Chapter 246 The Plan Won’t Stop Until It Succeeds
William finally found the courage to push open that door and knelt down in front of Isabella.
He held her hand tightly, unwilling to let go.
"How could I be so stupid? I left you alone and made you wait all these days."
"I will not do this again next time."
"I promise."
William pressed a kiss on the back of her hand.
"Isabella, sleep now, sleep peacefully."
"From today on, I will be by your side every night."
Dark clouds covered the moonlight, and the streets grew quieter and quieter, with only the sound of the wind blowing through.
William held Isabella's body and slowly closed his eyes.
Those memories were evidence of his crime, but also the only way he could see Isabella alive.
He would not run away anymore.
When the moon disappeared into the darkness and sunlight spread across every corner of the city, William opened his eyes from his sleep, his eyes still moist.
He wiped away the tear stains from the corners of his eyes and picked Isabella up again.
He straightened her body, carefully removed her veil, and then every piece of clothing on her.
The horrible dark patches on her skin came into view, but he was not scared at all.
He touched those marks no living person should have, then kissed her neck.
His lips fell on those marks, but his eyes showed pleasure.
"Isabella, let me brush your hair."
William forgot about time, forgot how long Isabella had been gone.
But he still had endless things he wanted to tell her in person.
"I should have organized an art exhibition for you."
"Your paintings are the greatest artworks in the world; people would definitely love them."
He grabbed the comb and carefully brushed her hair.
But Isabella's hair had already lost its vitality and had stopped growing long ago.
The comb pulled out a clump of hair, tangled around every tooth.
William's hands were shaking. He pulled all the hair off the comb and placed it on the vanity table,
then continued brushing Isabella's hair.
He clearly remembered using the same strength before, and Isabella's hair was fine.
Why was Isabella's hair getting damaged by him today?
Dead people are not supposed to grow hair.
William did not dare brush anymore. He gathered all the fallen hair together and carefully stored it in a small box.
He changed Isabella into new clothes and a new veil,
then continued talking to her about mundane everyday things.
If it were not for the corpse in front of the vanity, they would have looked just like a sweet married couple.
He pushed the wheelchair downstairs. The people locked in those two cages had already woken up.
Today, Isla's reaction was somewhat unexpected for William.
"William!"
She shouted loudly, her eyes showing no fear, but rather a kind of determination.
William stopped, because Isla had been like a corpse for many days.
She had no extra expressions and would not talk to anyone.
Even Juniper could not get her to open her mouth.
William was curious about what she wanted to say today.
"Let me..." Isla paused, "Let me talk to Isabella, let me be alone with her for a while."
"I know you will not let me go back to the hospital. Right now, I just want to talk to my own daughter."
"William, I am her mother. Please grant me this small wish."
"Please."
With that, Isla actually knelt down.
She bowed her head to the floor in front of William, her forehead banging against the ground.
"Please, William."
"Let me see her, be alone with her for a while."
"Whatever you want me to do, I will agree to it."
William stared at her for a long time. When he opened his mouth, every word he said was trembling.
"You want to be alone with her?"
"What are you plotting now?"
William's face darkened. "Are you trying to hurt her again?"
"Do not think I have forgotten how you treated her before."
Juniper at the side also stepped forward and spoke up to accuse her.
"That is right, she must have bad intentions."
"You absolutely cannot trust her."
"Isla hated Isabella the most. She told me that herself."
"You absolutely cannot let Isabella be alone with her, or else she might do something crazy."
When Isla raised her head again, her eyes were wet.
"I did not, I would not do that."
"She is my daughter."
"Juniper, how can you be so vicious?"
"It was you who deceived me before, twisting things again and again, making me wrongly accuse Isabella."
"Why, why are you still like this even now?"
"How can there be such a vicious woman like you in this world?"
Isla shook her head while crying.
"I just want to apologize to her one last time."
Juniper suddenly said, "I was the one stirring up trouble, but am I the only bad person?"
"Godmother, if you really loved your own daughter, how could you have been fooled by me?"
"Think about it yourself. When she was alive, did you ever look at her even once?"
"Do you remember when she donated her kidney to you..."
"Stop talking!" Isla covered her ears, trying to escape from everything again.
Even William had to admit that Juniper was indeed Lester's closest match.
When it came to saying harsh and bitter words, she was second to none.
Those two were truly a match made in heaven.
"She is my daughter, I do not want to hurt her."
"I just..."
Isla murmured, closing her eyes, denying Juniper's accusations over and over again.
Even though this time, she was sincere, hoping to have some space alone with Isabella.
She was prepared for the worst. William could torture her however he wanted.
As long as he let her spend some time with her own daughter, that would be enough.
William could sense she was not lying.
But he would absolutely not agree to her request.
Because he was a devil who would not soften his heart. He lived to make these people experience the greatest pain.
The more they suffered, the more successful his plan would be.
Isla wanted to be alone with Isabella, so he definitely would not give her that chance.
"Stop crying, it is so annoying." William's face was cold. "You two really pissed me off today. Looks like you have rested well enough and are ready for new punishment."
"Dylan, take both of them to the van."
William took the wheelchair upstairs.
He held Isabella's hand to say goodbye. "You are safest here; no one can hurt you anymore."
"Isabella, wait for me. I will be back to keep you company very soon."
When he came back downstairs, Isla and Juniper had already been loaded into the cargo compartment of the truck.
William had been waiting for Juniper to get pregnant, but today, he decided to make Isla pregnant by those homeless men, too.
This godmother and goddaughter pair used to be as close as mother and daughter, sharing good fortune together.
Today, William would make them share everything together, even pregnancy.
If once was not enough, then they would do it multiple times.
Until the plan succeeded.
When the truck's iron door was closed, William looked at that face full of despair and showed a slight smile.
