her, she just can't forget about her slap and her mind keeps going back to it. She placed her palm on her cheek and once more her tears began to flow, this slap is nothing compared to the beating May gave to her, since the one who hit her was Adams, it hurts a thousand times more.

Her phone suddenly rang, pulling her out of her thoughts. Evie grabbed her bag and took her phone out, when she saw it was Marcel who was calling her, she instantly answered the call.

"Hello, Boss. My flight just landed in Seattle, would you like for me to come to you?"

"No, Marcel. Just lodge in an hotel for now and send me the location, I'll come to you. I need to get this job done as soon as possible."

"Okay, Boss. I'll do just that." Marcel replied and she hung up.

Evie instantly wiped off her tears after the call, she's so done crying, now it's time to make her enemies pay for what they've done to her and the first person on her list is May, she hasn't forgotten about her and is sure going to make her pay dearly for what she did to her. She knows Alicia and May are more like sisters, her first step in getting back at Alicia will be to take a loved one from her, then she will also feel her pain.

The thought of getting rid of May was enough to make Evie smile, soon it'll all be over. She then called Ashton who answered the call almost immediately.

"Hey, what's up? I've been patiently waiting for your call, when are we going to get that plan of yours started?'' Ashton asked.

Evie could note the impatience in his voice and this made her smirk. "Soon, Ashton. Get ready because we're just a bit close to achieving our goal."

"I was wondering what the hold up was but now I'm glad to hear this." Ashton replied.

Evie then thought about asking him about May, just to get more information on her. "I have a question Ashton."

"Sure, go ahead." Ashton permitted.

"What do you know about Alicia's friend, May?" She asked.

"Err...Nothing much, but I can tell you that those two have been through a lot together. After Alicia and Adams divorce, when she left Seattle and went to London, she said May was the only person who offered to help her during her tough times, they're more likes sisters and are inseparable. Oh yes, she works at Adams company too." Ashton informed.

"Oh I see, she works at Adams company." Evie repeated. "What about where she lives? Do you know anything about that?"

"I'm not sure, she was staying with Alicia before but not anymore."

"I need a favor from you Ashton, please is it possible for me to get a picture of May?''

"That's going to be a little bit tough but it's possible, she once applied for a job at my company but Adams company offered her a job first. I should have her picture in her resume." Ashton replied and Evie thanked him.

"But why these questions? Why do you want to know about her? She's not important."

"Oh you have no idea how important that bitch is." Evie thought. "Nothing really, just help me with her picture ASAP! If possible I need it now."

"Alright, I'll send it to you.'' Ashton replied. Evie thanked him and hung up.

"I guess the heavens is on my side on this one." Evie smiled wickedly.
